00:00It's been a year since I said I do.
00:07I now know what I want from a man.
00:13This story is far from over.
00:15I'll be forever grateful for this journey.
00:18Love is bland.
00:19You hooked me up.
00:20Seeing her again is going to bring back so many feelings.
00:27Being rejected was my biggest fear.
00:32I wanted to get married.
00:33I wanted to be a wife.
00:36It's my time to speak my truth.
00:38I want to protect the people I love.
00:46Guess who's back?
00:48Get your popcorn ready, because it's about to go down.
00:52Hello and welcome to Love is Blind UK, The Reunion.
00:53All right, Matt, I've got a question for you.
00:54Let's do this.
00:55Let's do this seriously.
01:19Do you take these six couples to be the season one Love is Blind UK cast?
01:26I do.
01:28Do you want to honor them, to comfort them, and to question them?
01:33I do.
01:34Do you want to welcome them back?
01:35I do.
01:36It's so good to see you all again.
01:59It's really strange, isn't it?
02:00A whole year has passed.
02:03You all look great.
02:04Yeah, you do.
02:05It's good to see you guys.
02:06Yeah, you do.
02:07And you all look kind of happy.
02:08What's about to happen?
02:09We've got your friends and family in the audience.
02:10And we have some of the pod squad.
02:11Thank you very much for coming as well.
02:12So we're about to lift the veil on the good, the bad, and the ugly.
02:13Because some of you are looking very, very loved up.
02:14Yeah.
02:15But some of you are a little bit less so.
02:39Sabrina and Stephen, we're very sorry to see that you're sitting apart, and I'm sure we're
02:42going to get to that very soon.
02:44And I think there's been a little bit of confusion with invites, because we seem to have Craig
02:47David with us.
02:48Not Ollie.
02:49One more doodle of that, and I'm walking away.
02:50Bring the fire, bring the fire.
02:51Yes, Ollie!
02:52I love that already.
02:53Ladies and gentlemen, Demi and Ollie.
02:54Right, OK, you are quite obviously sitting separately.
02:55So let's get straight into it.
03:15The wedding was an I do not for now.
03:19So where is the relationship at?
03:23I think...
03:24Can I go first?
03:26I think for me, in that moment, like I was holding on to, like, it's a I do not for now.
03:31But walking away from it was like, Ollie's a good guy, but he's not my guy.
03:35So yeah, that's where we're at.
03:37OK, let's rewind.
03:38What happened straight after you left the wedding?
03:43I just wanted to get back to the things that really brought me joy.
03:46I'm not saying Ollie didn't bring me joy, but like, when you're taken away from the
03:50people that mean the most to you, you really start to understand the value they have in
03:55your life and they hold.
03:56So after the experiment, I was like, right, Mum and Dad, I'm moving back in.
03:59You're not getting rid of me for a little while, while I, like, find myself.
04:03And I feel like some of the things that I've seen in Corfu and stuff, I don't recognise
04:06that person.
04:08And I was a shell of myself.
04:10And no-one can give me validation other than myself.
04:13And I really had to go and work on that, and I have worked on that.
04:16I mean, I turned up today, I've got my good old heels and my good dress, and I honestly
04:19feel like Demi 2.0.
04:22And that's a credit to everyone here.
04:24Yes!
04:28And Ollie, what was it like for you on the wedding day?
04:33I mean, we had had conversations leading up to that day that kind of made us both feel
04:39that it probably wasn't our time.
04:41That doesn't say anything about the love we have for each other or had for each other,
04:44or the respect and adoration we had for each other.
04:46It was just, it wasn't our time.
04:47And, you know, so it was the right thing for us.
04:51So you're kind of both at peace with what happened on the day?
04:54Yeah.
04:55It's a hard watch, though.
04:56Yeah.
04:57Oh, yeah.
04:58It's a hard watch.
04:59It's a hard watch for us.
05:00You know, Ollie, you seem to really fall hard for each other, you know.
05:03And Demi made a really big gesture on your birthday, and that seemed to really affect
05:07you, right?
05:08I think what touched me so much about that day was the fact that I'm a big family man,
05:12as everyone knows.
05:13And obviously, being away from family in a strange environment with these idiots, I was
05:17like, I felt, you know, out of sorts on my birthday.
05:20And that kind of almost sounds weird, but brought me back to home, like having that
05:23kind of sentimental touch.
05:24It was like the first time that I didn't miss my family in that environment, if that makes
05:28sense.
05:29Oh, that's so lovely.
05:30Have you kept the card?
05:31Of course.
05:32Yes.
05:33Of course.
05:34Come on, now.
05:35Back first.
05:36You were both really good at being vulnerable with each other.
05:41And Demi, you opened up about endometriosis.
05:46How was it hearing Ollie's reaction?
05:48Do you know, watching that back, I get so emotional, but it's so empowering.
05:52It's so important.
05:54And I was so apprehensive about saying that on TV.
05:57And to be received with love and feel safe, honestly, unmatched.
06:04And yeah, watching that scene back was powerful.
06:05So all my endo warriors, yeah, we got this, man.
06:09It was powerful.
06:10And you have had an incredible amount of praise on social media.
06:15How have you found the support and the reaction?
06:17I was really, like, sort of overwhelmed.
06:19But, like, these are good tears, like, to be received and feel loved, it's great.
06:25It's amazing.
06:26CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
06:33Even though your connection in the past was strong,
06:36Catherine was also still in the picture.
06:38Now, Demi, you were not going down without a fight, though, were you?
06:41No.
06:42Let's have a little look.
06:43I really like Ollie.
06:44Catherine really likes Ollie.
06:47She's my friend. I really like her.
06:49But I want Ollie, so...
06:55I find it very hard to put myself first,
06:57cos I'm people pleaser, and it sucks.
07:00I'm not here to hurt my friends,
07:02but I'm also not here to sacrifice my connection,
07:06because my friend likes him.
07:08It's time for me to put myself first.
07:10Otherwise, I will end up at home, on my own, with ten cats.
07:14And I don't even like cats.
07:18I mean, Catherine, at that point, how much did you know that Demi liked Ollie?
07:26Not much.
07:27I mean, I'm an open book, so I was like...
07:29I like...
07:30And Demi was very...
07:31Kept her cards close to her chest, which I respect,
07:34and everyone dealt with their journeys completely differently,
07:37so I didn't know...
07:40I didn't know.
07:41Ollie never vocalised it in the pod.
07:43He obviously said there was other connections,
07:45but I never knew who.
07:46Ollie, did you realise how much Demi liked you?
07:49Could you feel it through the wall?
07:51Yeah.
07:53But I wanted to...
07:54At the end of the day, the purpose of this experiment
07:57is you're going and then you're dating various people.
07:59There's no shying away from that.
08:01I wanted to keep it very open and honest
08:03that with both of them, I still had enough connection
08:05that I was still open to,
08:06but ultimately, my head and my heart led me to Demi.
08:09This is something that's been bothering me a little bit
08:11that I've been seeing online,
08:12this scenario of, like,
08:13oh, Ollie's not going to be attracted to Demi,
08:15he's going to choose his other option, this, that and the other.
