00:00Here is Mike McDaniel.
00:02This was him earlier this morning on where things we got enough time.
00:06Yeah, we're just starting the show.
00:07So we got to get three hours.
00:08I think we'll make it.
00:10Here is Mike McDaniel where things stand with the cheetah
00:14who is wearing a brace on his hand, but I says not to be overly
00:18concerned.
00:21McCoach and I kind of alluded to it with Jalen Waddle back at home,
00:28but there's there's certain situations where you're trained.
00:32You're in training camp and you're practicing and you know, Tyree
00:37could practice today.
00:39However, there's also times that because of the timing of where
00:44their bodies are at kind of puts them at risk to get further
00:48injury.
00:50And and so that's it's really from a from medical standpoint.
00:56You're just trying to let something cool down.
00:58So you don't have something happen at the at the expense of regular
01:05season games.
01:06So he's he's been very active, but we're trying to make sure we
01:11keep him out of harm's way.
01:13There you go.
01:14Would you like me to break that down for you?
01:16Sure Tyreek has an injury where it was an important game.
01:21He would play but we don't want to put him out there and have it
01:25linger, right?
01:27That's it.
01:30He doesn't need practice.
01:33He's fine.
01:34We get it with him.
01:35Are we being overcautious just because of how we end?
01:38Yeah, no, no, no, no, no.
01:39It has nothing to do with that.
01:41Everyone certain teams and certain coaches are just overly
01:46cautious and that's okay, right?
01:49Because you have to understand where how this team is looking
01:54at all injuries, right?
01:58They're looking at it from this standpoint.
02:01I really need these guys.
02:05Ready.
02:07When fall fall turns to winter.
02:10And so I don't want to start the season off with an injury that
02:16nags him the whole year to where it could get to the point where
02:20then he can't go.
02:21Sure.
02:22And so that's how they're kind of playing that with a lot of
02:27these injuries.
02:29And so I mean like look he's even out there yesterday.
02:32He just wasn't catching but he's working out with guys.
02:35Like you said last segment.
02:36I think waddles the one you're concerned about just because
02:38this is a little reminiscent of last year and he admitted that
02:42you know his body didn't it took him a while to kind of even
02:46get into a comfort zone last year.
02:47So yeah, you're a little bit you're you're a little bit just
02:50keeping an eye on it, right?
02:52We already know that the Odell thing is is probably going to
02:55be slow rolled and you just lost River Cray craft for a time
02:58being.
02:59So let's get a little get a little thin lot of reps for the
03:03another news as a comma.
03:07He's he's coming along.
03:11So you do have other options.
03:14Yeah.
03:15Yeah, but he's unproven in the regular season.
03:17He's, you know, maybe the greatest preseason receiver we've
03:19ever seen but we really don't know what he can do in the
03:21regular, but again.
03:25What they see on a daily basis is what shows them that he is
03:32ready for that moment, right?
03:36The the Advancements that he's made in his skill and his
03:40abilities is what gives the coaches in the quarterback and
03:45the team comfort knowing that, you know, he's ready for that
03:48that spot now.
03:50Oh, you have you do have options is what I'm saying.
03:55So from that standpoint, there's been a few guys with all the
04:01guys have been out that have kind of shown you something
04:05that where they might not be as good as the guys you would
04:08have in there.
04:10They've shown some promise and that they could hold the fort
04:13down until those guys get back.
