00:00Hello my name is Tyler and I'm the owner of Refilltree on Sharrowvale Road. We first moved here back in 2013 in May we opened.
00:10We moved down here because it was a fantastic area in terms of the location and where it is in Sheffield,
00:16but also there's loads of brilliant up and coming independent shops up and down here as well and we wanted to be part of that.
00:22It's gone really well so far, we're obviously trying to keep building as much as we can.
00:27We've added a lot more things as well that you can come down and refill, but yeah it's an honour to be here and be a part of such a great street.
00:42My name's Emily and my business is Back in the Day and I'm inside the Hummingbird Collective which is a collective of small businesses.
00:50There's about 16 of us now in the shop and we've not been open long but it's been great so far and the whole community seems to really love it.
00:59The community of the other shops, that's like the cafes, the hardware, the small businesses, everyone's just so lovely and always come together to help each other and promote each other really.
01:21I'm Helen, the Assistant Manager of Innovate Sheffield. The reason I think we chose to move here, specifically to Sharrow Vale, is because it's got very easy access to the Peak District.
01:45You can go straight up through Encliff Park and out into the Peaks in about 15 minutes.
01:50With us being a trail running brand, focused on trail shoes, that's obviously our exact target market there, so all you need to do is walk out of the shop five minutes out onto the terrain that our product is designed for.
02:03Sharrow Vale itself is great, there's a lot of buzz around here, a lot of restaurants, a lot of students live here as well so it's got quite a fresh vibe I guess.
02:13Being on Sharrow Vale Road there's plenty of really good cafes and places to get yourself a bite to eat, so just down there we've got Pom, that's a big, big pink shop just down there.
02:28Obviously you can get some really nice vegan or vegetarian cakes, pastries and coffee.
02:33We've got Porter Pizza who's right next to us, obviously do the best pizzas up and down this road and possibly in Sheffield.
02:42We've got a bit further down we've got Made by John T's which also again follows that same sort of theme and if you want to obviously surprise one of your loved ones you've got some really nice florists just up the road a little bit there.
02:55So yeah, lots of great things up and down the street but lots of variety as well.
03:00We're seeing more and more people coming down to Sharrow Vale and it's a mixture of people that live locally and people that are just visiting Sheffield say for the day or visiting family and they've just come either to the cafes and just have a browse really.
03:23So what's great about Dyson Place is it's a really great oasis in this part of Sheffield, it's car free so the air's a bit nicer here, it's a great place to come and eat and drink and maybe check out some smaller or local businesses that we have here.
