00:20had touched on race, religion and royalty issues

00:23with her recent comments about halal certification.

00:26We hope that she will be handled professionally

00:31where a parliamentarian should be given the opportunity

00:35to carry out the duties entrusted to her by the judges.

00:42Around 40 DAP members including Lim and party advisor Tan Kong Wai

00:46gathered to support Kong after police recorded her statement

00:50for almost two hours at Bukit Aman.

00:53So far, the investigation has been carried out under several articles.

01:01Article 298 of the Penal Code, Article 505 of the Penal Code

01:10and Article 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.

01:17Last Thursday, Religious Affairs Minister Naim Mokhtar said

01:20Chakim was studying a proposal to mandate that all restaurants

01:24and food companies that are not selling alcohol and pork

01:27obtain halal certificates.

01:29In response, court said this would make business operations harder

01:32and burden small businesses.
