00:00Over 2,100 records have shaken the world this year, from blindfolded skipping on one leg
00:07in Nigeria, to dogs hanging socks on the washing line in England, or most skateboard tricks
00:13in a minute in Japan, they've covered it all. These world record holders were chosen
00:18among 57,400 applications submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records.
00:25Like Adnan al-Musa al-Faremli, a Syrian refugee who did the most pull-ups in a wheelchair
00:31weighing over 32 kilos in just one minute.
00:34I don't know how I'm going to feel when I open the 2025 book and see my records in there.
00:43I've got no idea, but I think I'll be very surprised, very proud and very happy all at
00:47the same time, because I've accomplished, achieved and succeeded.
00:56These YouTubers from Sheffield also proudly contributed to the book with the creation
01:01of the world's largest electric toothbrush standing at two metres.
01:06So the reason we ended up bringing to life the world's largest electric toothbrush is
01:09because me and my friend Sean have a YouTube channel where we bring to life kids' invention
01:13ideas. So four to 11-year-olds send us their invention ideas as pictures or videos and
01:18we bring them to life. And an 11-year-old George sent us his idea for a giant electric
01:22toothbrush and as soon as we saw it, we knew how to build it.
01:26Other record holders include an Irish magician who performed the most magic tricks in one
01:31minute for under-16s, or the 68-year-old in India who runs the largest collection of wacky
01:38vehicles in the form of cricket bats, high-heeled shoes or pool tables.
01:43The Guinness World Record book tracks every possible achievement as people find ever-new
01:48ways to push the boundaries of human endeavour. And what record could you break this year?
