Who is Hauraki Naturally, what is it all about?

This video is a synopsis of the hauraki naturally group, of like minded nudists and naturists, who promote the idea of #naturalfreedom.
Transcript
00:00Hauraki Naturally is a community of ordinary people who enjoy and promote the freedom of
00:19a clothing optional lifestyle, including naturists, nudists, body positivity campaigners, healthy
00:26living advocates and many others.
00:29We are open to anyone, including those who are interested in trying out and learning
00:33about this way of life and its characteristics.
00:37Our primary aims are to combat and remove the long ingrained taboos, shame and sexual
00:43connotations that typify one's attitudes towards the naked human body, to educate society on
00:49the many physical and mental health benefits of spending time without clothing, and to
00:54normalise nudity as a respectable standard of casual dress in appropriate public situations.
01:01Simply being naked in appropriate situations is not illegal in New Zealand and in many
01:05other countries.
01:07We offer a wealth of information and support.
01:10The right to choose what or what not to wear belongs to everyone.
01:14If you love to shed these clothes and spend time naked, then we hope you can find what
01:19you're looking for here.
01:21The benefits of spending time without clothes are many and varied.
01:25The sheer freedom of being naked in the great outdoors has to be experienced to be understood.
01:31Whether for health, close to nature and the environment, or just sheer practicality, you
01:36too can benefit from the joys of a clothing optional lifestyle.
01:41Being naked outdoors on a sunny day is a delight to your senses, creating a feeling of wellbeing.
01:48Some scientific research is now finding that time spent in green and blue spaces is strongly
01:54linked with mental health and combating depression.
01:57Being naked lets you feel the breeze and the warmth of the sun over your whole body, without
02:02the hindrance that clothing imposes.
02:05Time spent naked in the great outdoors allows you to unwind.
02:10Many people feel more connected with nature when naked.
02:13Spending time walking naked through a majestic forest, or along a shoreline, or by a babbling
02:18stream can be an ethereal and spiritual experience, reconnecting you to the earth and your natural
02:24surroundings.
02:26Gardening naked is a great way to feel invigorated, liberated and at one with nature.
02:32Swimming is infinitely more pleasant and sensible without togs.
02:36You have no clothing restriction, and you will avoid the stings of microscopic jellyfish
02:44called Hydromedusae, which get caught inside swimming togs, causing serious skin rash and irritation.
02:51Without the facade of clothing, people see each other as equals.
02:55Societal status disappears and you are accepted as you are, no matter who you are or what
03:00you look like.
03:02Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, scars, birth defects, but in a clothes-free environment
03:07everyone is accepted without prejudice.
03:11There is no need to worry about how your body compares with someone else's.
03:15Hierarchy naturally advocates body autonomy, the right for a person to govern what happens
03:21to their own body without unnecessary external influence or coercion.
03:26This includes you being in charge of when you want to wear clothes and when you don't.
03:31It's surprising how often you can go about your daily activities around home without
03:35needing clothes on.
03:38Contrary to popular opinion, nudity is not harmful to children.
03:42In fact, research suggests that the opposite is true.
03:46Children who have grown up in a clothing-optional home environment have a far better and healthier
03:50understanding and acceptance of the human body, including their own, and how it develops.
03:57On approaching puberty, they lack the impulse of curiosity about the human body that causes
04:02concern to parents of other kids.
04:05These especially tend to not get hooked into pornography and it's woman demeaning culture.
04:11Whether it is meeting up with friends, playing sport, attending social events or just relaxing,
04:17being connected with other clothes-free people can give you a great deal of enjoyment.
04:21There is always something going on and you never need to feel alone.
04:26Much of the Hierarchy Naturally website is open to the general public where people have
04:30access to a wealth of information about life without clothes.
04:34There is also a media page with advice for journalists when writing about the subject.
04:38You don't have to register to access these open areas.
04:42We accept people in New Zealand and overseas, and we have no age restriction, provided that
04:48your use of the website does not violate your country's laws.
04:53What's the cost to you?
04:55Nothing.
04:56We do not charge levies to become members of Hierarchy Naturally.
05:00We rely on voluntary support from our people.
05:03If you see that there is a value in what we do have, you have the ability to donate
05:08to our projects and provide assistance to keep the lights on.
