00:00And Zeno, one of the stories entering this ACC showdown in Dublin has been the line movement
00:09we have seen over the past week or so, 13 and a half at open in favor of FSU.
00:16It's down by a full field goal, only 10 and a half points in favor of the Noles, the 10th
00:21ranked team nationally in the AP preseason poll.
00:24Zeno, what do you attribute this substantial line movement to?
00:30Is it Alex Atkins, the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, not being able to
00:34be on the sidelines because he's serving a suspension?
00:37Is it believing in Haynes King and this Georgia Tech offense and a revamped sort of Georgia
00:42Tech look?
00:44I don't know.
00:45Is it the fact that along with the offensive coordinator not being there, you have a new
00:48quarterback and you're going overseas and the travel and all those things.
00:52But guys, the line movement here to me is peculiar.
00:57But don't be surprised to see some buyback as we get closer to the weekend on Florida
01:02State.
01:03I'm curious to see if we hit the bottom of the market here with this number at 10 and
01:06a half, and it's going to start to go back in the other direction.
01:09I mean, if a 10 popped up, I would grab it immediately.
01:13I'm on Florida State.
01:14I'm on Florida State the whole way.
01:15I think this is playable to Florida State minus 13 and a half guys, Georgia Tech last
01:21year.
01:22Okay.
01:23Out of 130 college football teams, their total defense was ranked 120th out of 130 total
01:28college football teams.
01:29Their run defense was ranked 128th in the nation.
01:34Now I understand that they have hired Tyler Santucci from Duke and Duke had the best defense
01:39in the ACC last year, but you know, he didn't bring with him the players.
01:45He hasn't been able to recruit anybody.
01:46He hasn't been able to, you know, bring people into, to play in this defense.
01:50Even if Georgia Tech's defense, let's just call it is better.
01:56Are they still one of the 30, 40 worst defenses in the country?
02:00Yes.
02:01Like, I mean, are we really assuming that Florida State doesn't have the just better
02:07horses in the barn at this point in time to go out and beat him?
02:10And it's Haynes King.
02:11I mean, I think Haynes King is talented.
02:13I think he's done well for Georgia Tech, but he's still a little mistake prone.
02:16I mean, there's enough here for me to go back to Seminoles.
02:19I'm not really scared by the line movement.
02:21It feels like a gift.
02:23It could be an overreaction.
02:24And when you talk about three points from the opening line at 13 and a half, you're
02:27probably getting some good value here on Florida State.
02:29I'm going to take it.
02:30I don't think I'll wait for a 10.
02:31It's not going to matter at that point.
02:32I'm going to need 11 anyway.
02:34So I think the Seminoles are the right side here.
02:37I think their defensive front is still intact and still very good.
02:40And I'm not worried about Georgia Tech.
02:43Their defense, I don't think is going to be able to slow down the offense in their run
02:47game in the transfer from Alabama.
02:50Marcus Ben would say on a day-to-day basis, he's worried about the fragility here.
02:54The Florida State players and their coaching staff are getting hammered in the Orange Bowl
02:57last year by 60 points.
02:58I tend to set that aside here when taking a look at this game.
03:02So if we are, how do you get ready for this game as a handicapper?
03:05Overseas, two teams playing an ACC opener in Dublin.
03:09Is there any advantages or disadvantages because is that why people are just saying, let me
03:13lean towards the points because it's overseas and technically we don't know what we're getting
03:17out of Florida State?
03:18I mean, that, and you know, I guess the travel, from what I understand too, the weather isn't
03:23supposed to be bad.
03:24Like you're looking at the weather reports, doesn't look like it's going to rain.
03:29The weather may be favorable and that may help Georgia Tech out a little bit as far
03:33as, you know, not having to force the run issue so much.
03:37So I think there's that and look, which coaching staff do you truly trust more?
03:42I guess what the boils down to, it doesn't matter that Alex Atkins isn't coaching this
03:45game.
03:47It takes four weeks to get ready for this game.
03:48Like I still trust Mike Correll in Florida State a lot more than Brent Key in Georgia
03:53Tech.
03:54And that's not a slide on Brent Key.
03:55They just, again, this is a more experienced team with flat out better athletes.
03:59I know Georgia Tech has taken care of Florida State in the past couple of meetings, they've
04:03been able to upset them and play well against them, but none of that matters in this spot
04:09here.
04:10It's different players, different everything.
04:11So again, I just have to look objectively at the rosters and the players and trust that
04:16Florida State has better horses in the barn and that the travel won't affect it because
04:21guess what?
04:22Both teams are traveling.
04:23It should affect both of them equally in theory.
