00:00The investigation into the Apalachee Heights shooting in Georgia State has taken a turn.
00:06The father of 14-year-old suspect Colt Gray, who opened fire on students, has been arrested
00:12in connection to the shooting.
00:13He is charged with the following, four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of
00:20second degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children. These charges stem from Mr. Gray
00:27knowingly allowing his son, Colt, to possess a weapon.
00:33Colin Gray told investigators that he had purchased the semi-automatic rifle for his
00:37son as a present in December 2023.
00:42In an interview with investigators last year, he revealed that the teen frequently fired
00:46guns and hunted with his father, fully aware of the seriousness of weapons.
00:51The 54-year-old could now face 10 to 30 years in prison.

01:05carried out by minors.

01:12Let's enact universal background checks and end immunity for gun manufacturers.
01:19In April, parents from Michigan who failed to secure an arm at home despite their son
