00:04:34What?
00:04:37But there hasn't been an air raid in months, it's very uncomfortable
00:04:42No no of course I didn't wait till you got out to remove the bedding from the shelter
00:04:47Don't stand gawping there boy get out
00:04:50No

00:05:18Captain square
00:05:22Good evening sir evening corporal
00:05:25Captain main wearing anywhere about I'll go and fetch him no no no I don't worry when I'll breathe in
00:05:29I'll just breathe in I say that's the most impressive row of medals. You've got there. Thank you, sir
00:05:32I'm very proud of them and so you should be my man
00:05:35So you should be do you realize that you are carrying on your chest an illuminated history of the British Empire very sound very sound
00:05:42Good man right carry on
00:05:46Come in
00:05:50Captain square to see you sir. Oh good evening. Good evening sergeant. Good evening. This is sergeant Parkins my butler ah
00:05:58rotten sergeant damn good butler
00:06:01Now he's our captain main wedding anywhere about I'm afraid not say he's just gone home, but I went to very long necklace all right
00:06:07That's it sit
00:06:09Now
00:06:12The reason I call yes is to find out where the captain main wedding ever received some battalion orders
00:06:17I sent out. Oh what orders about the medals what medals?
00:06:22Why do you keep repeating everything? I say what's the matter with you?
00:06:25There's nothing that matter to me at all something. I just can't quite follow your drift
00:06:28Well a week or so ago when I was acting answered
00:06:31Yeah
00:06:31I sent out ten in orders about the forthcoming ceremonial church parade in which I said that all
00:06:36Decorations and medals would be worn and so far our captain main wedding has not acknowledged
00:06:40Well, we didn't get it. I guess you must have got it. We've done about ten days ago
00:06:44Didn't he Parkins most definitely sir cook delivered it personally. Well, I I can assure you we didn't get it
00:06:51Wait a minute. Oh, dear. Yes. Yes. I do remember now. Yes. I was going through something. Yes, that's right
00:06:56I was going through some of the papers with the captain mannering and he put one of them in this drawer
00:07:00And when I asked him what it was he said it was nothing important. We'll have a look at the drawer
00:07:04Of course you can he's left you in charge, isn't he? Yes, but I don't think it's quite right something
00:07:08I mean, it's such a strange thing for him to do really much. I like him, you know, it's so meticulous
00:07:15Yeah, it is I think no it isn't yes that
00:07:20Yes, of course it is of course it is on the forthcoming ceremonial church parade on Sunday 21st
00:07:25All decorations and medals will be worn signed capital square acting adjutant pompous idiot
00:07:34Devil wrote there. Oh, no. No, sir. It really it wasn't me. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. The pity's beginning to drop
00:07:41During the last shindig I was with Lawrence in the desert fighting Johnny Turk
00:07:46Who are you fighting? Oh, just the usual Germans
00:07:49What about a maid wedding? Well, he wasn't fighting anybody. You see he was on the army of occupation after the war
00:07:57As I suspected no wonder he never read out those orders hasn't got any medals
00:08:01He didn't want the other chaps to wear their medals dog in the manger
00:08:05You will see if nobody else is wearing their medals. No one will know that he hasn't got any medals
00:08:09It doesn't want to be shown up. Yes, I see. I wonder if you're right. Of course. I'm right my dear fellow
00:08:12Of course, I'm right now. Listen to this. Listen to this. Yes tonight when you dismiss this parade
00:08:15Yeah, you'll read out that order loud and clear. Yes, you understand. Yes, of course. Good carry on Parkins. All right
00:08:24Yes, all decorations and medals will be worn signed captain square pompous idiot
00:08:31He's a little boy
00:08:35That's had a close
00:08:39Answer
00:08:41Well, the men are sort of lined up on parade. So if you'd care to cast an eye over them cast an eye over them
00:08:49Not a balance sheet Wilson
00:08:51Trade fighting unit fighter and you're supposed to be their sergeant
00:08:55I
00:08:56Haven't say foolish of together Wilson get your shoulders back in your chin and stand up like a man
00:09:02Is that better?
00:09:11The tube ready for inspection sir, thank you sir medals
00:09:25I
00:09:33Smart
00:09:35Who gave you permission to wear those medals shark Wilson ordered me say in addition he ordered them to wear theirs as well as also
00:09:45What are you up to I beg your pardon you're trying to undermine my authority
00:09:48Not at all, sir. There's a battalion order and I mean it passed it on that was all I see
00:09:52You're not heard the last of this Wilson
00:09:54Seem in the office after the parade
00:09:57Are you entitled to all that iron mongrel?
