Prophet Jacob guides the Israelites to pray to the One and Only God. God annunciates to him about the next prophet, who will be from his own generation. One night, his son, Joseph, dreams about the sun, the moon and eleven stars which kneel in front of him. He tells Jacob, who advises him not to tell his brothers about the dream. Prophet Joseph is dear to Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. For centuries, the story of his life has been told over and over in many different ways and in many different languages. This is the Iranian version of a very beloved story.

00:00Here's Aman Temple.
00:23He'll join the morning awakening ceremony of Aman, the great god of Egyptians.
00:30Do you mean the great god of Egyptians was asleep last night?
00:34Yes.
00:35Aman and some of the lesser gods rest during the night.
00:40If a servant needs to pray to his god during the night, what can he do?
00:46Servants like gods must rest during the night.
00:50The gods have chosen days for the servants' needs.
01:01We will enter.
01:32Only worshippers of Aman and the Egyptians are permitted to enter.
01:42Strangers are forbidden to enter.
01:57All the priests earlier purified themselves in the Nile.
02:03They must do this in order to enter the temple.
02:08Nobody is permitted to enter the temple except the priests.
02:39They use those to wash and purify Aman.
02:43Then they change his clothes and adorn him.
02:47Then they put on sweetest smelling scents to make him ready for the servant's worship.
02:58People cannot worship Aman privately or someplace else?
03:03No.
03:04We worship Aman only in the temple.
03:07In his presence.
03:15I have heard that god is everywhere.
03:37I have heard that god is everywhere.
04:07I have heard that god is everywhere.
04:37I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:08I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:11I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:14I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:17I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:20I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:23I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:26I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:29I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:32I have heard that god is everywhere.
05:36O lofty soul of our god Aman, who has flown to the sky.
05:44Now return to your earthly form and earthly figure so to once again be present and take in your capable hands all your servants and worshippers affairs.
06:01O great god, mighty Aman.
06:04O great god, mighty Aman.
06:07Wake up in peace and calm.
06:11Wake up in peace and calm.
06:34O great god, mighty Aman.
06:49O great god, mighty Aman.
06:51Consume from the spiritual essence of these offerings, sacrifices and bless them for the earth.
07:03That's enough.
07:14Distribute them among the priests and the people.
11:28Do you see how beautiful Amon is?
11:55How beautifully they've adorned him.
12:00Don't his worshippers take his gold and jewelry?
12:03No.
12:04The priests are watching.
12:06No one would dare do such a thing.
12:09It must be this way.
12:12Otherwise thieves may rob Amon.
12:16I thought Amon was the protector of us.
12:20But you are saying that Amon needs the protection of the priests and servants.
12:25What's wrong with that?
12:27Amon is the most important thing we have.
12:30He must be protected.
12:40Blessings on you, my servants.
12:44I, Amon Ra, return from my nightly resting abode to manage the affairs of my servants.
12:55By my will, the morning came and life renewed.
13:01Go and make efforts for me, for I am your God.
13:08Go and make efforts so I provide you with sustenance by my will.
13:21O great Amon!
13:40Excuse me, my lady.
13:43Was it Amon talking?
13:46Didn't you see?
13:47Yes, I did see.
13:50The stone doesn't talk.
13:53Amon isn't a stone.
13:55He is a soul that has been incarnated in that form.
14:04Forgive me.
14:05Amon is a mighty God with no needs.
14:10But I saw his various needs today.
14:14He needs to rest.
14:16Also clothing, jewelry, and washing.
14:19He even needed the priests to move him.
14:23He couldn't take care of himself.
14:25He needed the help of others.
14:27He needed a place to live, wife, children, and many other things.
14:32We who can walk and put on clothes, adorn ourselves, and wash ourselves are more wantless
14:39than Amon.
14:41Are we not?
14:46I felt debilitated before him.
14:50He is only a child in appearance.
14:53I couldn't answer many of his questions, and most of the answers I gave him weren't even
14:59convincing to myself.
15:04He is very smart.
15:07Don't worry.
15:09I will take him into the temple and teach him everything there is to learn.
15:19I'll speak honestly.
15:21He made me doubt Amon.
15:23Amon is our God.
15:29The predator seems to have been caught.
