00:00I can help you with that. Will you let me?
00:03Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at the 10 greatest Star Wars games that are worth playing on PlayStation 5.
00:16Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long.
00:18So be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:24Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
00:26I believe you once had the opportunity to eliminate its leader.
00:30Why did you not take it?
00:31If you've ever wondered how and why the F.E.T.S. get so much love from Star Wars fans as they do,
00:37you have not played Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
00:40This was a game that offered a change of pace for fans.
00:43Instead of playing with lightsabers and the Force for the umpteenth time,
00:46we got to play with jetpacks and blasters as we hunted down anyone with a price on their head.
00:51We won't lie.
00:52The controls have not aged too well for a game that came out during the PS2 and GameCube.
00:56However, the PS5 remaster from Aspyr comes with some neat features for PS5 users,
01:02like feedback on the adaptive triggers and the light bar indicating Jango's health.
01:06There's even a special playthrough waiting for you if you reach a 100% completion,
01:10but we'll let you live that out for yourselves.
01:14The champion is in trouble!
01:17Oh, what a blow!
01:20Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster
01:23A new stormtrooper that can take out a rebel base that quickly?
01:27I should have kept working for the Empire.
01:29Night Dive Studios has been remastering a lot of old-school boomer shooters and
01:33bringing them forward to modern hardware.
01:35The remaster of Dark Forces shows some of their best work.
01:38Sure, the menus look a little rudimentary,
01:41but you're here for the gameplay and visual improvements, right?
01:44Well, the quality is about as great as the modern ports of Doom.
01:47Never before has Dark Forces seen such clarity in its textures and sprites.
01:52Couple that with the smooth framerate,
01:54and what you have is a remaster that brings the full vision of the original to life,
01:58and this time, both PC and console users are having the same great experience,
02:03which is something the original never lived up to.
02:12Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection
02:15A quick addendum.
02:16We have called this one of the worst video game remasters we had ever seen.
02:21Indeed, Battlefront Classic Collection was a catastrophe at launch
02:25for those wanting to play online with their friends.
02:35As months have passed, though,
02:37Aspyr has done some work to make things right.
02:39For starters, online multiplayer is drastically more functional than it used to be.
02:44The visual and audio bugs, on the other hand,
02:46almost all of them have been fixed at the time of this video.
02:49We can see why some might see that $35 price tag as pretty steep for a collection like this
02:54when it should have launched with no issues to begin with.
02:57However, those who spent a ton of hours playing the campaigns in both games
03:01and Battlefront 2's Galactic Conquest mode back in the day,
03:04they will find a remaster that is worth every penny.
03:14Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 The Hidden Empire
03:22Rebel Assault 2 was one of those rare instances where the console version of a game turned out
03:27way better than the PC version did.
03:29By today's standards, the higher quality FMVs are now laughable,
03:33but even so, this is a neat title for PS5 owners to check out just for history's sake.
03:38This was one of a few Star Wars games that was a little more focused on letting players relive
03:43moments from the movies in a loose sense.
03:45We can understand how some might be put off by the simplicity or the low difficulty increase.
03:50Regardless, hardcore Star Wars fans might want to try this one out if they haven't before.
03:54And hey, if you mess up, the PS5 version does have that handy rewind feature.
04:05Pinball FX
04:07Okay, so we know this isn't exactly a game catered specifically to Star Wars and only Star Wars,
04:13well that wasn't even close.
04:16Still, Pinball FX offers plenty for fans of the franchise.
04:20Over the years, Zen Studios has developed more than 20 pinball tables
04:25inspired by the galaxy far, far away.
04:28From tables based on the movies and TV shows to even a table entirely themed around droids,
04:34Pinball FX will have you wanting to play one more game whether you're playing for score
04:38or trying to conquer every challenge on the tables.
04:41Feed the zipper flipper and use it to score a super skill shot.
04:45Star Wars The Clone Wars
04:49Mace Windu to all Jedi fighters, we are on final approach to Geonosis.
04:54On the surface, Clone Wars is a game that should have disappointed most fans.
04:58Come on, this is a game where you play as Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace Windu.
05:02Why play as a Jedi if most of your time is spent piloting vehicles?
05:06Well to be fair, the vehicular combat is pretty damn fun.
05:10Clone Wars manages to deliver a game where the action is explosive,
05:13the controls make every ground and air vehicle handle well,
05:16and we still got a few opportunities to fight Geonosians with lightsabers and force abilities.
05:22No, the re-release for PS5 doesn't come with any upgrades, but for five bucks,
05:26hey, why not give this old gem a shot?
