How Microplastics May Be Making You Gain Weight.
Microplastics, tiny particles found in food, beauty products, and even the air, have been linked to a range of health issues including heart disease, stroke, digestive problems, and even cancer. Recent research suggests they may also contribute to weight gain by disrupting hormones like cortisol, estrogen, and others. Cortisol, the stress hormone, regulates blood sugar, inflammation, and blood pressure, but too much can lead to weight gain, especially around the midsection, neck, and face, and may also cause high blood pressure.

00:00Welcome back sun bro, we hope you all in great health and great money.
00:04Before we start, please at least subscribe so we can have little money for food and paying bills.
00:09Alright, today we are going to talk about how microplastics may be making you gain weight.
00:15Microplastics, tiny particles found in food, beauty products, and even the air, have been
00:19linked to a range of health issues including heart disease, stroke, digestive problems,
00:23and even cancer. Recent research suggests they may also contribute to weight gain by disrupting
00:28hormones like cortisol, estrogen, and others. Cortisol, the stress hormone, regulates blood
00:33sugar, inflammation, and blood pressure, but too much can lead to weight gain, especially around
00:38the midsection, neck, and face and may also cause high blood pressure. One reason this is
00:43particularly concerning is that microplastics are found mainly in ultra-processed foods like hot
00:47dogs, chips, and cookies, which make up over half of the typical US adult diet. These foods are
00:52already known to harm metabolism, and microplastics add another layer of risk by acting as endocrine
00:57disruptors, interfering with hormone function and potentially contributing to weight gain.
01:02Tracking and measuring microplastics is challenging because they are so small and
01:05increasingly pervasive in the environment. As more microplastics enter the ecosystem and break
01:10down into even tinier particles, their potential health effects grow harder to detect but may have
01:14significant long-term consequences. You can reduce exposure to microplastics by avoiding
01:19microwaving food in plastic containers, choosing whole foods that aren't packaged in plastic,
01:24and limiting the use of plastic water bottles, utensils, and cutting boards.
01:28While there's no proven way to remove microplastics from the human body yet,
01:31early research suggests probiotics might help trap them in your digestive system.
01:36BPA, a chemical used in plastics, can cause metabolic disruption and weight gain.
01:40BPA-free products aren't necessarily safe, as they may use bisphenol F and S, which also disrupt
01:45hormones. Avoid relying on safe plastics and focus on reducing plastic use overall.
