00:00We go live to the World Congress Against Fascism being held in Venezuela.
00:05Let's listen to the statements provided by Executive Vice President Dusty Rodriguez.
00:21Good afternoon to all these special guests that have come from the world and also the
00:31nationals to an event that gathers, I would say, the healthy minds, the good souls of
00:40humanity, that today we are aware and we confront one of the most rural threats like the fascist
00:54network that today is very serious and poses a threat to humanity.
01:02And I call it the international group countering fascism.
01:09I want to welcome President Nicolás Maduro, all the guests, and I want to thank the arrangers
01:21from Argentina, Manuel Pineda, our brother, Secretary of International Relations of the
01:30Communist Party in Spain, Spain is unfashioned lately, and also the scholar, the U.S. scholar,
01:39welcome, welcome all brothers and sisters of the world who have been gathered.
01:47There have been over 95 countries participating in this international event.
01:54I greet Foreign Minister Ivan Hill, Deputy Ministers, Secretary General of ALBA, the
02:02General Direction of the PSUV, and the great patriotic Paul Simon Bolivar social movements
02:11that have come here today to accompany us on this event.
02:17I would like to start with this quotation that defines fascism as the extreme vanguard
02:28of capitalism.
02:29It is hard to address this issue without mentioning capitalism and its crisis, which stemmed the
02:41world wars and the role of the U.S. boosting this current, this fascist far-right current
02:52in Europe and how it was developed precisely in Europe, and today how the concentration
03:01of capitals, of the bigger capitals that have been withdrawing, that have been on a new
03:10technological transformation in the world, and how this has brought about political consequences
03:20and the development of fascism, and that's why it is very important for us to have you
03:28here, and really as a Venezuelan, as a Venezuelan, I am really proud of combating fascism because
03:38I know that Venezuela, as well as Venezuela, is confronting an expression of far-right
03:48fascism.
03:49I am aware that in other regions of the world there have been similar situations, symbolic
03:56situations full of deep reflection, and I would like to ask a minute of applause for
04:07the Palestinian people, which is the expression, the most outstanding expression of resilient
04:16people in front of fascism, a people that never surrenders, the Palestinian people inspires
04:24the struggles of humanity, and how in front of us the coup-mongering media outlets promote
04:36and boost violence, death, hate, to an extent that we as human beings, we as human beings
04:48don't understand, because as it had happened in all countries of the world are raising
04:58their voices for defending the injustices on the Palestinian people, long live Palestine,
05:09and thank you very much brothers and sisters.
05:11I know that many times there are people that from the communication transnationals distort
05:29the reality, but reality imposes, and Palestine imposes as if this genocidal strategy is for
05:45the world to see what is fascism about, and what is Zionism about, because the power of
05:54the western media outlets and the financial international system are being disguised under
06:07these actions against the Palestinian people, because they are just backing up these terrorist
06:16actions, and so they have double standards, and so they don't have moral to talk about
06:25Venezuela, or talk about the Venezuelan people, since the arrival of Commander Hugo Chavez
06:35in office has seen how fascism works, and in our republican history that we have been
06:49living through, and there is Rojas, so Venezuela knew what it meant our martyrs from the 1960s,
07:01from those tortured, from those forced disappearances, so we have met with fascism, we have suffered
07:21fascism, and we know that the Venezuelan people have been facing actions which we have to admire,
07:33because we have to face coup d'etats, assassination attempts, imperialist invasions, economic wars,
07:45economic blockades, and most recently some of you were here for the electoral process on July 28th,
07:56and the plan was already set, we have talked to that, we have mentioned that it was happening,
08:07it was about to happen, because we know that they wouldn't recognize the victory of President
08:16Nicolás Maduro, and so because when we ratified the victory of President Nicolás Maduro,
08:27we ratified our peace and sovereignty, and the people who were debating about directing their
08:36goals, and so we described the far-right fascist plans, a trap in which they placed the power of
08:53the dictatorship of algorithms on social media, they sponsored over 10 million dollars to defeat
09:03the Bolivarian government and the Bolivarian revolution, and they did it by using the,
09:18so they put Venezuela at the service of the imperialism, this far-right, and the CIA continues
09:28to direct the aggressions and the threats against Venezuela, their menaces are on their way,
09:37it is not enough for them the will of the people expressed on the elections of July 28th,
09:45you know what happened later, hours later the fascist violence on the streets, murdering our
09:54youngsters, burning down headquarters, in facilities, attacking officials, murdering
10:03our women for being chavistas, and there's a boy, a terrible case, that confesses that he
10:13murdered a chavista leader because on social media they posted chavistas must be killed,
