03:48She started pacing the room, but then suddenly stopped and took a deep breath.

05:56Your trip tomorrow may be dangerous, Mom.

06:58As Eric placed his arms around her, she sank into his embrace.

07:12What's going to happen to that poor baby?

07:28The Kidnapping

07:30Susan and her new assistant Irene arrived at the Swiss airport late in the afternoon.

07:36Emma had told them that Eric would send a few people to meet them and that they would

07:39be wearing black coats with badges with the Kaleidoscope name on them.

07:44As soon as Susan walked out of the airport, she spotted Eric's people waiting by the curb.

07:50One of them looked at her and tipped his hat, knowing that they were looking out for her

07:55while she was so far from home.

07:57She felt her nervousness fade.

08:00That must be the man who's picking us up, Irene said as she pointed to someone standing

08:05across the street.

08:07He was holding a sign with Welcome to Switzerland, Miss Susan Miller, written on it in Italian.

08:14Go double check and make sure it's him, Susan replied.

08:18I don't understand Italian and I don't want to embarrass myself.

08:22She actually spoke Italian quite well, having studied several languages in school, but sensing

08:28that Irene was up to no good, she played dumb to try and make her letter guard down.

08:34Irene walked over to the man and whispered something.

08:38She then turned around and waved at Susan and said, We're all set.

08:43This is our guy.

08:45Susan nodded and walked over while Eric's people trailed behind her, weaving through

08:49the crowd to hide their presence.

08:51This way, Irene said, as she led her to a waiting limousine and then opened the door

08:57and got in.

08:59Susan smiled at the man with the sign and then looked at Irene before getting in the

09:03car and sitting down.

09:05The man shut the door behind them and got into the driver's seat.

09:10It'll take us about two hours to get there.

09:13Irene said, You have plenty of time to nap if you're feeling sleepy.

09:17I definitely could use a good nap after that long trip.

09:21Susan replied.

09:22She glanced in the rearview mirror and spotted Eric's people in a car following them at a

09:28distance.

09:29She rested her head against the window, closed her eyes and pretended to nap.

09:35Seeing Susan nodding off, Irene asked the driver in Italian, When are you going to make

09:40a move?

09:42There's a three way crossing along the way where robberies and kidnappings happen all

09:46year round.

09:48He said, That's where we'll stop.

09:50I have a bottle of wine laced with sedative chilling in the cooler beside you.

09:55A glass of that will knock her out cold.

09:59Offer her some of it.

10:01A surprised look appeared on Irene's face, but she quickly contained her emotions.

10:07With trembling hands, she poured Susan a glass of wine and then nudged her awake.

10:13Would you like some wine?

10:15She asked.

10:18We'll help you unwind.

10:20Susan slowly opened her eyes and nodded.

10:23I would love some.

10:25Once she took the tall glass of wine and closed her lips over its rim, pretending to take

10:29a big sip and swallowing before returning it to Irene.

10:33That's the perfect nightcap.

10:36She said, Thanks for suggesting it.

10:39She then closed her eyes and pretended to fall into a deep sleep.

10:43Irene relaxed as she saw Susan drift off.

10:47I'm so sorry for doing this, she thought, but I have to repay Jenna somehow.

10:54Susan stayed perfectly still and started to snore softly.

10:58Irene watched her for a few minutes to make sure she was completely knocked out and then

11:03turned to the driver and said, Please don't be too rough with her.

11:07How we treat her isn't any of your business, he said, narrowing his eyes.

11:14We'll do whatever we need to get the job done.

11:17The car continued to race forward and Susan didn't show any signs of waking.

11:23After an hour of driving, they reached the dangerous three-way crossing where someone

11:29was waiting to meet them.

11:31The driver stopped the limousine, tied Susan's wrists and ankles together and wrapped a blindfold

11:37over her eyes.

11:39He called over the man standing at the crossroads and the two of them lifted her out of the

11:44car, bringing her over to another vehicle.

11:48She's your problem now, the first driver said.

11:52Irene watched as the man took Susan away and closed her eyes tightly as she felt her palms

11:57begin to grow clammy.

11:59They're carrying her off like she's a dead body, she thought.

12:04What horrible things are they planning on doing to her?

12:07She wanted to tell them to call the whole thing off, but her words stuck inside her

12:11throat.

12:13She just stood there and watched as the man drove away with Susan.

12:16The driver returned to the limousine and said, you can call the police now.