00:10:00That's not answer that there's the KD star
00:10:03So that was personally presented to me by the KD in Egypt in the first Sudanese campaign, sir
00:10:09I want you to understand sir that in that campaign. We were not fighting the Egyptians
00:10:14They was on our side sir, and they was fighting the Mad Mahdi and he was fighting General Gordon
00:10:20So that meant that we was fighting the Mad Mahdi because General Gordon was on the same side
00:10:27You follow me so far sir, yes, thank you
00:10:30Yeah, but there's the Queen Sudan medal. So that was presented me at the second Sudanese campaign against the Mad Mahdi
00:10:37So yeah, it's very interesting. I haven't come to exciting bit yet
00:10:43Is that an authentic decoration or is it some foreign thing
00:10:48That sir is the polar metal for the shackle an expedition really a wild and lonely place
00:10:57Nothing for the eye to behold but ice and snow
00:11:01So they made that up and white
00:11:04But it prepped it. All right, you're not wearing your medals captain. Did he leave them at home? No talking in the back
00:11:12First to speak sir, so that Mad Mahdi what we was fighting in the second Sudanese campaign
00:11:18It's not the same Mad Mahdi is what we fought in the first campaign
00:11:22That was his son what he begat. I
00:11:27See thank you. Yes, sir. In my opinion sir, he wasn't mad at all, but you know how people talk
00:11:34I
00:11:36Was mad enough the day he had he's all shot from under him. He was madder that day
00:11:41I reckon it he was madder than the first Mad Mahdi was that day. I mustn't keep you sir. Got your work
00:11:52I
00:11:54Thought you didn't approve of wearing these things Godfrey. Well, it was an order sir
00:11:58I didn't want to upset you by appearing bare-breasted
00:12:00You
00:12:03Wouldn't have upset me I can assure you
00:12:05Quite nicely, hadn't it? My sister Dolly had a go at them with powdered chalk and vinegar
00:12:10Mind you lemon juice would be better, but we couldn't get any lemons
00:12:15Thank you. I'll bear that in mind
00:12:17What's all that rubbish?
00:12:19my scalp badges
00:12:26That's my tender foot
00:12:28It's knots and splices first aid fire making and that one's elementary tracking
00:12:35Get them off as soon as this parades over I didn't want to put them on no, it was my mum
00:12:41She said if uncle Arthur sergeant Wilson was going to show off. I got to show off as well
00:12:45Yes, well, fortunately sergeant Wilson has more sense out Wilson. What are you doing? Well, I'm entitled to them
00:12:51You're not entitled to get dressed while I'm inspecting the troops
00:12:58This
00:13:01Isn't a musical comedy, you know
00:13:04Get that off. Yeah. Hang on. Mr. Manning. That's a sacred order of the Golden Chris of Abu Dhabi
00:13:10Given to you by the Sheik of Araby, I suppose
00:13:12Now as a matter of fact, he was a sheep and he had 34 wives
00:13:16And he was staying in this posh hotel in Park Lane
00:13:18Now I was on the all-porters top at the time you see and one day he hadn't brought any of his wives with him
00:13:23So this prime minister he comes up to me
00:13:26And he says here listen, can you fix him up with a bird so I said well, I don't know
00:13:29I'll see what I can do. So I guess on the blower. I'll guess on a blur to a friend of mine
00:13:34And he was very grateful
00:13:36He gave me this a kiss on both cheeks and ten quid. I
00:13:42Can't stand any more of this
00:13:44Wilson dismiss this parade and see me in the office. All right, sir, right
00:13:48Pay attention. Would you please I would like to say on behalf of Captain Manning and myself
00:13:52I'm very grateful. We are for the trouble that you've taken in your appearance in this parade now. Well, sir, you all look absolutely lovely
00:14:01And do please try and get here at the right time
00:14:12Come here
00:14:14I
00:14:19Beg your pardon, how dare you go over my head in this underhand fashion
00:14:22Well, there's no need to make such a fuss about it, sir
00:14:25I mean after all it was a battalion order and I merely passed it on that was all it was in my pending draw
00:14:30Yes, I know it was would you have no authority to rummage in my pending draw?
00:14:33No, but you see so blimey typical English summer. What the hell do you want? Oh and happy Christmas to you, too
00:14:40Look you mind not dripping all over my pop to all this. Oh, sorry. I
00:14:46Do not approve of these metals sprawling across everybody's chest
00:14:50It's this war that counts not the one before all the one before that. What's the matter? Didn't I give you any?