08:17And it's been really frustrating me
08:18because anyone that knows me, anyone that knows my dating history
08:21knows that I've always dated women that look like Demi
08:24and, respectfully, that don't look like Kat.
08:27And sometimes they're projecting their ideal
08:29of what the default setting of beauty is
08:31and assuming that's what I go for.
08:32And that's no disrespect to Kat, right?
08:34Not at all.
08:35I'm able to acknowledge she's a pretty girl, but she's...
08:38I don't think it's disrespectful.
08:40What I find disrespectful is when you...
08:42..you judged me very quickly in them pods
08:45because I said one place where I like to...
08:48That was a joke thing.
08:49I don't understand what you're getting at about that.
08:51Sorry, pause, pause.
08:52My voice has been mute for so long
08:54and I was trying to keep it muted.
08:56But can we just... Let's just go back.
08:58That wasn't rude what you just said.
09:00You're a stunning girl, Katherine, honestly.
09:02Like, it's beautiful.
09:04But what really left a distaste in my mouth
09:06was that we're claiming to be friends,
09:08but, yeah, even though you haven't seen
09:10what Oli physically looks like... Exactly.
09:12..do I think Demi and Oli are going to work on the outside world?
09:15No. My mum's going to get me into trouble.
09:17Because when I was in the pods,
09:19I kept saying to Oli, where's your head at?
09:21Yeah. And he kept saying to me, I don't know, I don't know.
09:24That shouldn't concern you, where his head's at.
09:26Just focus on your connection, I'll focus on mine.
09:28Listen, I liked you a lot, yeah, at the start.
09:30When I saw that, it left a distaste in my mouth.
09:32And to be honest with you, I don't want no bad blood.
09:35At the end of the day, we are all human beings
09:37and we put ourselves in a really vulnerable position being on here,
09:40but I feel like accountability and authenticity will go a long way.
09:44And if it was just the case of, you know what, Dem,
09:46that was a bit out of character, sorry.
09:48Cool, we move on. Honestly, I apologise if that was...
09:51Thank you. ..said in a really bad way.
09:53I'm really bad, if anyone knows me, I'm really bad with my words.
09:56I just wanted you to be happy,
09:58but I think the way I said that was really the wrong words
10:02and it was nothing against yourself.
10:05If you did have any, you know, kind of malintent towards it,
10:08why would you say, my mouth is going to get me in trouble?
10:10That's what I'm saying. You would say specifically...
10:12That's what you said when you were saying something nasty.
10:14..Demi and Oli, on a, you know, on a kind of personality basis,
10:17won't get along.
10:18You were insinuating that that was because of the way she looks.
10:21And she looks amazing. Oh, it does. It definitely was not.
10:24OK, shall we draw a line on it and move on?
10:26We are going to talk about the mixer, though, Oli, sorry.
10:29He was like, what?
10:31That's where you clocked Charlotte for the first time.
10:34And you did say to Erin that, looks-wise,
10:37Charlotte is mad, berserk, sublime.
10:39So, have the two of you had any contact since?
10:44What?
10:47Don't be hiding behind that little card.
10:49Yeah, no, we have, we have.
10:52Yeah.
10:53We've...
10:55Yeah, we've... I don't know how to word it.
10:59Yeah, me and Charlotte have...
11:01..have explored our connection outside of the experiment,
11:04and, yeah, like...
11:06Yeah.
11:07And were you aware of all of this, Demi?
11:09Do you know what? I just want to add to this,
11:11is, like, I love Charlotte. Oli's not my guy, he's a good guy.
11:14Is he your guy, Charlotte?
11:15LAUGHTER
11:19Demi, do you want to swap places?
11:21LAUGHTER
11:23I'm sorry.
11:24I'm not going to tell you. No, no, no.
11:26I'm just wondering. I love it. I love it.
11:28Demi, are we getting an answer?
11:30Genuinely, I don't think I could have got through
11:32the last few weeks having to watch what I've watched
11:35without him, like, as the perfect support.
11:38And so I've got a lot of gratitude for him,
11:41and it remains complicated.
11:43But, um, yeah.
11:45It's... Yeah. We're in a good spot.
11:47We're in a good spot.
11:48No, like I say, to, yeah, just agree with that,
11:52we didn't just jump from the show to each other.
11:55We tried to handle it as respectfully as possible,
11:57but it was hard to deny the connection that we had
11:59and the attraction we had for one another,
12:01and, yeah, she's an amazing person,
12:02beautiful inside and out,
12:03and I love spending time with her and watch this space.
12:06That's what I'm saying.
12:07OK, since we're speaking about love and respect,
12:09we've got to talk about your parents and couple goals, right?
12:12OK, Demi, with your permission,
12:14it was with your permission... Yes.
12:16Oh, my Lord, can I have that?
12:18You can have it back after this.
12:19I've just got to talk about it for a second.
12:21OK.
12:22We had a little look in your pod journal,
12:24and not many people know this,
12:26but you had an image of your parents stuck to the front
12:29with the message,
12:30my beautiful mum and dad, I love you with all my heart,
12:33protect me in this crazy experience.
12:36Which...
12:37Eww!
12:38It's so beautiful.
12:40So unheartening.
12:41And, Paul, what was it like?
12:43You look shocked that I'm going to speak to you.
12:46What was it like watching Demi in the experiment?
12:49When I see Demi upset and hurt, I was also upset and hurt.
12:54Yeah.
12:55She's beautiful.
12:56She's got her power.
12:57I love her to bits.
12:58You know, she knows what I feel.
13:00Super cute.
13:01And you are a couple goals,
13:02and thank you so much for being here today.
13:04Thanks.
13:05APPLAUSE
13:08I mean...
13:10Do you want this back?
13:11There we go.
13:12That's yours.
13:13Right, OK.
13:14Ladies and gentlemen, Demi and Ollie.
13:16APPLAUSE
13:21So, Sabrina and Stephen,
13:23it's so sad to see you sitting apart,
13:26because right from the off, hopefully everybody would agree,
13:29like, you seemed like the perfect couple,
13:33and everything just seemed to make so much sense.
13:36What happened?
13:38You know, there was so much I fell in love with about Stephen,
13:42and one of the big things in the pods that really drew me to him
13:46was when I said I quit my job, how he reacted to that.
13:50He was like, I can't wait to support you,
13:52and I said I wanted to start my own agency,
13:54but the support wasn't there then.
13:56We had agreed that we were going to split our time
13:58between Belfast and London for the first year,
14:00so that left us in a position that we were doing long distance,
14:03which was not the plan from the word go,
14:06but the communication was awful,
14:08there was no consistency in Stephen's behaviour
14:11towards me and the relationship.
14:13So, Stephen, what's your view?
14:15So, it primarily was the long distance,
14:17what we underestimated,
14:20the added pressure of what the long distance would cause.
14:23We both left our jobs to find out that's why I fell for Sabrina.
14:27Sabrina started her own company and took off, and it was brilliant.
14:30We'd just lost our spa.
