00:03You should take two of Miss Jenny's machines to Maithwaite Forest.
00:07They're repairing the lightning tree.
00:10Yes, sir, said Thomas.
00:15Jack and Alfie were excited.
00:18They couldn't wait to see the lightning tree.
00:22Why is it called the lightning tree? asked Thomas.
00:27It was struck by lightning.
00:30It's a very old and special tree, added Miss Jenny,
00:33which is why we need to repair it.
00:36But how will we know which one it is?
00:39You'll know, Kelly laughed.
00:41It's the biggest tree in the forest.
00:43We need to prop it up before it falls over, said Miss Jenny.

01:25But Max and Monty were racing recklessly through the forest.

01:33You'll hit the tree! shouted Jack.
01:36But it was too late.
01:38Max crashed into Monty and Monty crashed into the lightning tree.
01:43Oh, poor dear, sheer! grumbled Monty.
01:50The tree fell to the ground.
01:53The tree's falling down! shouted Jack.

02:00We must save it! cried Alfie.
02:04Help! Jack! I'm coming! called Jack.
02:09Move aside, little fella! said Oliver.
02:14Oliver braced his mighty arm against the tree.
02:18But that tree was too heavy.
02:20Kelly! shouted Jack.
02:22We need more help!
02:26Before long, Kelly was helping too.
02:32The three of them struggled to hold the tree upright.
02:38Get the props! called Kelly's operator.
02:43Jack raced off to get the props from Thomas.
02:51The machines strained to hold up the tree.
02:55But they were getting very tired.
02:59Soon the prop trolley had been attached to Jack and he was on his way.
03:03Thomas hoped Jack would get to the lightning tree in time.
03:08Jack went as fast as his wheels would carry him.
03:14Alfie pushed and pushed until his arm ached.
03:18I don't think I can hold this much longer! groaned Oliver.
03:24But Jack raced up just in time.
03:33The workmen soon attached the props.
03:36The lightning tree was safe.
03:40Hooray! groaned Alfie.

03:46A terrific job! she said.

03:52Kelly, Oliver, Jack and Alfie were proud.
03:56But no thanks to you two! she said to Monty and Max.
03:59You'll return to the yard immediately.
04:02Max and Monty were ashamed.
04:05They knew they were in trouble.
04:08Later, Thomas was taking Alfie to the lightning tree.
04:12Thomas was taking Alfie and Jack back to Miss Jenny's.
04:17Look! cried Alfie.
