ALLAH IS ONE

00:00In this video, we will share with you the amazing story of Dr. Daniel McBride, an American
00:05neuroscientist who reverted to Islam after deeply studying the Quran where he found many
00:10verses that align with modern neuroscience.
00:13This was enough to prove to him that this book was from a divine power, because no man
00:18in the 7th century could be able to come up with such accurate information about scientific
00:23phenomena which were only discovered very recently after extensive research using modern
00:28cutting-edge technology.
00:30There's no way we knew that 1,500 years ago.
00:33It just made sense.
00:34The Quran, even in the English translation, just completely made sense to me.
00:39The Quran just provided me with a cleaner option of all those stories, and then it added
00:45to it.
00:46Dr. McBride, now known as Abdur-Rahman, has been a physical educational teacher and neurologist.
00:52He was born and raised in a Catholic family and graduated in a Catholic high school.
00:56Being exposed to religion so often led him naturally become curious about God, the creation
01:02and beliefs.
01:03All he knew and believed was that there is one creator that holds power over all.
01:08His primary concern then was how he could worship the creator the right way.
01:12As a Catholic, I was raised to believe God created everything, and then we pray to everything
01:18else.
01:19One of my younger brothers is into Christianity now, and he says, you know, everything in
01:26the name of Jesus.
01:28And that's, you know, obviously a sin for us.
01:32And I said, well, if you believe Jesus is part of God, then why can't you just say God?
01:39And he just spends hours making no sense whatsoever.
01:43He always asked himself questions like, am I doing enough to know the creator?
01:47Are the ways of worship I was taught even right?
01:50Why do we believe in three gods, and which is the one who runs the universe?
01:55Such questions plagued McBride's mind, and he could not find a good enough answer for
01:59even one of them until the day he read Malcolm X's autobiography, where he discovered how
02:05Islam had completely changed the African-American minister's outlook on life.
02:09He became curious and wanted to know more.
02:12As he delved into researching about orthodox Islam, he found that he couldn't be part of
02:17Malcolm X's Nation of Islam, since it was primarily focused on black Muslims, and he
02:22was a white South African man.
02:24When a friend of him gifted him a copy of the Holy Quran translated into English, McBride
02:29started to read the Quran thoroughly, where he discovered numbers of verses talking about
02:34scientific phenomena.
02:36As a specialist of functional neurology, he discovered verses talking about the structure
02:40and function of brain, something that he had spent years studying at university.
02:45He references the translation of Surah Al-Alaq, which is the 96th chapter in the Holy Quran,
02:51and verses 15 and 16, which mention the forelock, which is the lock of hair and the forehead.
02:57These verses imply that all bad decisions made by a human will be inhabited by seizing
03:02the forelock.
03:03Fast forward 1500 years, science has now revealed that the final decision for all good and bad
03:09actions are taken by the frontal lobe of the brain, also known as the forelock.
03:14How did Prophet Muhammad know this scientific phenomenon in the 7th century?
03:19Was he a scientist?
03:20Or did he just guess?
03:22This shows that Islam is truly a genuine religion.
03:25Equally important, Dr. McBride found in the Quran verses talking about the nature of God,
03:30who is one and indivisible, and there can be no other like Him.
03:34The Quran's teachings resonated with him, especially the emphasis on monotheism and
03:39the straightforward guidance it provides for living a righteous life.
03:42Honestly, your life becomes easier.
03:45You tell me what the rules are, and now I know exactly what I'm going to do and what
03:49I'm not going to do.
03:50If I don't know the rules, then how fair is life?
03:54That's nothing but stress.
03:55I mean, it's like when the police change the speed limit all of a sudden and you get caught.
03:59Well, it's not really fair because you didn't know it changed.
04:02The Quran is, even in the English translation, was so clear.
04:08This is exactly how we do things.
04:10This is right.
04:11This is wrong.
04:12These are the rewards.
04:13These are the punishments.
04:14It makes it easier for me to be a father.
04:17Islam has simplified my life beyond any measure I could have imagined.
04:20Dr. McBride became absolutely certain that Islam is the right path which clarifies to
04:25its believers what is right and what is wrong, and even offers a scientific explanation for
04:30it all.
04:31For McBride, this was enough to accept Islam and start worship the Creator, the Almighty
04:36Allah.
04:37He made a call to a local imam and told him he wanted to become Muslim.
04:41After pronouncing his shahada, he changed his name to Abdul Rahman.
04:44Alhamdulillah.
04:46Allah chose me to be a Muslim.
04:49He chose each and every one of us to be a Muslim.
04:53After becoming Muslim, Dr. Abdul Rahman announced his decision to his family, who didn't believe
04:58him at first, but he continued to explain to them what is Islam and why it is the right
05:03path to follow.
05:05After a certain time, his family too accepted the religion of Allah.
05:09Since then, Dr. Abdul Rahman has devoted his life to spreading the truth of Islam, where
05:14he has co-authored and published different books, including, Who's Right, Who's Wrong
05:18and Why.
05:20In this interesting book, he compares religious texts of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
05:26We will be delighted to read your point of view about the incredible journey of Brother
05:29Abdul Rahman to Islam.
05:31Thank you for your time.
05:33Assalamu alaikum.
