00:00Solar power is great.
00:05It's literally limitless free energy that rains down from the sky, but it's reserved
00:08for powering things like our homes, right?
00:10Well, not if this Indian automobile tech startup has anything to say about it.
00:14This is EVA, the new solar-powered car from Vave Mobility.
00:17They say it's India's first solar-powered electric vehicle, featuring solar units on
00:21the top of the car.
00:23And while it might only be a two-seater, it more than makes up for it with its ability
00:26to travel without a charging station.
00:28From just solar power alone, the car can travel 6.2 miles every day, which might not
00:33seem like much, but it adds up.
00:35If you account for the whole year, that's 1,864 miles annually, no small feat considering
00:40how much gas money that would save.
00:42And the company says, at least for those living in India, that's about a third of their total
00:46travel in a year.
00:47And it's great for anyone who has ever had to wait in line to charge their electric vehicle,
00:50as while EVs are better for the environment, they still take time to charge at the plug.