00:14:57We're not discussing me. In fact, I'm not discussing anything at all with you. Get out of my orderly room. Just a minute
00:15:02This is a vicar's office and he gives me permission to hang my hat in here anytime I choose
00:15:07He wants to get some service in Tony and another thing I've got a lecture in here tonight, so keep your voice down
00:15:13What a common man he is
00:15:15Absolutely awful. Nevertheless, you know, he was with us in the last lot. What do you mean?
00:15:20What if it's wearing his 1418 medals? That's just the sort of thing. I don't approve of
00:15:25Gallantry is one thing but issuing these bits of brass for any tin pot campaign just because people were there
00:15:30This makes a mockery of the whole thing
00:15:37Good evening, mr. Maron. Would you have any objection if I'm a ferret in the vicar's drawers?
00:15:46He wants his medals for Sunday parade, I think they're in the top left. Oh
00:15:51Here they are
00:15:52pipsqueak and Wilfred
00:15:56They'll set his service off a treat when he's conducting the community him singing
00:16:00Hey, that's precisely what I mean
00:16:03What on earth did he do to earn those sing two verses of Rock of Ages in a French field?
00:16:09And they came up with the rations. Well, there's no harm done
00:16:12So, you know
00:16:12I think it's really rather marvelous when we have parades like this and people are kept in square and go
00:16:17Striding out of the head of their platoon with their gongs waving in the breeze. Oh, yes
00:16:20He'll love every second of it. On the other hand. It can't be quite so much fun for those of us who?
00:16:25Well
00:16:26Who haven't got any medals? How do you mean?
00:16:31like a private Pike
00:16:34You're dismissed sergeant Wilson. I don't polish your medals up for Sunday
00:16:40You're gonna punish your cat badge. I said you were dismissed
00:16:42Oh
00:16:46Yeah, well
00:16:49Well
00:16:51There we stood face to face
00:16:54my eyes looking at his eyes and his eyes looking into my eyes then I
00:16:59Saw his eyes flicker and I pressed home my advantage. I asked him
00:17:06All innocent like how do you know where in your medals?
00:17:13I've got a new all the time
00:17:19Always my leash I
00:17:23Can hardly wait
00:17:25To see everybody's face when he turns up in front of the whole battalion
00:17:31We know my tops
00:17:34Connie were more of this
00:17:37the every man that sends
00:17:40comes
00:17:41Mrs.
00:17:46Evil man
00:17:48Yeah, you know I can't help feeling sorry for Captain Manor and I mean after all it's not his fault
00:17:52He's got no medals is it? Ah, it's a perfect disgrace man us being led by a man with nothing up here
00:18:00Mind you he's got nothing up here either
00:18:04Medals down, you know
00:18:11In
00:18:18Would you mind would you mind doing that just just just fall in
00:18:23I have a very important announcement to make to the platoon. That's all in good time Wilson. All right, sir, platoon turn attention
00:18:30Try and get it right Jersey
00:18:32Ready for inspection, sir
00:18:35I
00:18:39Stand easy very smart man. Very smart credit to the platoon. Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you
00:18:48Going to circumstances beyond my control I shan't be able to with you be with you on the parade this morning
00:18:56My my dear lady wife knowing that this was a very important parade sent my uniform to the cleaners
00:19:04Until that we were sitting down to lunch yesterday Saturday
00:19:09Well, I dashed around once of course, but as you know, the cleaners shut at lunchtime on Saturdays and unfortunately, I was too late
00:19:16Had I had a second uniform, of course, it would have been a different matter
00:19:20Come on, Pike fall in you're very late. Yes. I'm sorry. Mr. Mannering. I've got something for you. Oh, yes
00:19:26What's that? Well on my way home from the bank yesterday lunchtime
00:19:29I had to call in the cleaners and pick up something and I saw your uniform hanging there
00:19:33So I brought it for you
00:19:42Two and three
00:19:47Thank you very much indeed Pike is very kind of you but
00:19:51Unfortunately, it doesn't help there isn't time to change. Well, the parade's not till 10 o'clock, sir
00:19:56I mean you got 20 minutes and we don't mind waiting for you
00:20:02Oh
00:20:08This is great
00:20:17Way to go fight
00:20:23Thank You Shirley, no, no, I'm just with me. Oh, thank you, sir
00:20:27You care for a drink badger? It's my round. That's very civil of you, sir. Make it a lemonade shandy
00:20:32Not too much beer Shirley. Mustn't forget. It's the Lord's Day
00:20:37What about you oh, how very kind I'll have a double scotch, please
00:20:47If you're in the chair, I'll have a double scotch and all I don't think I extended the invitation to you
00:20:52colonel
00:20:55You
00:20:56Care for a drink the number one platoon? No, thanks square. He has lined them up for us make it a single for his reverence
00:21:03He's a martyr to it, you know
00:21:05See you
00:21:06We don't want to see him do we? Oh
00:21:09No
00:21:10surely
00:21:13Make that a single William
00:21:16Well main wedding, did you enjoy the parade?
