The 2024 Paris Paralympics kicked off on Wednesday night, with over 4,000 athletes parading through the city center for the opening ceremony.

00:00The 2024 Paralympic Games have kicked off with a dazzling opening ceremony in Paris.
00:05Tens of thousands of spectators watched a parade of 168 teams as it made its way through the city's center.
00:13This year, over 4,000 athletes with physical or intellectual impairments will compete in 22 sports over 11 days.
00:21Thirteen athletes from Taiwan competing under the name Chinese Taipei are among them.
00:26They'll be competing in sports such as table tennis, badminton, taekwondo, and powerlifting.
