00:47Was On The Side Of The Kuffar Of The Enemy Of The Quraish, Those Who Had Usurped The
00:53Wealth Of The Muslimin. So Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed At That Time, He Was Not A Muslim. He Looked
01:00At The Archers And He Saw That These People Have Left Their Positions. So Immediately
01:04He Took A Group Of Men And He Went Back And Swiped The Muslimin By Sandwiching Them Between
01:09The Enemy. And This Is When The Muslim Suffered A Great Loss At The Hands Of Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed.
01:14May Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Forgive Us All And May Allah Grant Us A Lesson Because
01:19The People Had Not Obeyed The Instruction Of Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasalam. So Khalid
01:23Ibn Al-Waleed Was Known As The Hero Of Uhud From The Quraishi Or From The Quraishi Perspective,
01:30From The Perspective Of The Kuffar Of Mecca. Now After That Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Came For
01:37The Battle Of The Trench, You Know The Battle Of The Trench That Took Place A Year And A
01:41Half Later. What He Did Is He Was Responsible For Executing Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe
01:47Wasalam, He Was Given The Task. You Need To Watch For Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasalam
01:51And Get Rid Of Him. So As He Went He Tried Here And There But You Know, There Was A Trench
01:56That Was Dug And He Just Could Not Get To Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasalam. It Is
01:59Reported That As He Tried To Get There By Night, Usaid Ibn Hudair R.A. Had Immediately
02:06Noticed And Alerted Everyone And The Plan Was Foiled. So Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed R.A.
02:13Went Back To Mecca With Those Who Had Lost In The Battle. It Didn'T Really Take Place
02:17Because Obviously The Wind Had Come And I'M Sure We Would Know The Battle Of The Trench.
02:21The Kuffar Was Sent Back To Mecca Miraculously By Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala.
02:26So Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed R.A. At The Time Of Hudaybiyah, When The Muslimin Had Come
02:31Out Without Any Weapons In Order To Make Umrah, The Pilgrimage In Mecca, The Kuffar
02:36Of Mecca Stopped Them. They Had Sent Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed With 200 Men To Go And Attack
02:42The Muslims. But When He Went, He Saw That They Were Praying, They Were Praying And
02:47He Thought To Himself, Okay, I'Ve Got 200 Men.
02:50Whilst These People Go To Their Prostration, I Will Swipe At Them. But He Was Shocked
02:56That Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasalam, When He Said Allahu Akbar And Everyone Went
02:59To Sujood, Half Of Them Went To Sajdah And The Other Half Stayed Up. And Then When
03:04He Said Allahu Akbar, Half Of Them Came Up And Half Of Them Went Down And He Was
03:09Saying What Is This All About? That Was Salatul Khawf, Specific Salah Prescribed
03:14At A Time Of War. When Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasalam Was Given This Gift Because
03:19Allah Says That These People Had Intended For You To All Be In Prostration At
03:25Once So They Could Swipe At You.
03:27So Some Of You Go Down And Some Of You Stay Up. When Some Come Up, Some Will Go
03:31Down And So On.
03:32It'S A Beautiful Salah And It Was A Gift Of Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala.
03:35So That Is The Time Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Radhiallahu Anhu, In His Heart, The First
03:41Light Had Entered.
03:42He Says Ar-Rajulu Mamnoo, That Means This Man Muhammad We Will Never Be Able To Harm
03:48Him, Impossible.
03:50I Am A Man.
03:50I Have Mastered The Military Arts Completely.
03:54I Cannot Even Get Close To Him For Some Reason.
03:57And So In His Heart, He Said This Man Is Going To Lead And He'S Going To Be The
04:02Winner And He'S Going To Be Victorious.
04:03This Is What Khalid Tells Us Later, Radhiallahu Anhu.
04:07So After Hudaybiyah, He Went Back And He Received The Letter From His Brother
04:12Al-Walid Ibn Al-Walid And The Letter Said, Oh My Beloved Brother Khalid,
04:17I Always Know You To Be A Very Intelligent Person And As Intelligent As
04:23You Are, It Cannot Escape You That Islam Is Correct.
04:28With That Mind Of Yours, You Are Such A Powerful Person In Intellect.
04:32The Prophet Has Been Asking About You Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam.
04:36He Told Me Where Is Khalid?
04:37Where Is Khalid?
04:39And I Told Him Inshallah Allah Will Bring Him Along.
04:42He Says The Prophet Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam Says A Man Like Khalid
04:46Who Is So Intelligent.
04:48Anyone Who Is Absolutely Intelligent Will Know That Islam Is Correct.
04:53If They Are Unbiased, They Will Know That What The Muslims Are Calling To And
04:57What They Are Worshipping Is Actually Correct.