00:21:20Yes
00:21:22Yes, indeed, sorry you chaps were behind us we couldn't see your drill
00:21:27Oh, yes, yes, we heard them late
00:21:32Yes, well unfortunately the wind was blowing away from us
00:21:36Difficulty in the word of command. Yeah, I think some of you had difficulty in marching
00:21:44Ignore him. Well, here's what I was actually
00:21:46Tell you what me next time we have a parade like this
00:21:50You must you must ask the colonel. Yeah, if your chaps can do it in bath chairs
00:21:58That's not fair captain Manor he was striding out like a two-year-old. Yes, it was
00:22:02I thought you really look lovely smart, sir
00:22:04He didn't have as much weight to carry as you captain square in not having any medals like
00:22:10When Hitler arrives, it'll be fighting efficiency accounts, but no he's waving medals in his face
00:22:15Damn sight better than waving your pension books
00:22:21Yours any day
00:22:23That a damn sight better trained and what's what's more that better lid? Yeah
00:22:28That's fighting talk. Ain't it Colonel?
00:22:30We can out shoot you out think you and run rings round because we're not stifled with old-fashioned ideas and Colonel blimp mentality
00:22:38Mr.
00:22:40Manning you will prove that or apologize
00:22:43Well, I certainly would apologize and we can't prove it till the bus arrived
00:22:46We don't have to wait for that
00:22:47You know, there's always the battle course the field firing range and we can easily think up some initiative tests damn good idea
00:22:54I accept. How about you mean wedding? You're going to accept or are you backing down?
00:23:01I want to see this here. Can I be an umpire Colonel? I mean, I'm civil defense. I won't be biased
00:23:06Will I the Virgin and I will be up house as well?
00:23:09And the fact that you've only bought me a single Scotch will have no effect on my judgment
00:23:17Yes, of course we accept all right
00:23:18All right
00:23:18Now I have only one condition to make and that is that every man who took part in the parade today
00:23:23Takes part in the test sounds fair to me Mannery. Yes. All right. I think it's very fair. Don't you Wilson?
00:23:28Yes, I do. I think it's very fair indeed. Very fair indeed. Yes
00:23:31Just means we'll lose that's all
00:23:36Oh
00:23:44My attention everyone pay attention pay attention there pay attention
00:23:51Paying attention, sir
00:23:57Well now the details of the tests against the Eastgate platoon are to hand and we can now put through the picture
00:24:03I've no doubt you'll agree that you hear quite enough of my voice
00:24:10So I'm going to ask sergeant Wilson to brief you carry on sergeant. Thank you very much, sir
00:24:15Do you think I could borrow your little stick?
00:24:18Certainly not
00:24:24First platoon commanders will start here in their platoon vans
00:24:29Tell them about the map references
00:24:31The map references. All right, it was going to
00:24:34Before the start both platoon commanders will be given a map reference
00:24:38And we have to get there and to find the place as quickly as we can using maps
00:24:43Using maps. Yes, I thought that was rather obvious. Oh, nothing is obvious sergeant. No
00:24:59Initiative test right now here we get to point B might be here where we should all be given our initiative tests
00:25:07Excuse me uncle sergeant
00:25:12In what type of form will the initiative tests people? Yes. Well, that's a better answer that question
00:25:19Naturally, we don't know the form the initiative tests will take
00:25:22Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to use our initiative would we?
