00:23Fans of the band Queens of the Stone Age faced some difficult news last week when the band

00:29announced that all of their concerts scheduled for 2024 would be cancelled or postponed to

00:352025 due to frontman Josh Holmes' health.

00:39The news was shared on the band's official social media with a statement on Instagram

00:44saying

00:45QOTSA regret to announce the cancellation and tore postponement of all remaining 2024

00:52shows.

00:53Josh has been given no choice but to prioritise his health and to receive essential medical

00:59care through the remainder of the year.

01:01Josh and the QOTSA family are so thankful for your support and the time we were able

01:07to spend together over the last year," the statement went on.

01:11Hope to see you all again in 2025.

01:14The post also listed the various cancelled and postponed performances, with concerts

01:20in Boston, Cincinnati, Chicago and Madison all postponed while the remaining 2024 concerts

01:28were cancelled.

01:29Fans were sad that there would be no more concerts this year, but were supportive of

01:34Orm and his health, with one writing,

01:36There will always be music and tour.

01:48You'll be ready when you're ready, wrote another loyal fan, while many more shared

01:52well wishes and hopes that Orm recovers soon.

01:56The latest news comes after an initial announcement at the start of July that the band couldn't

02:01perform at the Armagh Music Festival in Italy due to illness.

02:05A few days later, Queens of the Stone Age shared the update that Orm must return to

02:11the United States immediately for emergency surgery.

02:15Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option

02:19to continue, they added, cancelling the rest of the band's July shows.

02:24At the end of the month, QOTSA posted another update stating that it is under doctor's orders

02:31that Josh Orm remain in their care in the United States, before cancelling all August

02:37festival appearances.

02:38This then led to the band's most recent announcement about the rest of the year.

02:44QOTSA hasn't shared any details about Orm's current health struggles, but the singer was

02:49diagnosed with cancer in 2022.

02:53In the summer of 2023, he revealed to Revolver that surgery to remove it was successful,

03:00though he's still healing.

03:01It's unclear if the current situation is related in any way.
