00:17A £200,000 donation from a company previously found guilty of illegally dumping waste on
00:23a conservation site was the biggest matter of contention, and became the start of a chaotic
00:28rise and fall over just a few months. He left his role in August, and has now announced
00:35that he will not be standing in the next Senate elections in 2026. It marks a real freefall
00:40for the former leader, and the end of an 11-year career in the Senate representing Cardiff
00:45South and Penarth constituency. In a post on ex-formerly Twitter, he said it's been
00:50a great honour to work in the Senate and will continue to serve his constituents and help
00:55further causes of social justice in the area.
