00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel, in this video, I will explain the ending of Trunk Locked
00:04In, so, let's begin.
00:06Amazon Prime Video's German film Trunk Locked In ends with Melina Voss' efforts to escape
00:10from the trunk of her kidnapper's car.
00:13Melina deals with the revelation that her boyfriend Enno orchestrated her kidnapping
00:16to earn money from her father Wolfgang Voss while she has been dreaming of building a
00:19life together with him.
00:21Melina uses her sister Mon Voss' pregnancy to trick Enno into thinking that he is going
00:25to be a father.
00:27Her plan works as Enno gets convinced that Melina is pregnant but the driver doesn't
00:30let his partner free the woman in captivity, forcing her to rely on the last resort, here
00:34is everything you need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will contain
00:38spoilers.
00:39Trunk Locked In begins with Melina gaining consciousness inside the trunk of a car.
00:43She fails to move her legs after several attempts.
00:47The doctor then opens the trunk, only to see the silhouette of a man, who is walking towards
00:50the vehicle.
00:52At the same time, her phone rings inside a bag.
00:55Before the man locks the trunk, Melina manages to retrieve her phone and lie down pretending
00:59to be passed out.
01:01After the car starts moving, she tries to reach someone for help.
01:04Her sister Mon calls her to share the news of her getting pregnant, only for Melina to
01:08interrupt and say that she needs help.
01:10Mon thinks that her sister is joking with her and cuts the call.
01:14Melina soon discovers a cut on her body through which she is losing blood.
01:18As a doctor, she realizes that she has lost a kidney.
01:22Using a lace from her shoe, she estiches the wound.
01:25A video she recorded shows a kidnapper handling her boyfriend Eno and forcing her to drink
01:29a bottle of water, which made her pass out.
01:32Melina then calls the emergency number, only to get connected to a dispatcher named Elisa
01:35Kuhn.
01:36Elisa asks Melina to give her any information that would help her track the car.
01:41While she is talking to the dispatcher, her father Wolfgang Voss calls her after receiving
01:45a ransom demand.
01:47Since Melina left her home with Eno for a South American trip that was supposed to last
01:50six months, her father thinks that the ransom demand is his daughter's trick to get money
01:54from him.
01:55When he realizes that Melina is serious, he suspects the Gabriels, the parents of a kid
02:00who died amid surgery by the doctor.
02:02Meanwhile, Eno calls her and makes it clear that he is in the same car and the ransom
02:06has to be paid.
02:08After listening to the kidnapper saying that he will kill her at 4.30, Melina becomes panicked.
02:13Her father pays the ransom but the kidnappers don't respond to him, indicating that they
02:16do not plan to free her.
02:19How does Melina escape from the trunk?
02:21Melina first tries to escape when the driver stops at a gas station to fill the gas in
02:25the car.
02:26Unfortunately, the place is isolated for anyone to help or save her from the kidnapper.
02:31But stalling him in the place helps her as Elisa succeeds in figuring out where exactly
02:35Melina is.
02:37After the kidnapper continues his journey, she tries to attract attention using an iron
02:41rod she manages to take from the bottom of the car.
02:44Melina takes out the backlight of the vehicle and waves her fingers through the hole for
02:47someone to spot her.
02:49When a man does, the kidnapper drives fast, causing several accidents.
02:53After two unsuccessful attempts, Melina learns that her father paid the ransom demanded by
02:57the kidnappers.
02:59From Elisa, she learns that the ransom call was from Eno's phone, only for her to demand
03:03the truth from her boyfriend.
03:05When Eno reveals his involvement in the kidnapping and adds that the kidnappers won't free her,
03:09Melina realizes that she has to be clever to save herself.
03:13She shares her sister Moan's pregnancy ultrasound with Eno to convince him that she is pregnant
03:17with his child.
03:18As someone who has been dreaming of having kids, Eno falls for the trick and tries to
03:22negotiate with the driver.
03:23However, the driver doesn't budge at all.
03:27Even when Eno says that Melina's father has more money to transfer, the kidnapper sticks
03:31to his plan.
03:32To save his supposed child rather than Melina, Eno causes an accident, likely by pulling
03:36the handbrake of the car.
03:38His attempt fails when the driver kills him by shooting him down.
03:42Eno's death makes it clear to Melina that she is in a do-or-die situation.
03:46She cannot rely on the authorities because they are in the Czech Republic.
03:50By the time the German and Czech authorities deal with the protocols, she would be dead.
03:54Thus, Melina decides to risk her life for a last attempt to save herself.
03:59She puts the iron rod she took from the bottom of the car in between the spokes of one of
04:03the tires.
04:04The car ends up in a river.
04:06Luckily, she manages to find a way to crawl into the seating part of the car.
04:10The front windshield of the car is already broken, possibly after Eno caused the accident
04:15or right after Melina put the iron rod in between the spokes, which made it possible
04:18for her to swim to the surface of the river.
04:21By then, the authorities reach the place with an ambulance.
04:24Melina saves herself with utmost resilience.
04:28Even while confronting death at a short distance, she does several things right, which eventually
04:31helps her escape from the trunk.
04:34If her innovative thinking and skills as a doctor hadn't helped her treat her wound
04:37with a shoelace, she may have died losing blood.
04:40Despite not being able to move half of her body, she manages to tear the trunk's platform
04:44apart to find an iron rod that saves her.
04:47Since Melina stalls the kidnapper at the gas station and indirectly causes a series of
04:51accidents, Elisa succeeds in coordinating with the officials who arrive by the river
04:54to rescue her and provide her with medical support.
04:57Why did the kidnappers want to kill Melina?
05:00When Eno orchestrated Melina's kidnapping, the plan was to get ransom money and free
05:04her.
05:05After getting involved with several shady people and in several predicaments, he wants
05:09the money to free himself from them.
05:11However, what he hasn't anticipated is their viciousness.
05:15The kidnappers, including the driver, are seemingly a part of an organ trafficking ring
05:19that takes advantage of the kidnapping planned and co-executed by Eno.
05:23After abducting Melina, they operated on her to steal her kidney.
05:26They then decided against freeing her.
05:29There can be two reasons why they want to kill her.
05:32First, the kidnappers may not want to expose themselves by freeing Melina.
05:36If they let her go, there is a possibility of her leading the authorities to not only
05:40them but also the entire organ trafficking ring.
05:43Their whole operation may get jeopardized through Melina.
05:46The kidnappers may not want to take such a risk by letting Melina run away from them.
05:51As far as they are concerned, she is a nobody, and killing her is a risk-free endeavor.
05:55Therefore, they may have considered the possibility of being vulnerable by freeing her.
06:00Another possible reason can be that they were not done with her.
06:03The kidnappers might have had plans to harvest more organs from Melina.
06:07That can be the reason why the driver takes her to the Czech Republic, where a possible
06:11client has been waiting for her organs.
06:13The driver and his accomplices may have already struck a deal with someone to harvest her
06:16organs, which explains why he doesn't listen to the offer of more money from Melina's father.
06:21That's all for now folks, I would appreciate it if you could give the video a super thanks
06:25with a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel so you can see more content like this every
06:28day, take care, bye!
