00:00Yes. Tyreek Hill, he addressed the media this week and uh talked about his deal and uh you know
00:06he not only got a big money deal, he had a good weekend. Big money deal, he's named number one
00:11player in the NFL but also gave a lot of credit to as a guy who was a champion who came here.
00:18He says he's a better player now because of Mike McDaniel and Tua. Here's the cheetah.

00:27this to my family. I said like y'all are so used to me winning and like getting stuff y'all don't
00:31even celebrate with me no more. Like it's just like we wake up it's like oh you're number one,
00:35congrats and we just move on. You know what I'm saying? Oh you got an extension and we move on
00:40man but um my grandparents flew in with me and my wife you know obviously um we went and celebrated
00:46you know dinner um celebrated the number one day we got the contract extension man that
00:50that's why I play man you feel me um to reach moments like this and for me to say that um
00:57me to call my shot in 2017 and say that I was gonna be the number one player you know um says
01:03who I am as a as a player man like I'm always hungry I'm always trying to find ways to get
01:07better and you know that's the only way to be in this league you know like that's how guys like
01:11myself like last in the league man trying to you know get better trying to help the team win man so
01:16I just thank God I'm I'm grateful to be in this position you know I told coach McDaniel man
01:21without you I still be getting ranked number 15 in Kansas City you know so it's awesome man to be
01:26a part of this man with Chris Greer, Mr. Ross, even Tua man like helping me become a better
01:32player man so I'm excited man I'm grateful like I won't I won't never take any of this for granted.

01:43I will say it's been cool when Tyreek Hill came here and immediately started backing Tua publicly
01:48and everybody was uh was so mad at him because he had the audacity to say Tua was more accurate
01:54than Patrick Mahomes but he had his guys back from the start when he got down here.
01:58But can can you possess a skill that is exceptional while not being the best at your position?

02:09It's like the guy it's like it's like saying remember Brett Favre had one of the strongest
02:14arms we've ever seen as a quarterback it didn't mean he was the best quarterback in the league.

02:24Mahomes first of all he's doing it as in a situation where it sounds like sour like
02:29everybody was mad at him because it sounds like sour grapes.
02:31I don't see I didn't I didn't take it as that simply because there's a lot of different ways
02:38to play a position right and and a lot of parts of that separate you from your contemporaries.
02:49For example Josh Allen's a moose okay we we could say it's about Ben Roethlisberger
02:55one of the things about Ben Roethlisberger he could hold the ball forever till somebody got
02:59open because if you got there you couldn't get him on the ground that was what he brought.
03:05But it's not even that Leroy like the bigger point of it is it's who cares about whether
03:09they're more accurate or not accurate the bigger point is like that was he comes here at a time
03:14where Tua is maligned like Tua is a point where like he was questioning his own talent and he's
03:20publicly backing him to a guy who was very clearly the best quarterback in the league and whether
03:24it's the point or not like he had his back and the point and and to the production level of it
03:31his best two years production-wise have been with the Dolphins and so he's telling you here like yeah
03:36he has maybe a better player I don't know that's going to get as much attention as the
03:40most accurate comment because yeah they're probably all sitting here being like we're
03:45two for two you you've had your best year but we want two rings. And what I'm trying to say is one
03:49has nothing to do with the other like you're saying who is the better winner or the better
03:54quarterback. I'm not saying that I'm saying though. You're saying yeah but we're two for two
03:59well that would be a chief's argument like that is what they would be saying. But one has nothing
04:02to do with the other. What Tyreek said it has nothing to do with how good he thinks Patrick
04:08Mahomes is. That's the only point I was trying to make that everybody got all up in a tissy over
04:16him saying he's one of the most accurate quarterbacks I ever played with or the most
04:20accurate and they took it as a knock on Patrick Mahomes. Is it a tissy? I think it's a tizzy.

04:37is more accurate is not a knock on the greatness of Patrick Mahomes and that's the way people took
04:44that. And I did not because I understand that different positions you can have different
04:51qualities that make you good or great. Like one of the things about you know Patrick Mahomes that
04:58we that we saw in Aaron Rodgers was his ability to make throws in every quarterback like his body
05:07in any situation sidearm over the top under like that's the things that made Aaron Rodgers great
05:13but everybody can do that. Yeah you can't take anything obviously he's number one there's not
05:18even a fun argument but is it like Tyree's numbers are his numbers like it's not it's not
05:27wild to say that he has been a better player than the one who was in Kansas City just absolutely
05:31absolutely and and and some people would take that as saying and just for the argument saying
05:38oh he thinks two is better no and that's where I like hey man stop making everything something
05:45that is not what Tyreek has said both now and when he first got here with Tua have nothing to do
05:54with the greatness of Patrick Mahomes nothing yeah obviously not because if you're getting
06:00voted this is not a media award that he was given he was given it's a player given award
06:06right no way that's given around Thanksgiving and voted right before like Christmas and
06:14is that when they vote for it yeah that's the reason why if that's why Tyreek was number one
06:18because we're going by 2000 he was on 2000 and when they start voting it's uh it's in November
06:27we vote on a lot of stuff right and sit in the meeting room and I'm gonna tell you the interest

06:49they got to come in and do the recording and during that time if you look at last year's stats
06:55Tyreek and Lamar Jackson probably top two of the top three candidates for uh NFL MVPs so I can
07:02understand why I see why they had them at that during that time yeah I mean there was a point
07:07I think probably by that time where he was maybe even the favorite or that or that he had passed
07:12Tua in the odds to right because at one point Tua was the favorite and then uh at one point
07:18Tyreek Hill had passed him in the odds for MVP right so I can so that's the reason why Tyreek
07:24was no I get it they don't tell you when they don't tell you when they vote on these things but
07:29you know look I just think if you say one thing about a certain player it's not a knock on another
07:36guy and that's the way we all take it a lot of times right you can't like it's almost they made
07:43it sound like he couldn't come here and say anything positive right about Tua without it
07:51seeming like there's a knock on hell we just did it with Josh Allen right but he did give his flowers
08:01to uh Stefan Diggs but then he goes then he go oh well I'm happy with what we got going here