14:32Our communication expectations of each other were very different.
14:35We hadn't done long distance like that.
14:37Because when I found out that you were going to be sitting separately,
14:40and I found out that you were separated,
14:42I was like, it's going to be one of two things.
14:44One, it's either the distance,
14:46or the topic of children had come up again.
14:48Was that a point of thought?
14:50No, and I actually really respected Stephen in the pods for this,
14:53because me and Stephen had a really open conversation around kids.
14:56He actually said to me, I actually need to go and think about this.
14:59Like, this is, you know, I want to have kids,
15:02and this is something I need to go and, you know, think about.
15:05But with regarding to the distance, I really tried,
15:07and I'm really me at the distance.
15:09You know, I tried to make it work.
15:11How many times did you come from Belfast to London?
15:13Seven.
15:14And how many times did you go to Belfast?
15:16I can't say that for sure,
15:18but I had to take opportunities because of my business,
15:21or I lost all my customers.
15:23But it wasn't even just about travelling.
15:25It's when I travelled, you didn't make any adjustments in your life for me.
15:28So, like, when you came to Belfast, you wanted to go to the gym,
15:31so I paid for a car for you to rent a car.
15:33I don't drink tea or coffee,
15:35so I had tea and coffee and a French press for you in the house.
15:38I spent £70 on groceries. You wanted an ironing board.
15:40I bought you an ironing board to have at mine.
15:42You know, I was trying to do everything I could
15:45to make the relationship work,
15:47and I just feel like you made zero accommodations in your life for me
15:50or our relationship.
15:52It was difficult because Stephen doesn't really like talking on the phone
15:55unless there's a reason for it, and isn't a big texter.
15:58So, suddenly, when we weren't together,
16:00the communication just was not there.
16:02What was it like when you were together?
16:04When we were together, most of the time,
16:06most of the time, it was...
16:08Obviously, every couple has their issues,
16:10but most of the time when we were together, it was fine.
16:13You made no adjustments for me.
16:15That's very different from when we were spending time together.
16:18A lot of things that you're saying are not facts, right?
16:21Because the words that you're saying,
16:23I don't recognise who you are at the moment.
16:25I really don't recognise who you are.
16:27You haven't seen me in eight months.
16:29There's a lot of stuff you are saying is right,
16:31and I played a part in that.
16:33I could say I share a lot of stuff and I choose not to
16:35because out of respect for the person I thought I married.
16:38I honestly don't feel like you respected me.
16:40I don't think you appreciated me,
16:42I don't think you considered me.
16:44And I think then at Christmas,
16:46when two days before you were meant to come to Belfast,
16:48you messaged me saying,
16:50hey, hun, don't think I can come to Belfast?
16:52Like, two days before you were meant to be there.
16:54And with no respect for me,
16:56no consideration for my family and what my family had done,
16:58you literally said, shit happens, they'll get over it.
17:01Also not true.
17:03I just need to give you a bit of insight
17:05because I will take accountability
17:07that I did not show up at Christmas
17:09because I managed my finances poorly.
17:11She knows what happened in the family as well, OK?
17:13I was really, really down.
17:15We had lost our...
17:17We hadn't lost our spark right at that point, maybe,
17:19but we weren't great like we was
17:21when we was dating every single day
17:23and that sort of thing.
17:25Clearly, things are very different now
17:27to how they were in the pods.
17:29In the pods,
17:31you believe that you were very much the same person.
17:33Let's remind ourselves.
17:35So what makes you you?
17:37I'm very adventurous.
17:40I'm very spontaneous.
17:42Like it, my favourite word.
17:44Have you got my script over there?
17:46Yeah.
17:48Do you meditate?
17:50Yes, I do.
17:52I do gratitude journals.
17:54This is so weird.
17:56I feel like you've just taken my daily routine.
17:58I do a lot of gratitude journaling
18:00and practice gratitude as much as I can.
18:02I love that.
18:04Same, same.
18:06Do you wear jewellery?
18:08I have Gigi's ring on.
18:10I've got my grandad's ring on my pinky finger.
18:12So when he passed away,
18:14I think I was about eight years of age...
18:16Oh, my God, stop.
18:18It's literally been on every single finger,
18:20even my thumbs.
18:22That literally makes my heart swell.
18:24APPLAUSE
18:26OK, so, I mean,
18:28at the beginning, there was clearly so much love
18:30and you seemed to connect so heavily,
18:32you know.
18:34How does it feel watching that back now?
18:36I find the pod episodes
18:38really, really difficult to watch,
18:40really emotional.
18:42You know, I went into the experiment with an open heart,
18:44open mind to meet my person
18:46and I thought I had met my person.
18:48It was very triggering watching all of that back
18:50and seeing what it was at one point.
18:52So I found it incredibly difficult.
18:54What about you, Stephen?
18:56The first four episodes, I watched it three times
18:58and I cried every single time.
19:00It made me ask questions as to why we broke up.
19:02Do you feel like you changed?
19:05I said, you know,
19:07it looks like I'm this perfect person
19:09and I'm not a perfect person.
19:11That's why I can see where my shortcomings are.
19:13I'm not always positive but I try to get there
19:15in the end, you know,
19:17and so maybe there's this expectation.
19:19When you're dating, it's being paid for,
19:21you're in picturesque places,
19:23you're falling in love rapidly,
19:25that's the best version of you no matter what.
19:27You haven't got to worry about
19:29what time the alarm is the next day,
19:31where the next man is coming from,
19:33why your partner might be upset
19:35and is it something that you've done all...
19:37You don't have to worry about any of those things.
19:39Everything changes, that's the real world.
19:41That was the one thing we wasn't exposed to,
19:43that and the distance.
19:45So the distance then created,
19:47when there was a small problem,
19:49it can become a big problem
19:51and Sabrina's walls can go up really quickly
19:53when there is conflict
19:55and so with that distance, it became harder.
19:57For me, the change in you, Stephen,
19:59was so dramatic and you might not realise that
20:01and I did everything to try and be
20:03the perfect person, bubbly at your side
20:05and you shot me down constantly.
20:07For me, I just actually want to know why you said yes
20:09because I just feel like you're fowls,
20:11you're a man of many words
20:13but not a man of your word
20:15because you did not stick to those fowls at all
20:17and I would just like to understand...
20:19And I could say the same for yours as well.
20:21I don't mind you saying he didn't do X, Y and Z,
20:23that's fine, but half of this is lies.
20:25Shall we stop it there?
20:27Thank you both so much for being here.
20:29Put your hands together please for Stephen and Sabrina.
20:31APPLAUSE
20:37So, shall we move on to one of our ideas?
20:39Yes, let's.
20:41Let's do it. Let's talk to Jasmine
20:43and her body of a dancer star.
20:45Guys, you're looking very loved up.
20:47How's it all going?
20:49It's been amazing. Best year of my life so far.
20:51I mean, I can't speak for Jasmine
20:53but judging by her smile, she's feeling the same.
20:55Oh!
20:58What's been happening over the past year?
21:00We don't want every detail, but the headlines.