10:23and so he murdered an outstanding leader in the Bolivian state, and that's what algorithm promotes,
10:33so these are algorithms in which fascism has to take the lead to counteract the construction of
10:45free peoples, and so these algorithms impose the normalization of hate, violence, death,
10:54and that's why for them it is almost a show, to demonstrate, to showcase, to show the genocide
11:06in Palestine without any grief, and so it is the normalization of what this stage must be
11:14against humanity, and so this has to do with the deepened crisis of capitalism in which prevails
11:23inequality, and so you have seen what is being posted by these NGOs, which 1% of the population
11:35in the world concentrates the equivalent of the 45% of all wealth in the global population,
11:47it is a profound crisis of inequality in which it is estimated that it needs to spend half of a
11:59century to overcome these inequalities, and so we have to say sadly that Latin America and the
12:08Caribbean is the continent in which inequality is represented the most, and it has to do with
12:16that we are very near from North America, and it has to do with the development of imperialism,
12:27and so these algorithms are intended to direct our minds and the growth of these inequalities,
12:42and so this capitalism has led us to a climate emergency in which we already know that the
12:51difference between what they have shown of climate emergency, and we are at a point in which there's
13:06no return, and so decades ago commander Fidel Castro warned that we were at a decisive time to
13:17save the planet, so let's see if we can preserve ourselves as a species, and so I want to provide
13:28an example, the example of the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2019, beginnings of 2020, what
13:40happened with capitalism in the pandemic in which there was a complete lockdown, there was a growing
13:50of capitals concentrated on the biggest corporations possessing the vaccines, the drug companies,
14:03and so the imperialism depends on the technology development, and so the crisis is boosting this
14:19capitalism, and so let's mention the main companies, the main technological companies
14:28which are mostly gathered in North America, all of them are concentrated, are gathered in the
14:38United States of America, and if you see their performance, you can see that it is negative,
14:46so we are talking about a crisis that today threatens the economic stability of the whole
14:57planet, and that same capital that come against Venezuela this July 28th, and they show the
15:09face of, and it appeared the Mr. Musk, he appeared threatening Venezuela, threatening
15:24President Nicolás Maduro, and along with him a mercenary, and so they took their masks off,
15:33because they wanted to resolve the Venezuelan matter, and so it was needed for capitalism and
15:45their crisis to develop the Venezuelan affair, and so what, so the Venezuelan people learned
15:56a lesson, because they were defeated by the people, Elon Musk, and it was a defeat for the
16:07international fascism, and on that day over 136 private and public institutions were victims of
16:19cyber attacks, and all of them, all those companies were in dispute to control Venezuela,
16:31they attacked the electoral system, because they thought we wouldn't have the capacity to show our
16:39results, and it was proven that the Venezuelan people, which is aware and truly armed of science
16:51and knowledge, the people knew what was going to happen on July 28th, and they intended to
16:59prevent the electoral results to install and solve a civil war, therefore what happened on
17:10July 29th, 31st, and on August 1st and 2nd, I said that it demonstrated the people's resilience
17:29and it showed how the people of Venezuela don't surrender and don't get undermined by violence or
17:40the most aggressive powers of this planet, so we were attacked by the technological imperialism
17:49by these greatest corporations, and they provide us with 30 million attacks per minute,
18:04and the best answer, you can just see it, is to be here in Venezuela and
18:13see that the country is at peace, that in a country in which the people are working for
18:21their future, for their welfare, for their development, it is the right for the future
18:28of the Venezuelan people that was at stake, and that cannot be negotiated, we cannot deliver
18:37the resources, our sovereignty, our people to them, and that's what they don't understand,
18:47Europe is under a crisis due to their subordination, due to their U.S. subordination,
18:59and so they are subordinated, subdued to the U.S., and that's why they are under the crisis,
19:13and their essential rights are undermined, and that there's a new world that emerges,
19:25the BRICS plus, and here the symbolic battle that is waging Russia against
19:33neo-fascism, against NATO, against the United States of America, it is the war
19:41of NATO and the U.S. on Russia and on China, and so there is a wage of humanity, and so
19:56the people of Venezuela goes for the, but if fascism would take all the spaces of this planet,
20:11there won't be a square meter in which we can breathe, have a certainty about it,
20:20and so I really thank your participation here, because it proves not only solidarity, but also
20:28awareness that this is a global battle that we are just waging, it's not a single battle in
20:35Venezuela, in Palestine, in Russia, but it is a global battle against the serious menace that
20:42means fascism as an organization of organized crime, in which they are placing pieces,
20:51Argentina is an example of it.
