00:19and social media in general was linked to worse results across all of those measures.
00:24If you start to feel like your child's screen time is getting a little out of control,
00:28here are three discussion points about healthy tech habits from a leading expert in the field,
00:33Brad Marshall. Number one, ask them how they feel after spending a lot of time on screens,
00:39whether it's playing games or watching short-form videos like TikTok. This is a good way to get
00:44them to tune into how their phone use might be impacting them both physically and mentally.
00:50Number two, ask what some other things are that they might like to do for fun that don't involve
00:54screens. Whether it's reading, baking, drawing, or a sport, if you can help facilitate the
01:01activities they actually want to do, it'll help get them moving about and being creative.
01:06And finally, ask how the two of you can make screen time more balanced with other activities.
01:12Not only is your child probably more likely to stick to rules they've had a hand in creating,