12:22She fumbled to grab her phone out of her purse and her stomach clenched as she dialed the

12:27emergency line.

12:29I'm calling to report a kidnapping.

12:32The kidnappers rushed away with Susan trapped in a backseat, but the large black van full

12:37of Eric's people swerved in front and blocked the road.

12:41Several muscular bodyguards piled out of the van, yanked the kidnappers out of their

12:45car and restrained them.

12:47They helped Susan out of the car, removed the blindfold, and cut the restraints around

12:52her wrists and ankles.

12:54Then they slashed the car's tires to make sure no one would drive away with it before

12:58the police arrived to arrest the kidnappers.

13:01Are you okay?

13:03One of the bodyguards asked as he placed his hand on Susan's shoulder and handed her a

13:08bottle of water.

13:10She caught her breath and then gulped down the water, her face glistening with sweat.

13:15I'm fine, she said.

13:18You guys got here just in time, though.

13:20I was starting to get a little panicky, and it was hard to pretend that I was so completely

13:25out of it.

13:26You're very brave to have played along for so long, he said, taking the empty water bottle

13:31from her.

13:33Heck, I was seriously scary.

13:36I knew Eric would send someone to save me.

13:40She said, even though I trusted him completely, it was still pretty traumatic, she thought,

13:46wiping the sweat from her forehead.

13:48If I had moved at all, they might have killed me.

13:52Don't worry, Eric had everything under control.

13:55The bodyguard said, we'll take you to a nearby inn to get some rest.

14:00Susan nodded and smiled.

14:02I sure could use a real nap after all that stress.

14:06Her eyes glazed over and she let out a deep sigh.

14:09I can't believe that Irene turned against me so easily for one of Jenny's schemes, she

14:15thought.

14:16How could she be so cold?

14:19After arriving at the motel and settling in, Susan called Emma to let her know she was

14:24okay.

14:25She then called Jeff, who was sitting in his study at home, and explained the entire situation

14:31in detail.

14:32Jenna is completely off her rocker, he said.

14:36I can't believe she would risk your life like that.

14:39He flew into a rage and pushed everything off his desk, sending stacks of papers flying

14:43everywhere.

14:44What's wrong?

14:46Peter asked, rushing into the room after hearing the noise.

14:51I've never seen him this mad, he thought as he saw Jeff's face contort into an angry grimace.

14:57What's gotten into him?

14:59Jeff took a deep breath and calmed down.

15:02I'm glad you're okay after all that, he said into the phone.

15:07Let's wait and see what she'll try to do next, and we'll go from there.

15:11I'll be careful until then, Susan said.

15:15Don't worry too much about me.

15:17Hearing the conversation, Peter said, let me guess, Jenna did something terrible again.

15:24Jeff put down the phone and clenched his fist.

15:26How did our family create such a monster? he asked.

15:31Where did we go wrong?

15:33Peter walked over and hugged him tightly.

15:36Susan is right, he said, you shouldn't worry so much with Emma and Eric around.

15:41Every time Jenna tries to do something awful, she'll only hurt herself in the end.

15:47Let's wait and see what she plans to do to the family business.

15:51Jeff said, she's lucky that she's pregnant or I wouldn't be playing so nice as soon as

15:58The kid gloves are coming off.

16:00Irene called the Miller house to report that Susan had been kidnapped.

16:04And when the housekeeper took the call, she was so startled that she almost dropped the

16:09phone on the floor.

16:11The housekeeper rushed over to Jenna, who was sitting in the living room watching TV.

16:17What's wrong?

16:18Jenna asked, turning the TV off.

16:21Susan has been kidnapped and the police are searching for the kidnappers, she said in

16:25a panic.

16:27How could this happen? she asked as she heard Jeff's footsteps swiftly approaching.

16:32She forced a worried look onto her face.

16:36Don't tell my grandfather about this.

16:38I don't want him to worry about her.

16:40Call the Swiss police and check on the situation, Jenna said.

16:45Our corporation is expanding and we can't do it without Susan.

16:49Jeff stood behind her and watched her put on her act.

16:53He was tempted to walk up and shake her, but he knew he had to put up with her trickery

16:58for a bit longer while their plan was put into motion.

17:02The housekeeper looked at him and said, Hello, Mr. Miller.

17:07Jenna turned around and gasped.

17:10Have you heard the terrible news?

17:12What happened to Susan? he asked.
