00:04Make sure to book your tickets because there will be a direct flight from the country to the city of love.

00:13The Department of Transportation announced that there will be a direct flight from Manila to Paris

00:19and vice versa via Air France starting on December 8.

00:23This was made possible by the modernization of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport

00:29under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr.

00:33This is quite an important one.

00:36I think it's an announcement that will make Filipinos happy

00:44because they will be able to fly non-stop from the Philippines to Paris and from Paris to the Philippines.

00:52The reopening of a direct route between the Philippines and Europe has been eagerly awaited

00:59and I'm particularly proud and happy that it is with Air France and a direct connection Paris-Manila flight today.

01:08This is the first direct connection between the Philippines and Europe since the COVID-19 pandemic.

01:14It is expected that the so-called direct flight will strengthen the tourism and tourism of the two countries.

01:20Air France will also open its airport in the Philippines.

01:23Three days a week, the flight will be from Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday,

01:28where the trip will last 14 hours.

01:31Tickets will be sold online starting on September 10.

01:35New generation aircraft will also be used with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions.

01:41We are operating for A350-900, for the Airbus A350 series.

01:46This is also a new generation aircraft, so very environmentally friendly.

01:52And actually, in terms of CO2 emissions, it's 25% less than the prior aircrafts that we were using.

01:59The Transportation Department assured that NAHIA is ready for the high number of passengers in the Manila-Paris direct flight.

02:07NAHIA is very much prepared.

02:10NAHIA will work closely with the officials of Air France KLM, their ground handlers, their caterers,

02:22so that Air France will have a smooth operations here in the country.

02:29The French Embassy also assured that the visa issuance will be fine,

02:33but they are asking the Filipinos to plan the trip to France properly.
