00:00Health officials in Mandaue City, Cebu, are now investigating the six suspected cases of mpax in Lunsod.
00:08According to Mandaue City Health Office Head Dr. Debra Maria Catulong,
00:13six people were isolated in their homes where they were given medical kits and food.
00:21Their samples were immediately sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Manila for a confirmatory test.
00:29According to Catulong, one of the suspected cases of mpax is a woman who was caught shopping outside.
00:36Meanwhile, according to Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit Head Dr. Eugenia Mercedes Canial,
00:43there is still no death warrant for the government to conduct a mass vaccination against mpax.
00:50Since 2022, the country has reported 12 cases of mpax.
