00:00In any project, any TV show, any film, the villains always have the best lines, don't they?
00:04And you have some crackers in here, don't you?
00:06I have some crackers.
00:07Do you have, without giving too much away, do you have a favourite memorable quote from your character?
00:12There's one line that's particularly caustic, where he says,
00:16Well, at least my wife matches the wallpaper.
00:20And that was, that's raw.
00:22That's a harsh, harsh line.
00:25How was your summit in Cape Cod filming this?
00:28Because, you know, there are worse places to have a job, obviously.
00:31However, you know, you have to go through the ringer.
00:33It's work still, but how was your time in Cape Cod?
00:35We had a blast, yeah.
00:36I mean, it was kind of the off-season when we arrived out there.
00:39But we all had our own little houses.
00:43And, you know, we would hang out in the weekends.
00:46We'd barbecue.
00:47We'd light a fire pit and drink a couple of beers together.
00:49And we went whale watching a bunch of times.
00:52It was amazing.
00:54It was like, it was like a working holiday.
00:56It was not like you had to wake up every morning and remind yourself.
00:59It's not always like this.
01:01This is a particularly nice one.
01:03After watching you in The Perfect Couple,
01:05I'm a little bit jarred to hear your Irish accent right now.
01:07Right.
01:08Do you have a phrase or a word which lets you into it,
01:11or is it something that you can just switch on?
01:14I think I kind of switch it on.
01:17Yeah, particularly when you're shooting in the States,
01:20everybody around you, it's their natural dialect.
01:23So you just kind of get into your ear, you know.
01:26I really watched your character as well.
01:28And I loved the way you addressed him,
01:29because it really did look like finance bro-y.
01:31Did you enjoy it?
01:32Did that really help you get into the character with your polos?
01:34Absolutely.
01:35Absolutely.
01:36Yeah, it was my head uniform.
01:38Yeah.
01:39Obviously, your on-screen parents are Leigh-Abe and Nicole Kidman,
01:42a fantastic pairing.
01:43How did you find the experience of working with them both?
01:45Did you have any preconceptions about what they might like to be,
01:47what they might like you to work with?
01:49And how did they surprise you, I guess?
01:52I wouldn't say I was surprised by them.
01:54I expected them both to be at the top of their game,
01:58which they both are.
01:59They're both brilliant actors.
02:03Nicole is very funny.
02:05She's got a really dry sense of humor.
02:07And it's something that, as an Irish person,
02:10I really recognize, you know.
02:12So in between our setups, I had really good laughs with her.
02:18Similarly with Leigh-Abe, he's just hilarious.
02:21He's such good crack.
02:23So, yeah, I had a great time with both of them.
02:28Some of those scenes that we all shot together were so much fun to do.
02:31It was just great.
02:32Ultimately, audiences are going to watch a murder mystery like this
02:35and have all these guesses about whodunit and everything.
02:38Were you correct when you first started to make your guesses of whodunit?
02:42I never even guessed.
02:43I burned through the script so quickly that I didn't even bother
02:46to try and figure out who did it.
02:48I was just chewing up the whole thing.
02:51But I was slightly taken aback at the end
02:56by who it does turn out to be.
02:58That's a good tease.
02:59All right, thank you so much for your time.
03:00Enjoy tonight.
03:01Thanks a lot.
03:02Appreciate you.