00:25:26Thank you very much
00:25:28Stupid boy
00:25:34We then cross the river here and they've been double across the battle cross there
00:25:39Then we fire five rounds of ammunition at the target live ammunition
00:25:43Of course live ammunition at the target then we rush across to the tar here
00:25:48I mean climb up onto the roof and run out the platoon flag
00:25:51Which private Walker has most kindly had made for us. Oh, by the way, they came to free quick
00:25:56Oh
00:25:58three pound
00:26:00It's a bit stiff, isn't it? You were lucky. I charge these gate platoon of fiver for making this
00:26:08And the first platoon of course to run their flag out onto the pole
00:26:13Will be the winners now, is that all quite clear? Yes. Come on, sir. Mm-hmm. I foresee when we snag
00:26:20What's that? Well, we're rushing here and there and running the flag up the pole
00:26:26Godfrey'll still be trying to climb out of the van
00:26:31That's a bit of an exaggeration
00:26:34Exaggeration it's plain for all to see the man's decrepit. No, no offense
00:26:41Jars I was and my feet are rather bad, but I'm very determined. Don't you worry. Mr. Godfrey will help you
00:26:49Stone round our necks and you all know it. It's a folly to take him with us. You're fully. Yes
00:26:54Well, I think there's nothing we've done about it now Fraser. He was on the parade. Therefore he must go on the test
00:26:58Must say it's my opinion. If it one spark of loyalty to the rest of us. He'd break a leg
00:27:06Nothing personal my old friend
00:27:08I'm speaking for the good of the platoon. You understand he can't go around breaking legs at his age
00:27:13Well finger wouldn't be so serious. No, thank you. It's no good. You can still walk ways arm and a sling
00:27:18No, it has to be a leg. I'm willing to help in any way any way possible good. That's it
00:27:24The only question is how Oh sit down and don't be ridiculous
00:27:29Mr. Spitzer, yes in Victorian times gone past sir, dr
00:27:33Livingston another exploring gentleman used to be carried on a chair between two poles
00:27:38I don't mean poles the people you know, sir
00:27:43Bamboo pole sir and four strong native chaps used to carry these gentlemen in these chairs nice. Yes, we carry mr
00:27:50Godfrey in that manner who's gonna carry you
00:27:54Sit down
00:28:00As a matter of fact, I think that's a very good idea
00:28:03Don't you Wilson? Yes, I do. He's really rather quaint, right?
00:28:08Put that in hand William. Yes, I will right that disposes of the Godfrey embarrassment. No, no offense
00:28:15You know, that's what I like about this platoon. We have very agile minds
00:28:18Which enable us to surmount all our difficulties. We're going to run rings around that Eastgate mob
00:28:23And send them home with their tails between their legs
00:28:26Are you all with me?
00:28:28Right. Yeah, that's all Smith. I still think if Godfrey's well
00:28:32Shut up, Rachel
00:28:37Right now listen the picker here will read out the map reference once you will then write it down and run back to your vehicle
00:28:45The merger will then give you a signal to start
00:28:48I
00:28:53Shall only read this once so you must listen very carefully. I'm ready. Don't get on with it. Don't you start mannering?
00:29:01Here we go
00:29:04And that preference is

00:30:27Are you sure you're in the right way Fraser? Of course?
00:30:30If you think you'd do any better, you're probably welcome to try
00:30:33Come on, you're any faster Jones. We're doing 28 miles an hour. What more do you want?
00:30:39What is it Godfrey do you think I might be excused certainly not

00:31:13I
00:31:23Stay where you are
00:31:25I

00:31:43I want the medics get the medics the medics Godfrey go and get Godfrey. I'm not say so God. It's perfectly simple
00:31:49Oh

00:34:03I
00:34:12Excuse me, mr. Manning. Yes, what is it? Mike Jones has turned yellow get some more blankets on it more blankets, right?
00:34:18Don't you think we ought to get him to a doctor sir? No, no
00:34:20No, we'd lose the race if we did that
00:34:22So he said he's had these attacks before the wear off coming up to the tunnel very soon. No, sir
00:34:27Oh sweet. What is it?
00:34:29Just pass a dear little cotton sale with a fat fruit and roses round the door just like Snow White's
00:34:34Never mind go forget the cotton. Just keep your eye on the road. All right. All right. Yes
00:34:38Excuse me. Mr. Manning. Yeah, mr. Jones isn't yellow anymore. Good. No, he's turned purple
00:34:45Like a beetroot well get some more blankets on it
00:34:49Left
00:34:57Where's all that steam coming from do you think the end is overheating sir? Not coming from the engine
00:35:03What's going on back there? Mr. Jones is steaming sir steaming
00:35:08Condensation is running down the wall best thing for him. I was sweating out
00:35:12Give me plenty of time. Oh, well, there's a bit of tonic wine. He's done half that already
00:35:16Well, give him the other half. This is an emergency

00:36:44Oh
00:37:03What do you think you're doing it's a good job you stopped or you'd have been disqualified
00:37:07It is a good job. I stopped otherwise I'd have run over you
00:37:09You were obstructing captain square let him all of this bump in a boring and you'll be out of the race mate
00:37:14This isn't fair Vic. It's no good appealing to his reverence after that foul language. You use that now
00:37:19I didn't use any foul language. Oh, yes, you did
00:37:22I heard it quite plainly, but fortunately the noise of the engine stopped it reaching his reverence is his
00:37:27They get awfully far ahead uncle Arthur. Couldn't we continue this conversation some other time? I'm making a protest Wilson
00:37:34Not a care pick up. I'm sorry. Mr. Mallory. We're only here as a pious to see fair play drive out. Mr. Hodges

00:38:31Sergeant get in they can't be far away
00:38:53I

00:40:23We'll follow them

00:41:53Push everybody in the back
00:42:23I

00:44:08Right pay attention, please pay attention
00:44:10And now this is your first initiative test
00:44:14Are you listening mannering? Just read it out. That's all you've got to do
00:44:17Shit charger in Wilson. You're responsible for it. Why should I be held responsible for?