05:00They Are Calling Towards Worshipping One Maker, The Maker Alone And Doing
05:04Good All Your Life.
05:05And This Is What Is Correct.
05:07So Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Read The Letter And He Was Touched By It Because
05:12Now One Thing Had Happened At Hudaybiyah And After Hudaybiyah.
05:16This Was The Second Thing.
05:17The Third Thing He Slept That Night And He Saw A Dream.
05:21The Dream Of Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Radhiallahu Anhu, He Says I Saw Myself
05:25On A Piece Of Land That Was Dry And Very Very Narrow.
05:29And Then I Saw That I Was Traveling To Another Beautiful Green Piece
05:33Of Land, Which Was Very Broad.
05:35And He Said When I Got Up, I Knew It Means Go To Medina Munawwara And
05:39That Is Islam And Allah Has Chosen Islam For You.
05:43So He Decided To Speak To His Friends.
05:44Who Were His Friends?
05:45Now It Was Quite Tricky To Talk To Them Because They All Hated Islam.
05:49The First One He Had A Friend And This Friend Was Quite Close To Him,
05:52Safwan Ibn Umayyah.
05:54He Tells Safwan, Oh Safwan, What Do You Think Of Muhammad Salallahu
05:57Wa'Ta'Ala, I'Ve Tried So Much The Man You Cannot Get Close To
06:00Him. I Believe He'S Going To Win One Day And He'S Going To
06:03Overtake Everyone, The Arabs And The Non-Arabs And I Think It'S
06:07About Time We Went.
06:09So Safwan Says No Ways, Never.
06:11Are You Crazy?
06:12What Are You Talking About?
06:13And So He Decided, Okay.
06:15He Told Safwan, Okay, Forget What I Said.
06:16It'S Okay.
06:16Just Forget About It.
06:17And He Went To Ikrimah, The Son Of Abu Jahl And Told Him Exactly
06:21The Same Thing And Ikrimah Responded In The Same Way, The Son Of
06:24Abu Jahl.
06:25He Says No Ways.
06:26Are You Crazy?
06:26He Says, Okay, Forget About It.
06:28Then He Went To A Third Friend Of His By The Name Of Uthman Ibn
06:31Abi Talha, A Friend Of Khalid Ibn Al-Walid.
06:35So When Khalid Told Him, Ibn Al-Walid That Let'S Do This.
06:37Let'S Go To Medina.
06:38I'M Really Feeling To Go Because Of These Reasons.
06:41He Said, Okay, I'M Coming With You.
06:43Let'S Go.
06:43Subhanallah, Amazing.
06:46So Quietly The Two Of Them Prepared Everything And They Decided
06:49To Do Hijrah Without Anyone Knowing.
06:51They Went And On The Way As They Are Going, They Saw One Of The
06:55Powerful Men Of Quraysh By The Name Of Amr Ibn Al-As, The Man
06:59Who Later Conquered Egypt, Amr Ibn Al-As, He Was One Of Those
07:02Who Went To Najashi, If You Recall On Behalf Of Quraysh And
07:06He Was Speaking About Jafar Ibn Abi Talib.
07:08That Was A Man, Inshallah.
07:09We Will Talk About Him In A Few Days Time.
07:12But Khalid Ibn Al-Walid And This Man Uthman Ibn Talha, They
07:16Met Him And They Asked Him, Oh Amr, Where Are You Going?
07:19Or He Asked Them, Where Are You Guys Going?
07:22So They Said, No, We Want To Know From You.
07:25So Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Radhiallahu Anhu Was Brave Enough.
07:28He Said, You Know What?
07:29We Are Going To Accept Islam And We Going To Medina.
07:31He Said Guess What?
07:33I'M Going To Do Exactly The Same Thing, Subhanallah.
07:36They Arrived In Al-Medina Al-Munawwara, The Leaders Of Quraysh,
07:39Their Children Now Are Here And They Came And As They Were
07:42Entering Medina, Al-Walid Ibn Al-Walid Sees His Brother And
07:46Rushes To Him.
07:47He Says Wallahi The Messenger Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam
07:50Already Informed Us That You Are On Your Way.
07:53Imagine A Miracle Of Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam, Already
07:56Informed His Companions That Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Is On His
07:59Way To Come Here, Subhanallah.
08:01He Says Amazingly, Let'S Go The Messenger Is Waiting For
08:05You Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam.
08:07So The Three Of Them Walk Into The Presence Of Muhammad
08:09Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam And The Greeting Itself Spoke
08:12A Mountain.
08:13He Says Assalamu Alaika Ya Rasulallah, May Peace Be Upon
08:17You O Messenger Of Allah.
08:19This Was Khalid Ibn Al-Walid, The Man Whom They All Wanted
08:22To Kill In Uhud Because Of How Many Muslims He Killed.
