00:00The siphoning operation of the MT Terranova in Limay, Bataan is nearing its end, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.

00:08The operation will last for one to two days.

00:11Meanwhile, all the crew members were successfully rescued from the shipwrecked boat yesterday in Navotas City.

00:22The siphoning operation of the MT-KR Terranova in Limay, Bataan will last for one to two days.

00:31This is what the Philippine Coast Guard said in their latest update.

00:35According to the PCG, they are already collecting 1.2 million liters of oil waste,

00:41of which 815,000 liters were transported to the treatment facility, which is also accredited by the DNR.

00:48According to Lt. Cmdr. Michael John Encina, the PCG-NCR Central Luzon will still depend on the timing

00:55of when they will be able to finish the siphoning activity while experiencing the effects of the earthquake.

01:01We still have 200,000 liters of oil waste to collect here in the sinking motor tanker Terranova.

01:12We estimate upon weather permitting that the siphoning operation will start early.

01:19This will last for one to two days depending on the weather and the sea conditions in that jurisdiction.

01:28Meanwhile, the PCG confirmed that 18 crew members were successfully rescued from the shipwrecked boat yesterday at 9 a.m.

01:38They were assigned to a base in the Votas Anchorage area, where the Bureau of Fire Protection provided early medical assistance to them.

01:45They were the first to be investigated after the shipwrecked boat GT-Express caught fire.

01:53The incident was declared a fire-out at 5 p.m. yesterday.

01:57Our Philippine Coast Guard will continue to provide the necessary assistance.

02:03Our quick response team is deployed and on standby to provide immediate action

02:09regarding the reports of evacuation and the rescue operations that we will need.