00:44:31Over here the merger as old of 24 balloons
00:44:35I
00:44:37Say go he will release all 24 balloons
00:44:41You will then fix bennett's and you will burst each and every one of those balloons before moving on to your next objective
00:44:49Right go
00:44:51Fix Bennett and charge
00:45:04Don't
00:45:12Are you a member of this patrol? Oh, yes. I suppose that burst each blasted balloon
00:45:31Come on boys
00:45:34Resistance
00:45:46Let's go
00:46:04Oh
00:46:28No, it's not what about that one
00:46:35Hurry up
00:46:37Finished he's gonna win. I knew he would and you're not leaving till you got that one. I'll get him. Sure. Leave it to me Jones

00:46:57Do you with a B in it
00:47:05I
00:47:12Attention you as well. Now. This tank here is full of feathers
00:47:16Now you got to take them feathers and put them in in barrels over there
00:47:23Get ready
00:47:34You are mr. Barry like it
00:47:46For your captain stuff some feathers inside your shootings
00:47:56Spare me for a moment
00:48:05You've had some dumb silly idea
00:48:23Everywhere mr. Mannery, yes, right. No, don't wait
00:48:34If I may say so sir, this isn't working awfully. Well, have you any better suggestions? Mr. Mannery?
00:48:45That's a very good idea yes, we'll use trousers and type the legs
00:48:50Take your trousers
00:48:55Because you're to set an example
00:49:04Oh
00:49:06Why don't we take the barrels over to the tank fill the barrels there?
00:49:36Then take the barrels back there. Now look like one more stupid suggestion from you
00:49:46Right, right, mr. Hodges
00:49:49Our squares mob getting on they're still carrying the feathers by hand
00:49:53Marrieds not to win by miles at this rate. Well, I will soon say about that
00:49:57Oh

00:50:40Please mr. Manning, please get in the other boat
00:50:57Exciting
00:51:18Now come on man in you get
00:51:20Don't get in that boat captain square. I'll pull the plug out you
00:51:24Oh
00:51:26Manry's lot for winning. I try to stop them. What I did it for you sir. Did it for you, sir?
00:51:31Look, there's another boat on that bank over there row over in that dinghy and get it. Oh, yes. Oh, yes
00:51:37Of course, sir. Certainly sir sergeant. Where are you? Where are you sergeant?
00:51:43Ah, there you are, what have you been doing I took the plug out of that dinghy sir
00:51:47I'm afraid it doesn't
00:52:12Let's go boys
00:52:17Oh
00:52:47A few minutes ago
00:53:17No
00:53:20Sign of captain square sir looks as if we won Wilson when you men are finished mannering
00:53:24All you have to do is to run to the top of the tower and hold your flag out. Thank you, sir
00:53:30Why you're shaking like that Jones, hmm, I'll get another take a malaria. Have you know, sir?
00:53:34Oh, it's far like this. That's why I prefer the bayonet
00:53:40Finished having a flag wasn't that what flag the platoon flag, of course, but you didn't say anything about bringing a flag
00:53:47Distinctly remember telling you to bring the flag
00:53:51Well done
00:53:59Well off you go then yes, don't think you stay here the rest of you follow me
00:54:16I
00:54:46Don't know how to do that Mike. Yes, mr. Manning. There's supposed to be a loop in the rope
00:54:52Take the toggle on the flag. This is a loop. It must be here somewhere. It's the man in trouble with you boy
00:54:55No, drive. It's the mannering. Ah, here we are. Here's a loop
00:54:59You pull the loop out of the pulley at the end
00:55:04Any more insubordination like that for you and I shall complain personally to your mother
00:55:09Supposed to fly the flag. Well, we can't without pulling the pole in
00:55:16Shing out and then under the shin back
00:55:33Don't worry about me. Mr. Manning. I'm as agile as a monkey. I'm
00:55:39The man's a fool damn brave one. It's my opinion. It doesn't just to create an impression. Mr. Manning
00:55:46Mr. Manning, yes, I've reached the end. What should I do?
