00:17Today is the third and last day of the International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security.

00:22Later, there will be a special forum of delegates.

00:25And it will be followed by a thematic discussion

00:28here at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

00:34There will be a special forum of delegates

00:37from different regions

00:40to discuss women, peace, and security,

00:42especially in the regions of Southeast Asia, Middle East, and North Africa.

00:47After this, there will be a fourth and final session of thematic discussion.

00:52It will discuss how the National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security

00:57and the Climate Change Response.

00:59Aside from the thematic discussion,

01:0110 side events will also be prepared for the delegates.

01:06Several major agencies will host the side events.

01:09These include the United Nations,

01:11International Dialogue Center,

01:13Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity,

01:18Department of Interior and Local Government,

01:20Department of Budget and Management,

01:22and several state universities.

01:25Meanwhile,

01:26yesterday, a ceremonial signing was held

01:28of the Memorandum of Understanding on Women, Peace, and Security

01:32by the Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity

01:36and the Secretary's Office of Global Women's Issues

01:39of the Department of State of the USA.

01:42President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was authorized

01:44by Senior Undersecretary Isidro Purisima

01:47for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding,

01:50while Principal Deputy Katrina Fotovat

01:53was authorized by the U.S.

01:56With the establishment of this Center of Excellence,

01:59the Philippines can further accelerate

02:02the progress of its WPS implementation,

02:05especially with the 4th Generation Philippine Map

02:09on the aspects of monitoring and evaluation,

02:12localization of the plan,

02:14and deepened map support in our region.

02:18Today, the PASAY Declaration will also be held.

02:22This is a collective effort by the countries

02:24to strengthen the implementation of women's rights,

02:28gender equality worldwide,

02:30and uniting women in the peacemaking process.

02:33It is expected that some secretaries will attend,

02:36including Secretary Amena Pangandaman,

02:39Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.,

02:40and Secretary Enrique Manalo.
