00:10Nineteen-year-old Scott Phillips killed just outside his home by what police believe was
00:17a single assailant.
00:19It was an ambush in the sense that switching the power off lured him outside, the person
00:23was armed, he was waiting and he unleashed a furious attack on the victim.
00:29Emergency services were called to Carey Avenue in Seton just after 10 o'clock last night
00:35and found Mr Phillips suffering from stab wounds to his stomach.
00:39Paramedics tried to assist him but he died at the scene.
00:42So we came outside and we just seen ambulance and cop cars and detective cars come rushing.
00:48We could hear a girl crying, screaming saying help him, help him.
00:53Police aren't sure of the motive behind the crime but say the two men involved may have
00:57known each other.
00:58It's possible that they did or it's possible that somebody could have sent somebody else
01:03there to do it.
01:04During a search of a property in Hectorville this afternoon, police arrested a 19-year-old
01:09man charged with the illegal possession of a shotgun and ammunition.
01:14We believe that that person might be a person of interest to our investigation but we have
01:17no evidence to incriminate that person at this time.
01:21Late today, police revealed they're looking for the drivers of two vehicles seen in the
01:26area at the time of the attack, a small white hatch and a dark coloured four-door sedan.
01:33They also want to speak to a person who was riding a scooter nearby.
01:37CCTV also said to play a key role as police tracked the moments before and after Scott
01:43Phillips was killed.
