00:00Morning Mark, so the big day, GCSE results, how's Highton still done?
00:11Done really well, thank you very much. We're really, really pleased with the outcomes for
00:14our young people. They've worked really hard, they've achieved really well. Those who attended
00:18have done what they expected to do. Some really, really good results. Exceeding our expectations,
00:23really, really proud of them.
00:24I got a 9 in Computer Science, French, Psychology, Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and I got an 8 in English Language, 7 in English Literature and 8 in Further Maths.
00:38So how pleased are you with those?
00:40I'm very pleased with them, I'm really happy with them.
00:42How do you feel about your results?
00:44I'm really happy with all of them because I was stressing that I wasn't going to pass Maths and I've got a great 9 in History as well.
00:53And what are you going to do next?
00:55I want to go to Derham Sixth Form College to do History, English Literature and Psychology.
01:01And I understand that the marking process has been back to pre-Covid levels this year so it's been harder to get the top grades?
01:08It has been harder to get top grades but our top grades are up. We've got more grade 9s, more grade 8s and more grade 7s than we've had for a number of years.
01:14So again, those who worked hard, those who engaged with us, those who attended school have done really, really well.
