00:00Good afternoon to all of us. This is an update on the weather forecast.
00:04The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, which is now affecting the entire Luzon area, is still being enhanced.
00:13Tonight, heavy rains will continue to fall on the areas of Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan.
00:21So, our fellow countrymen, beware of flooding and landslides.
00:27Meanwhile, heavy rains will continue to fall on the areas of Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon,
00:38Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, and Mimaropa.
00:45There are still heavy rains in the mentioned areas, but these are light to moderate rains only.
00:51Meanwhile, here in the flooded areas of our province, particularly in Micaguayan Valley, Bicol Region, the rest of Calabarzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,
01:00tonight, the weather is clear. Generally, the sky is partly cloudy to cloudy.
01:06If there is a chance of rain, this is just a temporary downpour caused by localized thunderstorms.
01:12Meanwhile, we are monitoring a low-pressure area outside our area of responsibility.
01:18We do not expect this to have a direct effect on any part of our country.
01:23However, we are monitoring this cloud cluster in the eastern part of Luzon,
01:28where there is a potential for a low-pressure area in the coming days, and we are not ruling out the possibility of a storm.
01:37And based on our latest TC threat potential, this is the number one here in our presentation,
01:44where there is a high chance of a storm.
01:48But as we can see, this possible threat is far or outside our area of responsibility.
01:54That is why we do not expect this to have a landfall scenario,
01:59or we do not expect this to have a direct effect on any part of our country.
02:06However, we are still being careful and we are preparing the public because this possible storm
02:12is possible to enhance or strengthen the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat by next week.
02:18That is why we will continue to keep you updated on the bad weather.
02:23Meanwhile, if we can see here, we have a second low-pressure area or circulation that we will monitor,
02:30where towards the end of next week, it is also possible for this to enter our area of responsibility,
02:37and there is also a high chance that this will become a storm.
02:41Based on our latest track, moving north-westward, and this is already quite high,
02:47by third week or in the week of 13 to 19, we can see that this is already high towards the Taiwan area.
02:55And this bad weather that we said is also possible to become a storm,
03:00for now, the chance of a landfall scenario is low or it will have a direct effect on our country.
03:06However, we will still monitor this because they always have an enhancement
03:11or there is a high chance for Habagat to rain on a large part of Luzon,
03:16along with Metro Manila, by the week of 13 to 19.
03:20That is why we will continue to keep you updated on the bad weather,
03:23because these scenarios are still possible to change,
03:27and we are also releasing updates or new information about the bad weather that we are saying.
03:35So, we can visit our social media accounts at DOST Underscore Pag-asa,
03:39and we are also posting this kind of information on our website.
03:45Meanwhile, for the upcoming weather tomorrow,
03:49Habagat will slowly weaken due to the continuous distance of the former storm Enteng.
03:55However, this part of Zambales, Bataan, Ilocos region,
03:59will continue to experience cloudy skies tomorrow with scattered rains.
04:05But here in Metro Manila, as well as in other parts of Luzon,
04:10we are hoping for an improving weather condition tomorrow.
04:13So, it is possible for us to see a sunny day.
04:17Our fellow citizens can also wash their hands.
04:20Just make sure to wash your hands early because when the day and night comes,
04:23there is a chance for us to experience a quick downpour of rain.
04:27Our temperature in Metro Manila tomorrow is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:32Baguio City, 17 to 22 degrees.
04:35Lawal, 24 to 31 degrees.
04:37In Garao, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:40The same goes for the part of Legazpi City.
04:42And in Tagaytay, 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
04:46Let's go to Puerto Princesa City and Calayaan Islands
04:50where the temperature is 26 to 31 degrees.
04:55For our fellow citizens in Visayas and Mindanao,
04:58they will continue to experience cloudy skies.
05:02In Baguio, it will be cloudy until the morning.
05:05But when the day and night comes,
05:07there is a high chance of isolated rain showers due to the localized thunderstorm.
05:12We can visit our social media pages
05:15to be updated if there are thunderstorm advisories that are being issued
05:19by our regional services divisions.
05:24Our temperature in Iloilo tomorrow is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
05:28The same goes for Metro Cebu and Tacloban.

05:35In Metro Davao, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees Celsius.
05:40And 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga City.
05:44For our fellow citizens who will go fishing,
05:47we still have high gill warnings
05:49in the western coast of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union,
05:53western coast of Pangasinan, and Zambales.
05:56In these areas, we do not allow our fishermen
06:00and small fishing boats to go fishing.
06:03Because we expect high waves,
06:06it is possible that the wave height will reach 4.5 meters.
06:10In the neighboring towns of the western section of Luzon,
06:13moderate to rough seas are still possible,
06:16so be careful to our fellow citizens who will go fishing there.
06:19But in other towns of our coast,
06:22it is possible to go fishing until there are enough waves.
06:27For our 3-day weather outlook in the main cities,
06:31particularly here in Metro Manila, Baguio City, and Legazpi City,
06:35for the next 3 days or until Tuesday,
06:38we do not expect heavy rains in the mentioned areas,
06:42so we can still experience the predictable weather.
06:45PC2C or predictable in the morning until the afternoon.
06:49If it reaches the afternoon until the evening,
06:51the chances of heavy rains are high.
06:54Here in Metro Manila,
06:56the temperature is 25 to 32 degrees for the next 3 days,
06:5918 to 22 degrees in Baguio City,
07:02and 25 to 32 degrees in Legazpi City.
07:07For our 3-day weather outlook in the provinces of Mayab, Cebu,
07:13our key cities in Visayas,
07:15particularly in Metro Cebu, Iloilo, and Tacloban City,
07:19where for the next 3 days,
07:21we do not expect heavy rains.
07:24So generally, the weather is fair for the next 3 days
07:27except for thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
07:30Metro Cebu, 25 to 33 degrees above the temperature.
07:34For Iloilo, 25 to 33 degrees as well in Tacloban City.
07:41We also went to Metro Davao, Cagayan de Oro,
07:44and Mezambuanga City,
07:45where until Tuesday,
07:47we also did not expect heavy rains.
07:51So they will continue to experience
07:54partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
07:57There will be rains,
07:58but only temporarily in the afternoon and evening
08:01due to the localized thunderstorm.
08:03It is still hot in Metro Davao.