08:27And Yet Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Greets Him As Rasulullah And
08:30Amr Ibn Al-As And Uthman Ibn Talha And Rasulullah Sallallahu
08:34Alaihe Wasallam Says Look, This Is Quraysh.
08:36It Has Brought To You Its Liver, Meaning It Has Now Thrown
08:40Out To You The Most Important Part Of Its Organs.
08:44Amazing And So Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Says I Declared The
08:48Shahada In Front Of Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam,
08:50But There Was A Problem That I Had In My Heart.
08:52What Was It?
08:53I Felt That I Killed So Many Muslims And Now Look At What'S
08:56Going On.
08:57I Caused So Much Harm Against Islam.
08:59So He Said I Looked At Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam
09:01And I Said O Messenger, Please Pray For Me.
09:04I Have Caused So Much Harm Against The Muslimin.
09:07What Will Happen To Me?
09:08May Allah Forgive Me.
09:09That Is When Muhammad Says O Khalid, I Want To Inform You
09:12That Islam Deletes The Sins That Were Committed Prior To
09:16It. So It Doesn'T Delete All Your Deeds.
09:19It Only Deletes Your Sins.
09:21Then He Says O Messenger, I Pledge My Allegiance To You.
09:24There It Is.
09:25Here You Are.
09:26I Am Khalid Ibn Al-Walid And I'Ve Come To You.
09:28Here We Are, Subhanallah.
09:29So The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam Made A Dua For
09:31Him. He Says O Messenger For Every Harm That I'Ve Caused
09:35Islam, Pray For Me.
09:36The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam Says O Allah Forgive
09:39Khalid For Everything That He Has Done Against Islam,
09:42Subhanallah.
09:43This Was The Acceptance Of Islam Of Khalid Ibn Al-Walid
09:46Radhiallahu Anhu.
09:48He Took Part In The Battle Of Mu'tah Immediately After That
09:52And Remember We Spoke About How There Were Three Leaders
09:55Appointed By Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam, Zaid Ibn Harithah,
09:59Ja'far Ibn Abi Talib And Abdullah Ibn Rawaha Radhiallahu
10:02Anhum And Prophet Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam Said They Will
10:06Lead One After The Other.
10:07All Three Of Them Lost Their Lives.
10:09Then Thabit Ibn Arqam Went And Took The Flag, The Flag Of
10:13Leadership And He Gave It To Khalid Ibn Al-Walid And Khalid
10:16Ibn Al-Walid Was A New Muslim And He Said No Ways.
10:19I'M Not Going To Take This.
10:20You Have Actually Taken Part In Badr O Thabit Ibn Arqam.
10:24I Am Not From Amongst Those.
10:26You'D Rather Carry It.
10:27So Thabit Ibn Arqam Looks At The Rest Of The Companions On
10:30That Day Of Mu'tah And He Says Do You Agree That Khalid Is
10:34The Warrior From Amongst Us Who Knows Best How To Tackle
10:38The Enemy And He Shall Lead Us And They All Agreed.
10:41So That Is When Khalid Took It And The Battle Changed Its
10:43Course And They Came Back To Medina, Subhanallah Having
10:46Achieved Quite A Bit In Mu'tah, May Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala
10:49Grant Them All Goodness And Grant Us Too A Lot Of Goodness.
10:52So This Was The Man Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Every Single Army
10:57He Was In, He Won His Battle Without Exception, Subhanallah
11:01So Much So That Today The Military Schools Of The West
11:04They Study The Life Of Khalid Ibn Al-Walid.
11:07There Are So Many Movies That You Will Find That Are After
11:11Khalid Ibn Al-Walid R.A. And His Life That Are Studied
11:15Very Carefully By Military Schools Of The Non-Muslims And
11:18The Muslims Across The Globe.
11:20He Was An Intelligent Man, Extremely Intelligent Khalid Ibn Al-Walid R.A.
11:26So At The Time Of The Victory Of Makkah, He Was The Only Man
11:30Who Was The Newest In Accepting Islam Who Was Put As One
11:34Of The Leaders Of The Army Of The Muslimin Because Muhammad
11:37Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam Was There Himself, Abu Ubaid Amir
11:40Ibn Al-Jarrah Was Put In The Front As Zubair Ibn Al-Awwam
11:43Was To The Right Side And Guess Who Was On The Left? Khalid
11:46Ibn Al-Walid Ibn Al-Mughirah, A Child Of Quraysh Who Had Just
11:50Come, He Was Going Back To Quraysh As Victorious And He
11:53Had Told Those Youngsters Already That Muhammad Salallahu
11:56Alaihe Wasalam Is Going To Win, He'S Going To Overtake And
11:59He'S Going To Rule Everywhere Here.