00:55:52Thread the rope through the pulley
00:55:57The rope that this flag is attached to where is it? It's here
00:56:05Mr. Manning throw it to me
00:56:08I
00:56:13Don't need a blanket. I'm not cold
00:56:18Cold if I fall will I you will when you hit the ground?
00:56:29Here comes
00:56:32Mr. Manning, can you throw it any nearer whatever you're trying to do?
00:56:37Let me have a try
00:56:39Did he miss this? Yes, silly old twit
00:56:57Mr. Manning, yes, I think that wine's going to me and everything's going sideways
00:57:03I
00:57:33Mr. Manor in mr. Manor in
00:58:03Oh, mr. Manning you saved my life again you always doing that who you deserve a kiss for that
00:58:13It's starting again
00:58:33Bad luck main wedding you've lost we were here first. Ah, but you didn't get your flag out
00:58:37Did you and it's the flag the counts? It's number one platoons flag
00:58:41Manorings one. I shall make a formal protest about this. I tell you we were here first. I've it
00:58:47It's our flag. That's flying
00:58:50You blithering idiot you've flown their flag
00:58:53I
00:59:17Wouldn't do that if I were you mr. Wilson, wait a minute
00:59:24Oh, that's our flag, that's our flag. Ah, yes
00:59:34You see what you see you see what happened was that I made a flag for us and it wasn't quite up the standard
00:59:39So I made another one and I must have got the other one mixed up with their platoons flag. Oh
00:59:46What a terrible mistake to have made
00:59:50Walker I don't believe one word you've said
00:59:52No, I didn't think you would
00:59:54Anyway, it was an initiative and it is to use this initiative, sir
00:59:57Yeah, now I think you all know me well enough to understand that I don't approve of this whole thing
01:00:00I think you behave very badly in this matter. Yes. Yes, sir
01:00:02And if any of you are there's a party to this I want you to know that you've incurred my severe despair. Yes
01:00:11I'm damn glad we won
01:00:22I don't know about you all but I
01:00:24Massively needed to see this episode and I needed a good laugh
01:00:28Like I I was feeling like I need some good laughs today and dad's army did not disappoint. Don't go anywhere
01:00:34We're gonna talk about it. Thank you so much for hanging out. Appreciate y'all
01:00:37Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know about you all but man
01:00:40I needed some great laughs and good laughs and this episode long one, which we loved and you know from start to finish
01:00:48I felt like I was just glued to my chair as the episode went on and on and on
01:00:53I just felt that it just got progressively funnier and funnier and funnier one thing. This show does very well
01:00:59With help from Jonesy a lot of times is this show has a lot of great physical comedy. I think the warden as well
01:01:07delivered quite quite the
01:01:09You know quite the funny moments that we knew he can't really swim. Hey karma caught up to him a little bit
01:01:15So warden was exceptional on this episode, you know, they said these guys said they weren't gonna be biased and shit, but man
01:01:23Warden freaking lied man that that freaking bastard there man, you know great moments there with him in the boat
01:01:29I love that, you know Wilson
01:01:34essentially
01:01:35Pushed him out of the you know out of the vehicle because he was close to the vehicle. He went off that bridge. Oh
01:01:42God man, then he had a kind of moment of chicken going on. But yeah, it started off really good
01:01:48You know when you find out essentially you got Colonel Square coming in here
01:01:52Jonesy, you know rallying the troops to be in position and
01:01:58Colonel wants to see Mannery so he goes into the office and you got freaking Wilson there because you know
01:02:04The the missus called essentially and yeah, he had a book it, you know, he had to book it quick
01:02:09So it's always interesting
01:02:12You know how forward he's like Elizabeth, you know, so you definitely can feel that relationship is not you know
01:02:18Not the most strongest he should even we can go back to where you know, he fancied that other lady
01:02:23You know what? I mean? He felt like some some love there. So sometimes in some marriages the the love is not always there but
01:02:31Wilson what you guys think about Wilson, you know taking that taking that letter man undermining my boy there
01:02:37I don't know but it definitely led to some insane
01:02:42moments there because
01:02:44He's right
01:02:46well as far as people were gonna get
01:02:48Not offended but would be ups, you know sad, you know
01:02:52cuz they don't have quite the the medals that everyone else and shit look at Jonesy's medals and was on I
01:02:58Think was going on and on and on that, you know, it was so funny
01:03:01You know, he was talking going about going on and on and shit. He's doing the same shit
01:03:05so great moments by Jonesy, obviously, he's one of the best characters we got on the show and
01:03:11You know, you see Godfrey's medals. Everybody's having medals. I think Pike's medals were absolutely funny
01:03:17You know, that was a great moment. His mom came through, you know telling him so to put some stuff
01:03:23you know and
01:03:26Him explaining each one which is it just got funnier and funnier as it goes. So love Pike on this one
01:03:33For a guy that's often called a stupid boy, you know, he'd come he'd come through in the clutch. He had some good ideas
01:03:38It's not the first time he's had some good ideas for manner and it's like, you know, what?
