00:00Another successful smuggling of agricultural products to the country
00:05was stopped by the Bureau of Customs and the Department of Agriculture.
00:10According to the BOC, confiscated from the Manila International Container Port
00:15are 3,000 or 200 cartons of fresh oranges from Thailand
00:20that are worth more than 8 million pesos.
00:24It is well known that the confiscated fruits do not have a mandatory sanitary and phytosanitary import clearance.
00:32They were destroyed as a result of violation of the DA Department Order No. 9
00:38so that they will not reach their families
00:43and they will not be safe from possible diseases.
00:47According to the BOC, they will be more strict in their surveillance
00:52against smugglers entering the country.