12:01He Used To Tell Them At That Stage That You Know What? It
12:04Is An Honor For Us To Accept Muhammad.
12:06He'S A Part Of Quraysh.
12:07Why Are We Jealous Of Him?
12:09He'S One Of Us.
12:10He Took Part In A So Many Battles That People Began To Say
12:13Khalid Is The Warrior, Khalid Is The Man. Omar Ibn Al-Khattab
12:16Radiallahu Anhu Came In And Said I Don'T Like The Way People
12:19Are Now Thinking That Khalid Is The Big Magician Who Wins
12:21All The Wars.
12:22So Oh Abu Ubaidah, He Wrote Him A Letter And Said Abu Ubaidah
12:26Amir Ibn Al-Jarrah Go And Tell Khalid That He Must Come Back
12:29To Medina, No More Taking Part In The War As A Leader.
12:32He'S Just A Normal Muslim And You Go And Overtake.
12:35So Abu Ubaidah Amir Ibn Al-Jarrah, If You Recall A Few Days
12:38Ago, We Said He Took The Letter To Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed
12:40Radiallahu Anhu And He Gave The Letter After The War Was
12:43Over, Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Immediately Said No Problem.
12:46I'M Going Back To Medina Munawwara.
12:48So Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Said I Did Not Remove Khalid Because
12:51I Had A Problem With Him, But I Am Removed Him Because People
12:55Started Believing That It Is Him And We Believe It Is Allah.
13:00So This Is Why There Were Others Who Were Placed In The Place
13:02Of Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Radiallahu Anhu At One Stage And
13:06This Is Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed On His Deathbed Four Years
13:10Later, Just Four Years After Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Radiallahu
13:13Anhu Had Removed Him, He Was On His Deathbed And He Says
13:16Wallahi There Is Not A Single Spot On My Body, Not A Single
13:21Spot On My Body That Does Not Have Some Form Of Wound On
13:24It. My Entire Body Has Wounds All Over My Face, My Head And
13:28My Entire Body And Yet I Am Dying On A Bed And Not On The
13:33Battlefield. So Those Who Are Cowards Must Learn A Lesson
13:36From Me That Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala If He Has Written
13:40Death For You, You Will Die No Matter Where It Is.
13:42I Took Part In So Many Of The Battles But Allah Decided You
13:46Will Die In The Way That The Camel Dies.
13:50These Are His Words.
13:50Then He Says Subhanallah, Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Was Known As
13:55Saifullah, The Prophet Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam When He
13:58Was Sitting In Medina During The Battle Of Mu'tah, We Made
14:01Mention Of It The Other Day When We Said That He'S The Prophet
14:04Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam Was Given The Knowledge Of The Unseen
14:07On That Day To Be Able To See That Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Has
14:12Now Taken Over The Leadership Of The Army In Mu'tah And He
14:15Says, He Says Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam
14:21Said A Sword From Amongst The Swords Of Allah Has Taken Over
14:24The Reins Of The Muslims.
14:26So Imagine If Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Radiallahu Anhu Was Killed
14:30In The Battlefield, People Would Say The Sword Of Allah Is
14:32Broken. So Allah'S Choice Was That He Must Not Be Killed In
14:36The Battlefield.
14:37He Was On His Bed.
14:38He Died A Natural Normal Death.
14:40May Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Grant Us A Lesson.
14:42This Was Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed, He Passed Away In Homs And He
14:46Is Buried In Homs Which Is In Syria.
14:48May Allah Grant Us Peace In Syria, In Iraq, In Afghanistan,
14:51In All The Countries In Gaza And In Everywhere Else.
14:54May Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Grant Us Peace And Goodness.
14:58My Brothers And Sisters,
14:59I End With Something Important. Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Radiallahu
15:02Anhu On His Deathbed Made The Most Famous Statement That We
15:05Know About Him.
15:06He Says I Was Busy In The Battlefield.
15:08I Was Unable To Learn Much About The Quran, Subhanallah.
15:12But I Have No Regrets.
15:14Allah Has Chosen Me To Fulfill A Part Of Islam.
15:17I Have To Stop There.
15:18It Is The Most Important Lesson We Learn. Not Every One Of Us
15:22Will Be Masters In The Quran.
15:23Not Every One Of Us Will Be Professionals In Islamic Knowledge.
15:27We Have From Amongst Us Doctors, Accountants.
15:30We Have Men Of Different Disciplines And Women Whom We Need
15:34In Our Society And Community.
15:36We Do Not Underestimate The Value Of One Another.
15:39We Should Never Think I'M The Only Muslim Who'S Serving Islam.
15:43No Matter Who You Are And What You Have, You May Serve Islam
15:46Either Through Your Profession, Through Your Wealth, Through
15:49Your Knowledge Or Through A Combination Of More Than One Of
15:52Those Things.
