00:00If you're looking to make the jump to a QLED or OLED TV then Hisense's U7N might just be
00:07the option for you.
00:08Hi, I'm tech writer Matt Morne-Hickson and I've been spending the last week or so using
00:13the 65 inch version of the Hisense Mini LED TV and this is my quick review.
00:21So I'm going to start with a few things that I like and then just a couple that I don't.
00:24So it's a really incredible TV, really incredible picture at a competitive price, you're not
00:30having to pay the huge, huge figures that you would for perhaps other similar quality
00:35TVs.
00:37If you're watching things in 4K, so if you've got a 4K movie, the picture quality, the depth
00:42of colours is really fantastic.
00:45For anyone who's a gamer out there, gaming looks really good on this screen, especially
00:50if you've got like an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, sort of the high-end stuff, but it has
00:57really fantastic options, so you can adjust depending on your game, so if you're playing
01:01Call of Duty you can switch to a shooting mode if you've got, it has currently programmed
01:06in for Black Myth Wukong, which is the sort of big game in the summer, it's got that mode
01:13programmed for that on the TV, so yeah it's really, really good for gamers.
01:17If you're one of the people who really likes watching live sports, like this guy here,
01:22I watched England vs Ireland on this the other day and it was really, really fantastic, I
01:26mean it was so big that it almost felt like I was sat in the stand to be honest.
01:31I also really like how smooth the interface is when you turn it on, it's got all the apps
01:35there, really easy to just log into stuff, to get going, to, you know, you don't have
01:40to really like hassle around to find things, which is pretty useful in this modern age
01:46really when we've all got so many different apps to bounce between, and the quality of
01:51the sound, so it's able to do like Dolby, Dolby sound, Dolby Atmos sound when you're
01:57watching things, obviously they're like un-clickable, but yeah when I was like watching things on
02:01Netflix and stuff, really, really good sound, and the streaming quality of the picture was
02:07yeah, fantastic.
02:09Now moving on to the couple of things that I didn't like, the size of the TV is not going
02:14to be for everyone, my partner said really good picture, vaguely threatening because
02:20of how big it was, I obviously have quite a small living room, so yeah if I was going
02:24to get a TV this size I probably wouldn't get a 65 inch because it's rather huge, but
02:30yeah, I mean that's just a minor gripe, so make sure you are aware of the size of a TV
02:35before you buy it really, is my advice, and yeah, leaning into that, like setting it up
02:41as in getting out of the box was a bit of a hassle, but Hisense do have a YouTube video
02:47that's really good for setting up, and we use that, but yeah, getting out of the box
02:52was a bit daunting, and then it's got like voice control and occasionally it just like
02:57jumps in and just starts yapping, and trying to record you and listen to what you're saying,
03:04so that's not particularly ideal, but who do I think this TV is for, well really I think
03:09it's for people that really love watching movies or are really into gaming in particular,
03:14so if you want to have sort of like a home cinema set up, this is the TV for you, I think
03:19if you're just watching like streaming and just the occasional TV show, probably you
03:26should look at a, maybe not this high end model, but if you're looking for that high
03:32end experience at not a super high end price, then yeah, consider the Hisense U7.
