00:00The Land Transportation Office extended the deadline for the prohibition of the use of improvised and temporary plates in vehicles.
00:10According to LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, the ban on the use of temporary plates was imposed on December 31 instead of September 1.
00:23Officials also asked motorists to take and install their license plates when they are available in car dealerships or in their jobs for replacement plates.
00:37Mendoza also said that the installation of license plates will help as a crime prevention measure.
00:44Mendoza also insisted that the agency is under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to address all backlogs in license plates by June of the next year.
00:56He is also coordinating with regional directors and district office heads of local governments to distribute license plates.