20:59Out Mille, we will see it, the people of Argentina deserves it, and the Argentinian
21:08people deserves to live in freedom, they deserve to be vindicated in their existence as human
21:20beings, not being vulnerable or humiliated in front of a big fascism as Mille, but we will see it,
21:30and that's why this organized crime supports all the commongering powers, and sponsorships,
21:44and all the communication technologies on social media, on digital dictatorship that they have
21:51imposed in the whole planet, and so it is a crucial time, and our idea is
21:59that we summoned to a great international anti-fascist movement, to a great anti-fascist
22:10movement for the peace of humanity, and we said humbly as Venezuelans who have been living the
22:19coup d'etat in 2002, and that we have lived the far-right fascism of 2014-2017
22:34and that we are today victims of a criminal economic war, of a criminal illegitimate
22:42illegitimate blockade, and so we said with the authority that it means how the Cuban people have
22:51resisted over 60 decades, of knowing what dignity means for not being subdued,
23:08and for not receiving orders by the U.S. imperialism, and so there are
23:18some U.S. authorities who said we don't recognize the Venezuelan government, but who cares,
23:28we are only interested that the Venezuelan people ratified Nicolás Maduro as president of the
23:33republic. It takes a lot of dignity and sacrifice of overcoming and defeating the
23:48economic blockade against Venezuela, and here brothers and sisters of the world
23:55are coming here with a slogan until the end, so the fascism referred that until the end,
24:11which is very similar to a Hitler slogan which implied the annihilation of Chavistas leaders
24:22and of the Bolivarian revolution, and so that's why we said that it is a culture of hatred,
24:29of arrogance, of not accepting the opposite, the opponent, so that's why we take the responsibility
24:41of not surrendering. Pay attention to what a danger the neo-fascist network in Europe and in
24:52Latin America. Today there are fascist leaders and movements in 17 countries in our country,
25:04in our continent, sorry, in Argentina, in Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, in Colombia, Costa Rica,
25:12the United States of America, Ecuador, Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay,
25:22Mexico, and Venezuela, so imagine what a barbarism, imagine that our countries
25:37be the genesis, the seed of fascism, but for me it is even, Europe is even worse,
25:45worse, in which 21 countries have movements that promote neonazism and fascism, and what happened
25:58with fascism in the Second World War remained for museums, because today there is a tolerance,
26:08a co-existing policy with fascist movements in Europe, that's the threat we are posing,
26:18that's our threat today, that's the threats of today, and so that's why the movements
26:27in, that searches for, this movement that search for peace and for co-existence,
26:38and as Xi Jinping said, so it is a different world, contrary to fascism, that is taking over
26:49Europe and the Americas, and that's why we must be united as a single mind, a single soul,
26:59a single soul, to combat and not allow that fascism stretches its power across the planet,
27:09because it's the biggest menace that humanity poses, so it is capitalism and its development,
27:23so that's why brothers and sisters, the task is hard, it's difficult, but there cannot be
27:31a more, a bigger goal than the defending human beings as we can recognize, and in which love
27:43must prevail to sustain truthful relationships among human beings, so welcome to Venezuela,
27:52welcome on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro in this global congress against fascism,
28:00and our voices must be united to defeat this, to defeat this scourge, thank you very much.
28:12We were listening to the statements of the Venezuelan Vice President Ders RodrĂguez at the
28:16opening of the World Congress Against Fascism. The executive vice president reaffirmed the importance
28:23to come together and develop mechanisms to face fascist ideologies. Ders RodrĂguez also strongly
28:30condemned the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and called to all peoples of the
28:35world to stand with a free and sovereign Palestine. The Venezuelan official also condemned the
28:41hypocrisy of western mainstream media that intentionally distorted the reality of many
28:46like in Venezuela and Palestine.
