The glass industry tests its first 100% electric furnace in Cognac

In less than 15 seconds, drops of glowing molten glass are formed and then blown into translucent bottles for a prestigious spirits brand: the Verallia glass group is testing a new 100% electric furnace, a world first and a major step towards decarbonizing the industry.
