00:00Philippine celebrity pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the self-proclaimed appointed son of God,
00:07pleaded not guilty on Friday to a charge of sex trafficking.
00:11Quiboloy is also due to enter his plea later on Friday to charges of child abuse before
00:17another court.
00:18Quiboloy and four other co-accused arrived in a police minibus around 45 minutes before
00:24his scheduled arraignment.
00:26Handcuffed and in an orange detainee shirt, the preacher was almost unrecognizable, underneath
00:32a bulletproof helmet and vest.
00:34Quiboloy, who is facing a raft of charges in the Philippines and the United States including
00:40sex trafficking, money laundering and child abuse, was arrested on September 8 after a
00:46weeks-long search of his church's sprawling compound by more than 2,000 security personnel.
00:52Quiboloy is followed by millions of people in the Philippines, where church leaders hold
00:57heavy sway in politics.
00:58He is a longtime friend of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
