00:00I'm a big Laker fan whole life, but right now this current version of the Lakers is
00:07just disgusting to me, but it is what it is. One of the reasons LeBron James has completely
00:13taken over this organization from top to bottom. He is the general manager. He's the president.
00:16He's the owner. I'm surprised it's not called LeBron James arena yet. But one of the things
00:22they did this summer that I found disgusting and nauseating was that the Lakers drafted
00:27Bronny James and then they gave him a four year guaranteed contract. And that's LeBron
00:31James's son. Breaking news. If you guys didn't know that Bronny will be teammates with his
00:37dad, but LeBron, who is currently in London promoting his podcast said, ain't no way Bronny
00:45can call me dad. Here's what he said.
00:47You cannot call me dad in the workplace. Once we, once we leave out of the private facility
00:52and the gates close, I can be dad again in the car. If we ride together at home, I could
00:57be dad. No, he got to call me like two, three or Bron or, you know, go if he wants to. It's
01:06up to him. I mean, it's up to him. But it's easy for me. It's easy because it's easy for
01:12me because I've been calling him Bronny for so long. It's not like I've been calling,
01:15Hey son, Hey son. Like, so it's easy for me. It's going to be the adjustment for him, but
01:19he can not, we can not be running down the court and he'd be like, dad.
01:27Yeah. So that's going to be an interesting dynamic, especially if you're in the locker
01:30room. Like that's going to be weird as hell. Don't you think it's gonna be weird? Like
01:33just in just a general thing, like Bronny gets to be a professional basketball player
01:39traveling with the Los Angeles lake. You know, we're talking about being single in San Diego,
01:44you know, being a Los Angeles Laker on the road, but then it's his dad is his teammate.
01:50That's going to be weird. Hey bro. Listen, this is a, nothing could affect the James
01:57household more than your son going on a road with you on an NBA road trip. So if anything,
02:07Bronny will spend most of his time in the G league. If this is done on the up and up,
02:10I get you drafted him and the pay cut that Bron took, you gave it to Bronny. I totally
02:15get it. I understand. He basically paid for us to be able to take my respect that Bron
02:19shout out to you. Bronny has spent most of his time in a G league. He shouldn't be out
02:23here running around, not getting minutes. He needs to develop. And then the place for
02:27him to develop is the G league. Yes, he should. I don't have the team. Yes. He should do preseason
02:32with the team. All that 100% when it comes time for the games to count and for the Lakers
02:39to be actually out there trying to play towards a championship, he should be developing in
02:44a G league and it's no disrespect to him. I'm the developmental player. I'm clueless
02:50on this. He didn't sign a two-way contract. He signed a guaranteed roster spot. Can he
02:54play in the G league? Yes, he can. Just because you have a two-way contract, just because
02:59you have a guaranteed contract, it doesn't mean that you cannot go down to the G league.
03:04All these contracts have provisions in them. Let's say if you get hurt and you need to
03:08get some games in, you can go down to the G league. Let's say if you're not playing,
03:12like if you're a first, there are many first round picks the last couple of years, foreign
03:16guys who come over with late first round picks that didn't play. They went into the G league
03:20to get some time because you, you need repetition. You need active reps. You need to be playing
03:26to develop. So therefore that's where he should be.