21:02Yeah, we'll keep it PG.
21:04I was living in Stoke, she was living in London
21:06but pretty much two days after we got married
21:08we were just like, let's just do it.
21:10So I moved to London, packed my stuff up,
21:12been there ever since.
21:14And Bobby and I have worked so hard to get to the place
21:16where we've got our dream home,
21:18we're so happy, every weekend he wakes up
21:20and he's like, I'm so happy.
21:22I'm just really, really grateful, really blessed.
21:24I feel like we're best friends. Yeah, we really are.
21:26That is a key ingredient, I think.
21:28We're still best mates, aren't we?
21:30We are. You're my only mate. Most of the time.
21:32It's true, we're already each other's friends.
21:34Right, we've got some never-before-seen footage
21:36of when Jasmine saw Bobby's Stoke pad.
21:42Right, here we are.
21:46Home sweet home.
21:48Welcome to the man cave.
21:50Right.
21:52This is the pool table slash dining table.
21:54This is the pool music set-up over here.
21:56OK. This is where the famous
21:58Body of a Dancer was recorded.
22:00Oh, yeah, my favourite song.
22:02Oh, wow.
22:04This is where the magic happens.
22:06How do you like the bed?
22:08Where's the pillows?
22:10Oh, they're underneath.
22:12Do you have any girls back here?
22:14Well, of course I've dated people here.
22:16Have you changed your bed sheets?
22:18I just don't want to see any stains or anything.
22:20There's no stains on the bed.
22:23OK.
22:31OK, Bobby, do you miss the pool down there?
22:33I do miss the pool down there,
22:35but we've got a comfier one at the moment,
22:37but that one was just ideal, wasn't it?
22:39A lot more spacious.
22:41I also think the pool table slash dining table combo,
22:43it's a good thing, right?
22:45Cos it's a space saver.
22:47Exactly. You can eat when you need to eat.
22:49When you need to have fun, you can have fun.
22:51Leisure slash entertainment.
22:53Love it.
22:55You were actually each other's first dates in the pod, weren't you?
22:57Yeah.
22:59So did Jasmine set that bar pretty high from the off?
23:01Definitely.
23:03I was already certain even after date one
23:05that that was the kind of woman that I'd like to spend
23:07the rest of my life with.
23:09So, you know, for me, it was always Jasmine.
23:11Jasmine, you admitted that Bobby was not necessarily
23:13your usual type, right?
23:15Has being with him changed your view on what makes a good partner?
23:17I feel like the reason why I went on to this show
23:19was to take away the surface-level ideas
23:21that we have and to go for someone
23:23who I truly connect with on a deep level
23:25who's going to love me and make me feel safe.
23:27And, um, here he is.
23:29Ah!
23:31APPLAUSE
23:33CHEERING
23:35OK, um, guys, time to take an exclusive look
23:37at your first year of marriage together.
23:39Shall we have a look?
23:41Bobby's proposing again.
23:43Hey, I'm not here. It's embarrassing.
23:45Chelsea Bridge. Our first bridge together.
23:47Jasmine's up. First swing.
23:49All right, let's see what Bobby can do.
23:51SHE LAUGHS
23:53Boobie Johnson. Is that a joke?
23:55Even though I told him how to spell my name.
23:57SHE LAUGHS
23:59It's going to be a fun Christmas.
24:01That's so nice!
24:03Of all the things, I was, like, defensive.
24:05Yeah. There we go.
24:07First Valentine's together.
24:09SHE GASPS
24:11I can't believe it!
24:14I can't believe it!
24:16This is an expensive card.
24:18Oh, I should have had the bright side.
24:20Oh, no. Schoolboy error.
24:22Here we are.
24:24Welcome to our new home.
24:26He's struggling, obviously.
24:28I've been carrying boxes all day.
24:30But I've always got strength to carry my wife.
24:32Are you happy, Jasmine?
24:34Yes, I'm very happy.
24:36My wife's happy and I'm happy.
24:38Good.
24:40CHEERING
24:46Jasmine and Boobie.
24:48What a lovely pair.
24:50LAUGHTER
24:52Now, you clearly have a lot of fun together,
24:54but you did warn Bobby
24:56that you have a jealous side
24:58and that you have insecurities
25:00with regards to social media.
25:02And Bobby said that it's up to him
25:04to reassure you.
25:06So do you feel like he's done that?
25:08As much as Bobby is there to reassure me,
25:10I also need to take accountability
25:12for myself to do the work.
25:14We're very open with one another.
25:16We're not afraid to have difficult conversations.
25:18And that's what I love about this relationship.
25:20You know, it's not judgmental.
25:22And he accepts me for who I am.
25:24Right, Bobby, be honest.
25:26Since you've first tied the knot,
25:28has firecracker Jasmine come out at any point?
25:30Oh, yeah.
25:32LAUGHTER
25:34The good thing is, you know,
25:36I've got to see all sides of Jasmine.
25:38I wasn't lucky enough to see that side of her,
25:40you know, but when I did,
25:42it actually made me even more attracted to her,
25:44made me love her even more.
25:46I love that side of you, Jasmine.
25:48I do, too.
25:50I really do.
25:52And I think we got a little glimpse
25:54of where that side of you comes from
25:56because we met your wonderful mum, Marissa.
25:58Hi.
26:00Who's here with us this evening.
26:02Now, Bobby, we've got to talk to you about Marissa
26:04because there was a point where she said,
26:07you weren't going to be able to provide for Jasmine.
26:09How hard was that for you to hear?
26:11Marissa didn't really know me,
26:13and I guess she was just worried for Jasmine,
26:15you know, maybe overprotective.
26:17I think, in my case,
26:19it did add a bit of extra pressure,
26:21but I think in a good way, almost,
26:23because it meant that I knew I had to show up, you know?
26:25And, Jasmine, you didn't really get your mum's approval
26:27for the wedding.
26:29Was that hard, considering we could obviously see
26:31how close you two were?
26:33I mean, I love my mum,
26:35but I have to be honest with myself
26:37and I knew in my gut that I was making the right decision,
26:39despite doubts around me.
26:41Of course, there's always going to be doubts,
26:43but if we kind of follow through with doubts
26:45every single time,
26:47we could miss out on something so perfect and special.
26:49And I could have missed out,
26:51so I'm glad I went with my heart,
26:53you know, made the right decision.
26:55Marissa, does he get your seal of approval now?
26:57110%.
26:59Yay!
27:01APPLAUSE
27:03Not just 100%,
27:05but 110%.
27:07Yes, Bobby.
27:09It's always good to have the mother-in-law on side, isn't it?
27:11Absolutely.
27:13So, what does the future look like for you two?
27:15Well, I think,
27:17definitely planning on having kids,
27:19something we're working on as we speak.
27:21LAUGHTER
27:23I thought you were keeping a PG, Bobby!
27:25APPLAUSE
27:27Next year, you might see some little mini Johnsons running around.
27:29Oh, yes! Love is blind babies.
27:32Please put your hands together
27:34for the wonderful Bobby and Jasmine.
