00:00You guys seen the meme of Seinfeld when George Costanza said it's soup season.
00:18I gotta get ready or whatever the line is.
00:21That's Mark Zinno right now as we get ready for college football.
00:25It's mouth in the south season.
00:27Zinno, let's start with the SEC title odds.
00:31A realigned conference with the additions of Oklahoma and Texas, and the Longhorns have
00:36the second best price at plus 370 to win a conference crown.
00:41Georgia, the preseason favorite at plus 180.
00:44A new era in Tuscaloosa at Alabama under Kalen DeBoer, no longer Nick Saban, but a 5-1 price
00:50on the Crimson Tide.
00:52You are optimistic about LSU.
00:55Where else would you look in the conference for a bet?
00:59I mean, again, it's hard to turn away from Texas at this point in time, but their schedule
01:05does give you a little bit of pause for concern just from the standpoint of, you know, facing
01:11Georgia and having to go to A&M, you know, but I think other than that, they have a very
01:18favorable schedule from the standpoint of Michigan.
01:21I don't think it'll be as tough as many people give credit for.
01:23It's going to be a great matchup to watch in week two, but clearly they're taking a
01:27little bit of a step back.
01:28So Texas would be where I would look first when it comes to the odds.
01:33And again, what have I said for the last couple of years, even when Nick Saban was there,
01:37like Alabama at that price almost feels like an auto bet just because you never see Alabama
01:43at this price.
01:45They still have what I think at this point in time might be the most complete, you know,
01:51team overall in the SEC.
01:53And Jalen Milrow is another guy, he might be better than Carson Beck, at least for my
01:58money.
01:59We'll see.
02:00I think if he takes another step forward, that could be something that we're talking
02:02about come the middle of the season.
02:04But those are the teams that I'm looking at, Alabama and Texas, LSU, Georgia.
02:10I just have a hard time believing they're going to escape the schedule without at least
02:14two losses.
02:15I really genuinely do.
02:17It's just they haven't had to play this level of the schedule in a long time.
02:22And I don't know if they have the horses in the barn, given what they lost last year to
02:26do it.
