00:11:59Gunther defending against Orton for the world title.
00:12:01Same type of atmosphere Knight's facing tonight.
00:12:04Yeah, and it's quite a while since LA Knight has been in the position
00:12:07of perhaps not being the crowd favorite in a matchup.
00:12:10And if you're not expecting that, and I'm pretty sure LA Knight was not
00:12:14anticipating Ludwig Kaiser coming out tonight, it really can throw a superstar.
00:12:18Much like Gunther, Kaiser began his career West Side Extreme Wrestling
00:12:22here in Germany.
00:12:23He was actually a world champion in that promotion.
00:12:26He was a tag team champion as well.
00:12:28His tag team, Wade, was named Hot and Spicy.
00:12:32Oh, yeah, and if you look at clips of them, they certainly were hot and spicy.
00:12:35But I'll add to it this, Michael Cole, as we know,
00:12:39Kaiser has very much been a tag specialist in his entire time
00:12:44under the WWE umbrella.
00:12:47This is his first ever opportunity to win singles gold.
00:12:52And looking to make it a short-lived championship reign for LA Knight.
00:12:57And the thing about Kaiser, Wade, is that LA Knight really encapsulates
00:13:03everything that Kaiser says he hates about sports entertainment today.
00:13:07He wants to wipe the silliness out of sports entertainment.
00:13:10He looks at a guy like LA Knight with the catchphrases and a fan favorite and
00:13:14the way that he carries himself as one of those people he would like to take out
00:13:17of the equation.
00:13:18Yeah, I kind of disagree with Kaiser on that one.
00:13:21I get it when you get the clowns, the fools, the jokers in this industry.
00:13:25The difference with LA Knight is he likes to fool around.
00:13:28He likes a bit of audience participation every now and again.
00:13:31But imagine, he'd back it up when that bell rings, and Kaiser knows that.
00:13:34Indeed, the biggest win of his career back earlier this month at SummerSlam.
00:13:37LA Knight winning his first singles championship here in WWE.
00:13:41A long road, and one that Knight earned.
00:13:45Of course, knocking off Logan Paul at SummerSlam.

00:15:11decided to have an open challenge for his United States Championship.
00:15:18Because Ludwig Kaiser is taking the fight to the champ.

00:18:09LA Knight got that much needed first championship retention out of the way
