00:00Lacey, do you think the Bucs and the Ducks are that close in contending for a conference
00:09championship this season?
00:10I think they are.
00:11And we talk about the dominance in terms of the physicality of the offensive line.
00:15Oregon rushed for 184 yards per game.
00:18They held opposing offenses to 112 yards on the ground.
00:22And when you look at Ohio State, that was a problem.
00:24That's why they had Quenshawn Junkins come over from Ole Miss, even though Travion Henderson
00:29was there with Kyle McCord.
00:31Ohio State and Ryan Day only averaged 139 rushing yards per game.
00:35That needs to get better.
00:36You bring in Chip Kelly, you now bring in Will Howard, and even though Will Howard has
00:41the backbone and the mental resolve playing in Kansas State, I worry about the consistency.
00:47Only 61% completion percentage last year.
00:50This is different than Justin Fields years ago and even C.J. Stroud.
00:55I worry about Will Howard's consistency, and that's why I give the edge cap to Dylan Gabriel
01:01and Oregon.
01:02So, look, I have Oregon in, because ultimately I don't think the schedule is tricky enough
01:07for them to not get there, and I think the schedule spot against Ohio State works in
01:11their favor.
01:12And their offense could very easily be the best in college football.
01:15I would expect it to certainly be one of the five best, with not just Dylan Gabriel, but
01:20Tess Johnson back, giving Evan Stewart time to ease into everything.
01:24The running back room is going to miss Bucky Irving in the passing game, but the offensive
01:27line still projects to be one of the five best in college football.
01:31But I, sometimes you come across these things and I feel like I'm on a different planet.
01:35Does anyone think that that defense is top ten in the country or something?
01:43It's not, okay, it's more likely that they are outside of the top five in their own conference
01:49than they are, to me, top five in the country.
01:52They are not as good as Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and Iowa.
01:55They just aren't.
01:56You then add in the Georges of the world, the Florida States of the world, the Alabamans
02:01of the world.
02:02I don't understand how Oregon is that number with a defense that I don't think projects
02:06top ten nationally.
