00:00They have abortion in the ninth month.
00:03They even have, and you can look at the governor of West Virginia,
00:06the previous governor of West Virginia,
00:08not the current governor who's doing an excellent job,
00:10but the governor before.
00:12He said, the baby will be born,
00:14and we will decide what to do with the baby.
00:16In other words, we'll execute the baby.
00:18There is no state in this country
00:20where it is legal to kill a baby after it's born.
00:23Nowhere in America is a woman carrying a pregnancy
00:27to term and asking for an abortion.
00:31That is not happening.
00:32It's insulting to the women of America.
00:35One does not have to abandon their faith
00:38or deeply held beliefs to agree.
00:41The government, and Donald Trump certainly,
00:43should not be telling a woman what to do with her body.
00:47I have talked with women around our country.
00:51You want to talk about this is what people wanted?
00:54Pregnant women who want to carry a pregnancy to term,
00:57suffering from a miscarriage,
00:59being denied care in an emergency room
01:02because the health care providers are afraid they might go to jail,
01:05and she's bleeding out in a car in the parking lot?
01:08She didn't want that? Her husband didn't want that?
01:11A 12- or 13-year-old survivor of incest
01:15being forced to carry a pregnancy to term?
01:18They don't want that?
01:21And I pledge to you, when Congress passes a bill
01:25to put back in place the protections of Roe v. Wade
01:28as president of the United States,
01:30I will proudly sign it into law.
01:33But understand, if Donald Trump were to be reelected,
01:37he will sign a national abortion ban.
01:39There she goes again. It's a lie.
01:42I'm not signing a ban, and there's no reason to sign a ban
01:45because we've gotten what everybody wanted.
01:48Democrats, Republicans, and everybody else,
01:51and every legal scholar
01:53wanted it to be brought back into the states,
01:55and the states are voting.
01:57And it may take a little time,
01:59but for 52 years, this issue has torn our country apart,
02:04and they've wanted it back in the states.
02:06And I did something that nobody thought was possible.
02:09Individual state is voting.
02:11It's the vote of the people now.
02:13It's not tied up in the federal government.
02:15I did a great service in doing it.
02:17And the Supreme Court had great courage in doing it.
02:20And I give tremendous credit to those six justices.
