Sheffield Skincare Company opens its new shop in the city

00:00Megan Beardsmore has just opened a new branch of the Sheffield Skin Care Company in Crookes.

00:08Megan, can you tell me please about the new shop and how you've come to open here?

00:13Yeah, so we opened the new shop officially last Friday.

00:16We had a really nice opening evening with lots of new customers and lots of old customers returning as well.

00:21So I used to be in Crookes a few years ago.

00:23Unfortunately, we had to leave during the financial crisis, but we're back again and we're really glad to be back here now.

00:29So I've been very, very fortunate that my partner owns the tattoo studio up here and the front space was just unused really.

00:36He wasn't using it for any purposes.

00:38So he said, why don't you set up here and you use it and we can sort of collaborate together and bring the shop back to the community again.

00:46And what sort of things do you sell here?

00:49Everything that we sell is completely natural.

00:52That's one thing we've always done with Sheffield Skin Care Company is provide natural products with natural ingredients.

00:58Also, we're as plastic free as we possibly can be.

01:01So everything comes in aluminium tins, glass bottles and cardboard and things like that.

01:07And we also have a really good return scheme.

01:09So if you've got any empty bottles, glasses, jars, you can bring them back to us and we'll give you a discount on your next order.

01:16And we also do a lot of refills as well.

01:18So our sort of liquid, liquid soap, salts and things like that.

01:21If you bring your empty bottles in, we can refill those for you.

01:24And you get looking at a 30% reduction for refilling rather than starting from scratch again.