27:36APPLAUSE
27:44OK, next up, it's time to chat to Maria
27:46and her ultrasound guy,
27:48who love the one-liner.
27:50And a little bit of lip liner.
27:52We fell in love with your connection,
27:54your humour, your vulnerability,
27:56and that, can we just say, iconic lipstick kiss?
27:58It was a goodie.
28:00It was pretty good, wasn't it?
28:02So, we need to know, guys, where are things now?
28:04So, obviously, post-wedding,
28:06it was a pretty emotional day
28:08for both of us, really.
28:10Her and I both knew
28:12that there were some big differences
28:14in our relationship, which probably meant
28:16longer term, it was going to be very difficult to make it work.
28:18So, we decided to part ways.
28:20Tom, we saw you say no at the altar
28:22because of your differences in values.
28:24Maria, do you...
28:26Do you still think that was the right decision?
28:28I think, in terms of what he said
28:30in regards to raising
28:32kids, it felt
28:34like he was indirectly
28:36insulting my family.
28:38When it comes to raising my kids, I want to replicate
28:40what my mother has done, because she's
28:42raised kind kids, confident
28:44kids, kids who
28:46treat people based on how you treat them,
28:48not their job title,
28:50not the car they drive, not the house they live in,
28:52how they make you feel.
28:54So, I'm always going to choose to raise
28:56my kids this way.
28:58Do you think that maybe, given more time,
29:00you could have had more chats about values
29:02and maybe understood each other a bit more?
29:04I've got to say, having watched
29:06the episodes back, there were a couple of
29:08moments in that which
29:10I kind of looked at and thought, wow, that was
29:12like, it was ugly behaviour
29:14from me. That was something
29:16which I've had some real time to reflect
29:18on. During your vows,
29:20Maria, you thanked Tom for showing you
29:22a different version of strength.
29:25What do you mean by that? I still stand by that
29:27when it comes to Tom. He was very emotional
29:29and he did definitely show, you know, that
29:31there's nothing wrong with being an emotional person.
29:33It's okay to show that side to the world as well.
29:35Tom, was it important for you to show
29:37that side, that men can be
29:39emotionally open? You know, the way
29:41that I was raised, I was raised by my mum.
29:43I've never really had a masculine
29:45role model in my life.
29:47So, that comes with a lot of negatives
29:49which I think actually came out a lot
29:51in our relationship, but
29:53maybe some positives as well.
29:55My main kind of outtake from this whole
29:57experience was like, it really shone
29:59a light on my own flaws.
30:01On the morning of the wedding, we saw Maria's mum
30:03come to Tom and give
30:05her blessing. How tough was that?
30:07Please watch. Watching it back
30:09made me angry, again
30:11because of his comment afterwards about
30:13I want to raise strong, independent
30:15daughters. It just
30:17made my blood boil. You met her children,
30:19you see the type of women we are
30:21and so it just made me mad to see
30:23how sweet she was and how welcoming
30:25she was for him to then
30:27still go on and indirectly insult
30:29the women in my life.
30:31Is there anything you'd like to say?
30:33I feel like
30:35they were incredible in
30:37terms of allowing me to
30:39learn about myself and so I guess
30:41thank you. And then
30:43also, you know, like I say, I wish that
30:45at times I'd treated their daughter
30:47a bit better.
30:49We must address that there
30:51was another connection that was formed in the pods.
30:53Yes, let's take a look.
30:55Hello, are you okay? I'm good.
30:57Who am I speaking to? It's Natasha.
30:59I'm Tom. Hi Tom.
31:01How do you feel about marriage? Marriage
31:03to me is a lifelong
31:05commitment to someone. Being in a marriage
31:07you need to show every part of yourself
31:09to that person. Yeah.
31:11Sorry, I don't know why I'm getting upset.
31:13You're just really lovely to talk to.
31:15Oh man, now I'm
31:17feeling upset.
31:21What do your friends call you?
31:23Tash. Can I call you Tash?
31:25Of course you can. We're on Tash level.
31:27Oh my god!
31:31Carbonara is my absolute ultimate favourite meal.
31:33Yeah. I like to have it with
31:35a side of cheesy garlic bread and some fries.
31:37What?
31:39I feel like my words just imploded.
31:43She's got the most
31:45goofy laugh that I've ever had in my life
31:47and it didn't make me recoil in horror,
31:49it made me feel really, really close to her.
31:51The words that I've written down for you
31:53have got genuine, authentic,
31:55sensitive, amazing
31:57goofy laugh at the end.
32:01I've never felt like
32:03this connection with anyone.
32:05Everything about you is perfect
32:07and who you are
32:09where I can just feel how good you are
32:11but
32:13it could just be a friendship.
32:21I don't know Tom.
32:23It's just crazy because it's like unexplainable
32:25like how you make me feel and you're like
32:27literally behind a wall.
32:29So sorry. I just don't think
32:31our story ends here but...
32:39So Tash,
32:41in an alternate universe
32:43where do you think you two would have ended up?
32:45It's really hard to talk about now
32:47because obviously like we're a year
32:49down
32:51and obviously every single thing
32:53like I felt in that pod seat was just
32:55mad. I've never felt it before like
32:57the room felt still like I was completely
32:59in love with him
33:01but having watched the series
33:03back and seeing his
33:05connection form with Maria
33:07I totally get it. It's been
33:09quite good to have that clarity
33:11and that closure for myself to be able
33:13to like move on and see and
33:15understand how and why they connected.
33:17I get it.
33:19Tom, have you had any contact with Tash
33:21since she left?
33:23Maybe a week ago that I reached
33:25out and I found that
33:27mixer situation quite hard to deal with
33:29and I wasn't really sure what the right thing to do
33:31was because I knew that my priority
33:33had to be my fiancé.
33:35Obviously Tash and I had a really really strong
33:37bond and I just wanted
33:39to make sure that firstly we were cool and obviously
33:41I knew that we were going to be seeing each other today and
33:43we've exchanged a few messages
33:45and Tash as always has been
33:47incredible and very empathetic
33:49about everything. Shall we have a little look
33:51at that mixer moment?
33:53Genuinely like
33:57and then like I'm not someone that can like just
33:59that's it so
34:01yeah
34:04Genuinely really
34:06I mean I know I told you that like
34:08I meant that when I said it.
34:13So there seems to have been a little bit
34:15of confusion in this whole
34:17situation. Tash, can you just
34:19set the record straight?
34:21Were you talking about the
34:23L word in present tense
34:25or in the past pod tense?
34:27Yeah. It kind of looked like
34:29you had thought Tom
34:31that she had said it
34:33in the present tense. Do you know what I mean?
34:35And you were like
34:37what? She said that she loved you.
34:39Yeah because I love you.
34:41You know I love you. There's no problem.
34:43So we just wanted to make sure all of that was clarified.
34:45Yeah. I honestly
34:47didn't firstly mean to drop Tash
34:49and secondly create any
34:51tension between the two of them.
34:53There doesn't seem like there's tension.
34:55No. I love Tash. This is where the tension is.
