00:00Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz says any future peace talks on Ukraine must include
00:07Russia.
00:11Experts say glaciers in Austria are shrinking and the trend is continuing elsewhere too.
00:16If it keeps up, they could be gone within years.
00:25Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said that he and Ukrainian President Volodymyr
00:29Zelensky agree that Russia should be included in a future peace conference aimed at ending
00:34the war in Ukraine.
00:36Scholz also called for increased efforts to solve the conflict.
00:48A previous international peace conference in Switzerland in June ended with 78 countries
00:53expressing support for Ukraine's territorial integrity but otherwise leaving the path forward
00:58unclear.
00:59Russia didn't participate in those talks.
01:03Meanwhile Zelensky has said he's thankful for the support he received at the Ukraine
01:07defense contact group meeting in Ramstein on Friday.
01:11At that meeting, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the Biden administration would
01:16announce another $250 million military aid package.
01:20The U.K. said it would send 650 air defense missiles while Germany pledged a further 12
01:26self-propelled howitzers.
01:45And on the battlefield, fierce fighting continues near the town of Pokrovsk.
01:50More than 20,000 inhabitants remain in the city despite Ukrainian authorities continuing
01:55to evacuate the strategically important town.

02:14Sanchez will be received by China's President Xi Jinping and will hold talks with the country's
02:19Prime Minister Li Qiang.
02:21He'll fly to Shanghai on Monday evening where he'll open the Spain-China business meeting
02:25on Tuesday.

02:32and the world's second largest economy.
02:35The EU imposed provisional tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles in July.
02:40The European Commission said that Chinese firms unfairly benefit from government subsidies
02:45allowing them to keep their prices artificially low.
02:49That prompted Beijing to file a complaint with the World Trade Organization.
02:54And China's Commerce Ministry said it had launched an anti-dumping investigation into
02:59imports of pork products from the EU.
03:02Spain is Europe's largest pork exporter and in 2023 supplied China with around 22 percent
03:08of its imported pork, trade that's worth 1.2 billion euros.
03:20Researchers and hydrologists surveying glaciers in Salzburg say that the natural wonders are
03:25losing mass and size again this year.
03:43In the last 25 years, the Stubacher-Sonnblickis Glacier in Austria lost half its mass.
03:50Where there used to be ice 10 metres thick, there is now bare rock.
03:56Researchers say that if the trend continues, it's only a matter of time before the glacier
04:01disappears.
04:02And this is the same for glaciers elsewhere as well.
04:18for glaciers elsewhere as well.
