00:00Senator Pia Cayetano led the groundbreaking ceremony for the 7-story Athletes Dormitory in Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

00:15This Thursday morning, the 7-story Athletes Dormitory in Rizal Memorial Sports Complex was inaugurated.

00:23Senator Pia Cayetano led the groundbreaking ceremony with the Philippine Sports Commission led by Chairman Richard Bachman

00:32and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways.

00:37In an interview with Cayetano, who also became a National Team Volleyball Player,

00:41she used this opportunity to give back to Philippine sports.

00:46It feels very good. Like I said, I used to be here every morning of my life during the time that I was training for volleyball.

00:54And never ko naman naisip, even then, I was only 17, so di ko pa talaga naisip yun na I'll have this opportunity to give back.

01:02Talagang at that time, gusto ko lang maglaro, gusto ko lang i-represent yung country.

01:07And yeah, it never occurred to me. So it feels really, really good to be able to have that opportunity to give back.

01:14It's a blessing. It's a privilege that I have.

01:16Kabuhuang isang daan at dalawampung manlalaro ng boxing at Pensak Silat ang gagamit sa Dormitoryo no may kasama ring mga cleaning venue.

01:25Ayon kay Bachman, simula pa lamang ito ng mga dagdag na pasilidad at pagsasaayos ng Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

01:32The next one, by October-November, will be the baseball, the museum, gymnastics, all the dormitories in field sports.

01:46And then, if Engineer Vicky and the staff cannot accommodate also, the oval.

01:55Inaasahan na abute ng apat na taon bago maipatayo ang seven-story athletes dormitory na check na mapapakinabangan ng ating mga pambansang atleta.