34:57There's no tension there.
35:00I'm pleased for a bit of lack of tension.
35:05I'm so sad about you two.
35:07You just seemed like such a fantastic
35:09couple. The minute
35:11you met each other it was like
35:13for us, well for me watching it was like electricity.
35:15Like the two of you together
35:17you just couldn't keep your hands off each other
35:19and you clearly couldn't keep your lips off each other.
35:21You've got a red lip today as well.
35:23It's in honour of Tom and Maria.
35:25That's why I did it. How did you
35:27feel when you saw each other?
35:29Probably relieved. You know because I did
35:31at the time I thought yeah handsome, tall
35:33like not a gremlin so like I'm
35:35good to go.
35:37Is that still you? No.
35:39Gremlins come back into me.
35:41So
35:43at the time yeah I was like very happy
35:45very content.
35:47Since we're on the subject of makeup
35:49Tom we all kind of know that you can be
35:51how do I say it? Slightly
35:53judgmental at times. Yeah. Slightly.
35:55I saw that with a comment you made
35:57about Maria's job. Do you think you helped
35:59him grow out of that judging mindset at all?
36:01I would like to think so.
36:03I'd like to hope so. I mean we
36:05had this conversation in depth
36:07I hope that meeting my family helped him
36:09be less judgmental but
36:11I think it has to come from within really
36:13not someone else. Tom do you feel like she
36:15helped you? I've done a lot of work to
36:17try and understand myself but there's a
36:19very big difference between being aware
36:21of your own flaws and actually being able to
36:23like a change in behaviour
36:25even when we were talking about splitting
36:27bills and that kind of thing like I had a certain
36:29view of that and Maria's view was different and it's okay
36:31that those views are
36:33different. Yeah and I just want to say about the whole
36:35splitting bills thing because I feel like it was completely
36:37taken out of context. Never once did I expect to
36:39pay my bills, finance my life,
36:41buy me luxury. I just want to set
36:43that straight. I never once said that, thought
36:45that or wanted that in my life.
36:47How do you feel about each other now?
36:49LAUGHTER
36:51Is there anything
36:53positive?
36:55LAUGHTER
36:57Is there anything
36:59about the relationship in a positive way
37:01that you miss? Yeah we had good times.
37:03Oh Maria!
37:05LAUGHTER
37:07We had fun, there was funny
37:09times. Are you still friends?
37:11We're okay.
37:13LAUGHTER
37:15Tell them Maria.
37:17APPLAUSE
37:19Okay, while we close
37:21the chapter on one love story, it's time to
37:23find out if our next couple is still
37:25on the same page.
37:27Benia and Nicole. Please!
37:29APPLAUSE
37:31Update us.
37:33What's going on?
37:35Well first of all I want to say that Nicole
37:37looks absolutely beautiful today.
37:39CHEERING
37:41Especially her eyes.
37:43LAUGHTER
37:45Her eyes are beautiful.
37:47They're not boring brown, is it?
37:49They're not boring brown.
37:51But no, yeah, we're good. Living together,
37:53moving together. I'm doing my best to hippie fire
37:55as much as I can.
37:57And, you know, I love her more
37:59each day. She's unbelievable for me.
38:01She's had a great impact on me
38:03in terms of who I am as a person,
38:05self-growth. So yeah,
38:07I'm very appreciative.
38:09I feel like a queen!
38:11LAUGHTER
38:13Nicole, I am
38:15desperate to know,
38:17can you now pronounce your surname?
38:19LAUGHTER
38:21Yes, yes. Grindelwald-Bridey.
38:23Yay!
38:25APPLAUSE
38:29For sure it's Mrs GB.
38:31GB.
38:33It's really good!
38:35Oh my God! That's the first time
38:37I've said it right. I'm super pleased with myself.
38:39Right, it's time for
38:41an exclusive look at your first
38:43marriage.
38:45Me and my wife just chilling here, having a nice little walk.
38:47LAUGHTER
38:51Guess what it is?
38:53He's got it in this!
38:55LAUGHTER
38:59Reporting live from...
39:01Marrakech! This is the best drive I've ever seen
39:03from you.
39:05Mrs Halle, Baba.
39:07LAUGHTER
39:09So that's hard!
39:11LAUGHTER
39:13Tell me to give in.
39:15You have to lick your leg. He's not the only one.
39:17LAUGHTER
39:19Happy Christmas Eve.
39:21Whoa! That's you?
39:23LAUGHTER
39:25Do you like my nails?
39:27Ready?
39:29You're so handsome!
39:31Cheers.
39:33To my beautiful wife.
39:35To my extraordinary husband.
39:37Hi, honey!
39:39Love you.
39:41Love you too.
39:43CHEERING
39:49Aw!
39:51It's nice, right?
39:53It's weird, isn't it, right, that it's been a whole year
39:55and I'm like, oh, they hit Christmas together!
39:57It's so super cute.
39:59Can you imagine how it would have gone in our marriage
40:01if I jumped out at you like that? We wouldn't still be married.
40:03LAUGHTER
40:05Amongst that,
40:07what else has marriage life taught you about each other?
40:09One thing I have learned about Nicole
40:11is that you can put her
40:13in almost any high-pressure situation.
40:15She'll never change from who she is as a person,
40:17like this pure, good-hearted,
40:19trusting, innocent woman.
40:21That's been the most impressive thing
40:23that I've seen coming away from this.
40:25Well, to celebrate your love for each other,
40:27we want to treat you to some unseen footage.
40:29Here are your reactions to your first pod date
40:31the moment that date ended.
40:33No!
40:35Wait, can we talk again?
40:37Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
40:39Yes!
40:41That is awesome.
40:45Yes, I like him.
40:49That was good.
40:51That was very good.
40:55Oh, my gosh.
40:57Wow.
40:59Wow.
41:03Oh, my shits.
41:05Oh, my shits.
41:07Oh, my shits.
41:09Oh, my shits.
41:11This is so good.
41:13This is so good.
41:15Oh, my gosh.
41:21Oh, man.
41:25Oh, my gosh.
41:27Oh, my gosh.
41:29Mate, I'm a little bit shook.
41:31I'm a little bit shook.
41:33Oh, my gosh.
41:37Mate, that was brilliant.
41:39Pretty beautiful.
41:41CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
41:47I mean,
41:49how sweet was that?
41:51Benaiah, you clearly had
41:53a very instant connection, the two of you.
41:55Do you slightly regret
41:57not making Nicole slightly more aware of this?
42:01Yeah, I mean, I think
42:03one thing I looked at it was like
42:05it was that good, it almost
42:07scared me.
42:09Is it too good to be true?
42:11Yeah, and I mean, I regret it.
42:13I regret it massively, you know,
42:15because ideally our journey would have been
42:17very smooth and playing sailing,
42:19like, you know, Bobby and Jazz, but...
42:21I do want to take ownership
42:23over something, though. I should have been more
42:25direct and I should have said, look, this is how
42:27I feel. I feel like I could see
42:29getting engaged, I could see
42:31getting married, potentially to you.
