00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're tackling the most punishing boss battles you'll encounter
00:13following in the footsteps of Wukong.
00:15Watch out for spoilers and rage quits!
00:21Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:26the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:36The bosses found in the secret areas of each chapter are naturally bound to pack a punch,
00:41given the hoops you have to jump through to unlock them in the first place.
00:44Among them is the Scorpion Lord, who, when he's not getting wasted, loves nothing more
00:49than decimating his victims with his stinger.
00:51As expected, he's in the business of unleashing mass amounts of poison damage.
00:56He'll spin around the arena and lash out with multiple tail strikes that, if not avoided,
01:00will shred through your health.
01:14Before it got nerfed to hell and back, this bizarre fusion of metal orb and withered horse
01:18was a nightmare to deal with.
01:20Despite being so huge, having to strike at its stalk legs ensured that it was all too
01:25easy to miss your target.
01:27This was made all the worse when it slowed down time, diminishes your overall health
01:31and unleashes non-stop barrage of lightning AoEs that forces you to keep your distance.
01:36With so few chances to pile on significant damage, Captain Wiseass over here made for
01:40an infuriating slugfest.
01:51Admittedly, the last of the Yaksha clan is something of a glass cannon.
02:05Get in enough blows fast enough and you can stagger him surprisingly quickly.
02:09But believe us when we say this crimson beast hits hard.
02:13Taking the power of Wukong for himself, the former red boy's anger and sense of vengeance
02:17turned him into one of the slickest demons we've seen in modern gaming.
02:21But also, a boss that can decimate your health if you're caught on the wrong side of his
02:25blades.
02:26Especially when he extends them to crazy proportions.
02:35Hundred Eye Daoist Master.
02:44Your time with this centipede abomination is either going to be a challenging one or
02:48borderline impossible.
02:50And it all depends on whether or not you put in the work to earn the Weaver's Needle.
02:54With it, you can disable this monster's most lethal trick.
02:58Though you're still going to have to contend with its sword work, tendency to bury himself
03:02underground and barrage of lightning damage.
03:05Without the Needle, the Daoist Master will create its own dimension, wherein your stamina
03:09will be drastically reduced, leaving you wide open to be brutalised into a game over.
03:20Yin Tiger.
03:28Should you manage to bring together all the smiths in the game, you'll find yourself invited
03:33into the painted world.
03:34There, you'll be able to employ the services of Yin Tiger, who will act as your resident
03:39blacksmith, as well as an optional challenge.
03:42This kitty not only knows how to forge weapons, but also handle them like a champion, given
03:47that he will teleport around the arena and lash out with swings that deal ludicrous damage.
03:52He's also a huge fan of blocking, so we highly recommend unleashing every ability you have
03:57under the sun, lest you want to be sliced into mincemeat.
04:08Supreme Inspector.
04:16The Celestial Court has plenty of enforcers under their charge, including this heavenly
04:21embodiment of the phrase, talk to the hand, able to conjure up scorch and thunder damage
04:26on the fly, as well as ride wheels of fire like a unicycle.
04:30Which sounds hilarious until he darts across the arena to mess you up.
04:34He hits hard, fast, and unless you have the Plantain Fan on standby, he'll conjure a hellscape
04:39that constricts your movements and leaves you as an open target.
04:43No one walks away from this thing's cosmic bitchslap.
04:53Yellow Wind Sage.
05:00This oversized rat was a gear shift for many in terms of difficulty.
05:04Its attacks range from sweeps with its trident, whipping up tornadoes, and even summoning
05:09a giant statue to crush you, but its most grievous technique was attacking out of bounds.
05:14Try as you might, if this rodent chooses to hop back over a certain section of sand, it's
05:19going to be impossible to reach him.
05:21All you can do is prepare for when it launches its inevitable flurry of strikes, and hope
05:25you can land a counterattack amidst the chaos.
05:28Having the Wind Tamer on hand to stun him is a huge help, but it doesn't take away
05:31how much of a pain this thing is to deal with.
05:43Yellow Long.
05:49All four of the longs are challenging in their own right, but the one that stands atop them
05:53all is their yellow robed sibling.
05:56With a miniscule battleground and able to unleash the heaviest of damage at blinding
06:00speed, Yellow Long is an absolute menace to contend with.
06:04All it takes is one misstep and he will zap your health to nothing with basic hits alone.
06:09Combined with his tendency to bolt around and create massive waves of lightning in rapid
06:13sequence, it's no shocker that this thunderous beast earned the title of hardest boss.
06:18For a time at least.
06:25Stone Monkey and the Great Sage's Broken Shell.
06:31It only makes sense that in a game about essentially becoming the next Wukong, that you'd end
06:35up fighting some remnant of him.
06:37It just so happens that this particular remnant is four phases of trial, error and pain.
06:43As the Stone Monkey, the widespread damage that this boss can cause is ridiculous, made
06:48all the worse when he summons a clone with its own health bar for twice the punishment.
06:53As for the Great Sage's Broken Shell, this is when the fight transcends from a duel between
06:57equals to a one-sided slaughter where you are constantly flexed on.
07:02There's humiliation, and then there's getting frozen just so you can watch a boss drink
07:06from your health potion.
07:15Erlang the Sacred Divinity
07:17During the prologue, we delighted in showcasing our godly powers against Wukong's long-time
07:28nemesis, and then he made a return as the game's ultimate secret boss, wherein he decided
07:34to put Wukong's apparent successor to the test.
07:37Needless to say, he trounced us.
07:39Erlang not only seems to have a counter for every move in your arsenal, but comes equipped
07:44with his own defense bar, making it all the more difficult to shave off his health.
07:48As for his attacks?
07:49Let's see, giant axes that can instantly wipe you out, supercharged spear swings that can
07:54instantly wipe you out, a barrage of projectiles that can stagger you in place BEFORE instantly
07:59wiping you out.
08:01The list is endless.
08:08When you have players comparing him to Redan, you know you're dealing with a different
08:13caliber of boss.
08:22Which Black Myth boss battle are you still stuck on?
08:25Let us know in the comments!