05:28I did, and I wound up loving it.
05:30Gonna go for that platinum now.
05:32LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga
05:43If you're one of the older fans that used to play LEGO Star Wars back in the mid-2000s,
05:47well, you can play the PSP version of LEGO Star Wars 2 on PS5,
05:51and it's still a ton of fun to play.
05:53But if you want something that was meant for the modern generation of players,
05:57Skywalker Saga is one of the GOATS.
06:00TT Games went all out on this one despite the monumental challenges the NTT
06:04engine hoisted upon them.
06:06That's actually what it's called, by the way.
06:08N-T-T.
06:11They weren't the droids we were looking for!
06:14Even though the combat can feel samey at times,
06:16every level perfectly captures the scope and excitement
06:19that each of the nine main movies featured.
06:22Heck, this is the first time I've ever seen a game that's so similar to Star Wars.
06:26Heck, this game actually makes Rise of Skywalker
06:29seem like a way better movie than it actually is.
06:31As for gameplay, you have a whopping 20-plus planets to explore with their own missions
06:36and a litany of kyber bricks to find.
06:39Oh, and did we mention Skywalker Saga boasts
06:42a meaty roster of more than 300 playable characters?
06:46Yeah, there's a lot of fan service packed into this game.
06:51There's no one on board, sir.
06:52Send a scanning crew aboard.
06:54I want every part of this ship checked.
06:56Yes, sir.
07:00When games inspired by Dark Souls began cropping up in the late 2010s,
07:04many were wondering when Star Wars might get a shot at the genre.
07:07Whatever you say.
07:08Hey, we should get back down.
07:10In comes respawn entertainment with Jedi Fallen Order.
07:13For a studio that has been primarily focused on first-person shooters,
07:17this was far better than we had anticipated.
07:19In addition to telling an original and compelling story with Cal Kestis,
07:23Fallen Order excels in executing a fast and fluid combat system.
07:27While some may have a problem with the lightsaber not easily slicing through
07:30every stormtrooper you encounter,
07:32many enemies do provide a good amount of challenge with their own moves and patterns.
07:36As for the Force, many abilities offer uses both in and out of combat,
07:41creating unique situations for puzzles and exploration.
07:44If you're a fan of the Jedi and you somehow haven't played this for yourself,
07:48well, what have you been doing?
07:49In all honesty, this game could have had a smoother launch given the technical problems it faced then.
07:54However, much time has passed, and with issues now being ironed out,
07:58Jedi Survivor is absolutely worthy of some praise.
08:02While Respawn could have easily recycled ideas from Fallen Order and just
08:05given us new locations and characters,
08:08Survivor goes a long way in making the game more engaging and fun to play.
08:12It's a great game to play if you're a fan of the genre,
08:14but it's also a great game to play if you're a fan of the gameplay.
08:18Survivor goes the extra mile with new ideas, specifically in its use of stances.
08:24Stances now required players to recognize how to approach certain enemies,
08:28much like how stances worked in Sucker Punch Studio's Ghost of Tsushima.
08:31Level design, on the other hand, presented new secrets for players to uncover
08:35as they revisited the planet Kobo.
08:37In other words, Survivor was a sequel that knew the right
08:40amount of bells and whistles to tack on to its already imaginative formula.
08:48Star Wars Outlaws
08:53Just a disclaimer, Ubisoft did provide a code for us to give us the chance to play this game.
09:01And after spending a little over a week, maybe two by the time you hear this video,
09:06we're happy to say that Star Wars Outlaws is another home run in a year of strong titles
09:11coming from the AAA side of the industry.
09:13Developer Massive Entertainment, one of Ubisoft's internal studios,
09:17has put together a world that feels completely original,
09:19yet portrays locations that look as if they could have been ripped from the movies.
09:23The way you come across missions and interact with the world will often stem from data pads
09:27you read and conversations you listen in on, giving an organic layer to the gameplay loop.
09:32Best of all, none of Star Wars Outlaws is bogged down by the problems of other
09:37Ubisoft games in recent years. No onslaught of waypoints and icons,
09:41no mindless XP progression system with loaded skill trees, and no cringey as hell writing.
09:47Kay and Nyx just might go down in history as one of the most badass duos in the franchise too,
09:52thanks to their versatile tactics in stealth and combat.
09:56Overall, Star Wars Outlaws should not be slept on. If you've been wanting a Star Wars game that
10:01steps away from the Force and lightsabers for once, now's your chance to play one of the
10:05best video games the IP has seen. But what's your favorite Star Wars game to play on PS5?
10:16Did it make our list? Let us know down in the comments,