42:33How do you feel? And if I
42:35asked that, like, if I was a bit more direct,
42:37I reckon things could have been different
42:39potentially. You know, maybe.
42:41I think the onus is on me there, I think.
42:43Yeah.
42:45It's on you.
42:47It's on you, Benaiah.
42:49Oh, yeah, I should have been more aware of that situation.
42:51The reassurance that you needed actually
42:53ended up coming from someone else,
42:55so let's welcome back the boy
42:57who just wants love from
42:59a girl. It is Sam from London.
43:01APPLAUSE
43:15Hi, Sam. Hiya.
43:17Hello, mate. I think it's fair to say
43:19that you have provoked a very
43:21strong reaction from the public,
43:23right? How have the last few weeks been for you, mate?
43:25Look, it's not been easy.
43:27I have to be real.
43:29I went and, you know, well, I went to do a
43:31love show to try and find the future wife
43:33of my life, and the last
43:35few weeks of my life have not
43:37been great. It's been quite a lot
43:39of backlash and it's
43:41been a lot for anyone to handle, but
43:43I would say it's made
43:45me a lot stronger. I've learned a lot about myself.
43:47I've learned that I can handle anything
43:49now. I thought I was
43:51ready for things like love, and maybe I
43:53wasn't quite ready at the time.
43:55OK, before we talk about you and Nicole,
43:57you also had butterflies
43:59for Jasmine.
44:01There she is.
44:03Jasmine, you were unsure
44:05about his intentions, weren't you?
44:07Why was that? What gave you that
44:09feeling? It's that women's intuition
44:11that we always need to listen to,
44:13because it just did not feel right for me,
44:15and I never had that feeling
44:17with Bobby. Yeah, I mean,
44:19Sam, there's a moment that
44:21surprised people when you
44:23speculated that you
44:25would not be able to pick up Nicole.
44:27Would you like to elaborate on that right now?
44:29Yeah, absolutely. I do
44:31get nervous. I'm just a human. I say things
44:33out of nerves. I genuinely didn't mean
44:35any harm by it. You know, I know
44:37I'm not a bad person. It's just, honestly, just
44:39nervousness. Nicole,
44:41watching these comments and hearing
44:43about these comments, do you
44:45see why Benaiah felt like he had
44:47to intervene? Yes, absolutely.
44:49I mean, I just want to
44:51say thank you, babe,
44:53so much for having my back,
44:55being my third eye,
44:57and
44:59just genuinely
45:01supporting me through every single
45:03thing. Thank you so much.
45:05I love you so much.
45:09Sam, just a couple more
45:11things that were said,
45:13a couple more, that
45:15we should get some clarification on.
45:17The
45:19I think I love you bit,
45:21that was kind of something that
45:23I think quite a lot of us
45:25were like, what? Did he just say that?
45:27Did he just say that? Again, my words didn't come
45:29out right at the time, but what I was actually just trying to say was
45:31I think I'm falling in love with you.
45:33I wasn't quite there, and I think that's
45:35the process of the experiment, is that love is blind.
45:37You should be able to go from start to all
45:39the way up to the altar, so at that point
45:41in time, I couldn't stand there
45:43and say I am absolutely in love with this person,
45:45and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
45:47Our pod connection was incredible,
45:49but you could see quite clearly it was very
45:51awkward when we met each other at the reveal.
45:53At that stage of the experiment, I wasn't
45:55quite in that position to say
45:57I love someone. For me, love is a big
45:59thing. It's a very big thing.
46:01I think
46:03we need to clear something up between
46:05Nicole and Sam. Guys,
46:07who ultimately decided to call
46:09the engagement off, and why?
46:11Originally,
46:13I had doubts
46:15about Sam's intentions once
46:17Ben told me his
46:19truth about the situation, because I
46:21knew I trusted you so much.
46:23I then spoke to Sam,
46:25and I told him, look, I did not want
46:27to go to Greece. I didn't want to go on the retreat.
46:29I didn't want to have that experience on camera.
46:31He did not take that very
46:33well. Benai, how did you feel
46:35when you found out that things had been pulled off between them?
46:37I was over the moon. I mean, a lot
46:39had been swirling in my head.
46:41I was loving it.
46:43A lot had been swirling in my head for those
46:45two, three days. I knew
46:47that down in my mind
46:49that Nicole was the one. That just kind of cemented
46:51that in my head and in my heart.
46:53I knew I had to go back and make amends. It felt like
46:55I'd been given another chance,
46:57because I was the first one to pull away.
46:59I was like, I can't mess this up.
47:01So it felt like fate?
47:03Yeah.
47:05Now we have to move on to what happened at the London Mixer.
47:07Sam,
47:09I've got to ask you, mate.
47:11Why on earth did you feel the need
47:13to say to Benai that
47:15Nicole wanted to sleep with him?
47:17Obviously when I first walked in, I felt
47:19that Ben was a little bit off with me, which
47:21now I've watched back, I understand why.
47:23And I genuinely was caught blindsided.
47:25I thought maybe it was going to go in a different
47:27direction, but unfortunately the conversation did get
47:29a little bit heated, and after watching it
47:31back, I wish none of that ever took place.
47:33I really do. You know, for the last week
47:35I've had to have, you know, a lot of... Sam!
47:37Say I'm sorry to Nicole, please!
47:39It was disrespectful,
47:41what you said!
47:47When you said I was
47:49trying to sleep with you and you turned me down,
47:51that was really hurtful.
47:53And a lie.
47:55So I do apologise. I do, I really do.
47:57I really hope we can move forwards with this.
47:59Sam, thank you for coming here today.
48:01I know that it can't
48:03be easy to sit here
48:05and hear everyone's thoughts.
48:07But it is a good opportunity
48:09to clear the air and, you know,
48:11hear what the people who have been involved in this
48:13with you kind of think.
48:15And I think it's very easy, right, for us to all
48:17watch a TV show as audience
48:19members and have opinions
48:21and like, oh, it's
48:23entertainment. But this is your real
48:25lives, right, and there is an
48:27immense amount of pressure because you have
48:29entered into this wanting to
48:31go through the experiment. And I hope that
48:33you can kind of shut out
48:35the noise of everything else that's
48:37kind of happening and
48:39coming towards you. And
48:41heal. Thank you. No, I appreciate it. And just like,
48:43lastly, obviously, I really do, honestly, I'm
48:45honoured to have got to do the experience
48:47and I really do wish all of you the best,
48:49like, generally speaking. Like, no,
48:51like, that is the truth. Thank you, Sam.
48:53So I appreciate it. Thank you so much. And I do apologise.
48:57APPLAUSE
49:03So, Benaiah and Sam.
49:05Benaiah and Sam. Benaiah, sorry, Benaiah and Sam.
49:07That's a whole new couple. Yeah.
49:09Nicole and Benaiah, what does the future
49:11look like? Do you mean me or you?
49:13OK, you go. Travel.
49:15Yay!
49:17Going to Ghana,
49:19hopefully, by the end of the year.
49:21Yeah, it's just basically a few months
49:23a year adventuring. Future of happiness.