01:03:44Bro, you know, you know not a bad idea. Ah, what else did we enjoy on this man?
01:03:50the verger
01:03:52The verger verger, you know me
01:03:54I always say the name wrong but on him and the vicar having me dying him holding on
01:03:59Hey, you know to the warden, can I can I hold on and shit and he's holding on for dear life the second time
01:04:05you know the warden is like get the hell off me man, but this kind of
01:04:10Games man was so entertaining to see the drive on man. It just felt like some wacky-ass races
01:04:16These guys going in circles going left and right and left and right back up back
01:04:20I'm no you back up and then these guys going through this wacky adventure here was a sight to see but damn man
01:04:26I felt bad for my boy
01:04:29Jolteon this one for a second, you know, he catches something. He got some malaria. So he's going like, you know, everybody's
01:04:36Get up itself. So brilliant on him. God for giving him the the tonic the drink, you know the liquor
01:04:43And you know him him getting essentially
01:04:47More drunk so nice to see a drunk side of him there. That was real cool
01:04:51Oh, you know what part we really enjoyed too when?
01:04:55They were essentially in the bar and
01:04:58Manoring is buying drinks and everybody's like, you know what? Yeah, I'll take some tea
01:05:02So, you know when somebody's spending, you know, everybody's trying to get some friggin even, you know, the warden is like I want it
01:05:08Oh, yeah, I'll take something to you. So I didn't ask you. I'm not offering you you any you know, you prick essentially
01:05:15and then when the verger
01:05:17Told him yeah, just take you know, take it down on now. She was this guy's old drunk
01:05:22The freakin vicar was like, oh, I'm not gonna forget that, you know, I'm not gonna hold it, you know
01:05:27I'm not gonna forget you ain't gonna forget that shit. So this episode was stellar
01:05:32Fantastic phenomenal, you know can't stress it enough these guys can act
01:05:36Godfrey asking left and right again
01:05:38Can I be excused and shit then he takes that moment where they finally stop because you know
01:05:43Jonesy's having that his shenanigans, you know the malaria, you know a crazy moment there for him
01:05:48Which led to more wackiness so, you know when he's shooting the gun, he's shaking up. This is how I shoot
01:05:54So that was crazy and you knew he was gonna go on top of that pole you had that feeling I
01:06:00Thought that you know, he was gonna just end up being hanging on the pot on the pole
01:06:05That was one of the things I was gonna do but who knew that
01:06:09You know Walker was gonna come through in the clutch there, you know having both
01:06:14Saving a day, so he's essentially saved the day. He's always he's pretty clever on his feet, too
01:06:18You know, he likes to put the cigarette, you know on the where the bayonet is gonna go
01:06:24And he was popping them balloons. So a lot of cool things. I gotta say
01:06:29Mattering shooting that last one was was not was that not impressive man. That shit was impressive as hell
01:06:35I think there was some
01:06:37term that
01:06:40Mr. Mannering did about some sort of a
01:06:43man, there was a I forgot I forgot the word, but
01:06:48He was describing some sort of I don't know. It was like a military thing
01:06:52Man, I I didn't I didn't know what what he was referring to and I think Pike
01:06:58Said something about one lady's name. So please fill me in if you can there, you know, obviously we can never get everything but man
01:07:06what
01:07:07Absolutely stellar episode. This was a very strong episode for me
01:07:11I mean the laughs just man once they started getting into motion with the the rides
01:07:16You know get driving in the cars man. It just picked up the sheet business, too
01:07:20He's like, I'll don't ever get around, you know, they're gonna be stuck here too. Now. They went around
01:07:24He's like, oh man and Mannering was really living on this episode man. He was really getting angry
01:07:30So when he's pissed, I love it and Wilson always looked like he's just daydreaming man
01:07:36Every time anybody's having a conversation. He's just repeating or he's in La La Land
01:07:41So we always love that and we always love when he's like, do you think that's why sir?
01:07:45It's just always undermining in La La Land. I mean god damn. This was such a crazy cool episode
01:07:52Hopefully you guys enjoyed it. I know it was a longer episode and we're always all for longer episodes