49:25Yay!
49:27Benaiah and Nicole.
49:29APPLAUSE
49:33Right, finally,
49:35a psychic predicted Freddie would
49:37end up with someone whose name starts with a
49:39C, but nobody
49:41predicted what would happen next.
49:43Catherine, we need an update.
49:45What is the latest with the two of you?
49:47You are sat together, which gives me hope.
49:49No, we're
49:51not together.
49:53Yeah,
49:55do I? Do you want to say? It was just difficult.
49:57I mean, I'm not
49:59taking away the fact that we had something special
50:01and it was amazing. I felt our lifestyles
50:03were a little bit different.
50:05There were things that,
50:07personally, I wasn't
50:09happy about at times, and equally,
50:11you probably felt I annoyed you
50:13at times, and I think it was probably 50-50.
50:15In terms of our differences,
50:17yeah, I think we did live
50:19a different life, but
50:21gosh, I have never laughed so much
50:23over this guy.
50:25So, yeah, I
50:27don't disagree with what Freddie's saying.
50:29Freddie, what did you feel was the turning
50:31point? It was difficult. I think
50:33there was moments that,
50:35I don't know, I think that
50:37when we were in Greece,
50:39I thought there was a couple of
50:41things that happened. I did feel like
50:43you'd snap at me quite a bit
50:45when it wasn't justified.
50:47And I felt like
50:49maybe at times I couldn't be myself.
50:51Yeah. And I struggled
50:53with that. The topic of cheating
50:55came up. Oh, God, yeah.
50:57It caused a bit of a stir, right? Do you think
50:59that that conversation started to
51:01make you kind of look for problems
51:03in the relationship? No. Obviously, it's
51:05not nice to hear, and I did say the word
51:07once a cheat, always a cheat, but that is
51:09just because I've been cheated on in
51:11all my relationships, so that's where that was
51:13just coming from. I was just in shock.
51:15So that was like a trauma coming back to you.
51:17Yeah, but I would never sit here
51:19and just hold, because he's cheated
51:21seven, eight years ago. She doesn't have to justify
51:23herself whatsoever. If anything,
51:25I appreciate the fact that she was
51:27willing to sort of see past that and see me for who I am.
51:29So, you know, I appreciate that
51:31from her. So let's fast forward to
51:33the wedding day. Freddie,
51:35we've got to ask you about the earrings.
51:37You knew you weren't
51:39going to get married
51:41at that point, so why
51:43the gift? I feel like if I didn't get
51:45the earrings, it might have
51:47been frowned upon.
51:49That didn't get you a present,
51:51and if I did get you the earrings, it
51:53would have been seen as his misled me.
51:55Have you kept the earrings? So when we split, I just
51:57thought it was the right thing just to give
51:59it back. I didn't
52:01want him to win them. I just, I don't know.
52:03For Freddie to even get me earrings,
52:05it was like, I don't know, it was so like,
52:07I was in shock, because
52:09he's not that type of guy, so when he did that, I was
52:11so grateful, and it
52:13took me, I was like, oh my gosh, so I knew that
52:15for him meant a lot. And it was really
52:17clear to see, Freddie, that it wasn't
52:19easy for you to say no
52:21at the altar, and we
52:23know how much you value your sister's
52:25opinion. We saw you have those
52:27conversations. Betsy Dora is with us
52:29in the audience this evening. Do you still
52:31feel like that gut feeling that you
52:33had that they weren't right was
52:35right? Yeah, 100%. I
52:37stand by the advice I gave
52:39Freddie at the time,
52:41and I would still say exactly the same
52:43today, because I have cried
52:45every time Freddie's come on telly,
52:47every time, you know, I've seen the proposal,
52:49every time I've seen the reveal, because the connection
52:51was real. I do believe
52:53that. Yeah. I thought that you
52:55looked like a beautiful couple.
52:57But when Freddie did
52:59come back from there, and
53:01the retreat, I could see he was very, very
53:03reserved. I could see something wasn't quite
53:05right. I actually do agree
53:07with what Betsy is saying.
53:09I don't disagree. It's a weird
53:11one. It's kind of like how I felt
53:13was, the
53:15transition from the pods to
53:17the next stage, it was like, that's where
53:19the wall became. When the
53:21wall was there, everything was great, the wall
53:23comes away, that's when the trouble starts. That's when
53:25they felt there was a wall, you know,
53:27and things started to change.
53:29Well, things haven't worked
53:31out in the real world, but
53:33behind the wall, you immediately
53:35connected from
53:37their gym schedules to their
53:39grandparents' names. They fell in love,
53:41sight unseen, and Katherine,
53:43it hasn't gone unnoticed
53:45how emotional you were.
53:47My nana was called Mary.
53:49Stop, I'm gonna cry.
53:51Isn't that crazy?
53:53What was your grandad called?
53:55Bill. No.
53:57Yeah. I've got goosebumps.
53:59Stop. Do you know what my grandad was called?
54:01Bill.
54:03That's mad.
54:05Is that mad?
54:07That's weird, innit?
54:13Katherine.
54:15Yeah. Will you marry me?
54:19Yeah.
54:21I'm down on one knee, you know.
54:23Oh my god.
54:27I actually love you so much.
54:29Of course I'm gonna wanna marry you.
54:33Let's go.
54:55Is there anything you'd like to say to each other?
54:59Now's your time.
55:01I think we'll stay friends,
55:03you know, probably forever.
55:05I'd actually just like to say thank you,
55:07because, gosh, I am
55:09snappy.
55:11I do admit that, but
55:13Freddie taught me a lot,
55:15and I'm such a better
55:17person, and Jaz taught me
55:19a lot, Demi taught me a lot, every girl
55:21taught me a lot, so, yeah, thanks.
55:23Yeah, it was a crazy journey we went through.
55:25It winds up though, thank you.
55:27And it just never changed, because
55:29you will make a girl happy.
55:31And I think we are so much better suited
55:33as friends, because honestly, it was
55:35just the best time, so,
55:37yeah, I'm grateful. And we loved it.
55:39So thank you guys, thank you very, very much.
55:41Everybody, Freddie and Katherine.
55:51Genuinely, genuinely, thank you
55:53all so, so much for
55:55taking part. Thank you all for coming here
55:57tonight, because I know a lot
55:59has happened in a very short space
56:01of time. Some of our couples
56:03have come to the end of the road. Others
56:05are very much head-on
56:07down the road of love, and
56:09hoping to start a family,
56:11and travelling the world.
56:13APPLAUSE
56:15Do you know what?
56:17I think love truly is blind.
56:19I think it is as well. I would definitely
56:21have fallen for you, Simon Seam.
56:23Really? Yeah. If I think about it,
56:25without my emo-fringing guyliner,
56:27you probably would have had an easier job.
56:29No, I like the guyliner. Really? Yeah.
56:31Shall I bring it back? Not the fringe. Not the fringe.
56:33But the eyeliner, yes.
56:35I've got a question for you. OK.
56:37Do you fancy doing it all again?
56:39I do.
56:41OK, until next time, bye!
