00:19express his feelings to the love of his life.

00:28Why do Enrique Guerrero and Irma Pimentel a la Bamba separate?

00:32Enrique and Irma were the voices that made Mexican rock and roll famous at Universal

00:36Music Station, Mexico.

00:39For Enrique, Irma was the most fantastic human being in the universe, and she was the love

00:43of his life.

00:44Although both of them sang together and rose in popularity, Irma started to receive extra

00:48attention.

00:50Enrique did not like it and was affected by it.

00:53He couldn't handle the limelight Irma was receiving, therefore, he quit the job.

00:57Quitting the job meant staying far from Irma and not interfering in her successful life.

01:02Therefore, 20 years passed, and Enrique made Rio Verde his home.

01:07Enrique separated from Irma because of his bloated ego, otherwise, they would have been

01:11a wonderful couple rebelliously singing rock and roll.

01:14His desire to hold on to the fame he received and his inability to accept Irma's success

01:18and attention brought about his downfall, or curtailed his growth.

01:35money so that he can visit the place with his old fame and glamour.

01:39He applies for a job at Abasolo Corner Superstore, and the lovely owner, knowing that he is the

01:43legend whom he used to listen to once upon a time, offers him a job as a grocery bag

01:47man at the cash counter.

01:50Pichot, Eduardo Manet, explains to Enrique the task of a grocery bag man when the grocery

01:54comes at the counter, i.e., to already start organizing the grocery as it arrives, dairy

01:59with dairy, fruits with fruits, and cans with cans.

02:03Enrique observes the chemistry between Pichot and Amanda, Andrea Chaparro, at the cash counter

02:07and slowly tries to separate them, aggravating Pichot.

02:11Enrique and Pichot get off on the wrong foot.

02:14Enrique, looking to make extra money, thinks of various ways to do so and therefore needs

02:18Pichot's help.

02:20He convinces Pichot to help him transport the trash cardboard piling up at the store

02:24in exchange for lessons on romance and life.

02:27From cardboard, he wants to move to transport scrap steel that's been lying in the corner

02:38Pichot feels lonely and abandoned and considers it the end of the world for him.

02:42He gives up on life, but Enrique gives him hope, standing by him as a caring father would.

02:47He makes enough money from the tips he receives through public relations and by selling cardboard

02:51and steel.

02:53And consequently, after convincing Amanda and Pichot by faking a hernia operation, he

02:57travels to Mexico City.

02:59Hence, fulfilling Amanda's wish to go to Mexico City, where the coolest bands play, and satisfying

03:04Pichot, who wanted desperately to go on a vacation, basically to move out of Rio Verde.

03:09After having reached Mexico, they are all by themselves, and Enrique leaves invitations

03:14for Amanda and Pichot for the anniversary celebrations.

03:18When they attend the celebration, they come to know that Irma is no more, and the celebration

03:22commemorates the pillar of the industry.

03:24The movie ends with Amanda staying back in Mexico City and living up to her promise,

03:28with Enrique dying a happy death, and with Pichot returning back to Rio Verde to live

03:32a happy and contented life, knowing that everything ultimately comes to an end.

03:37Does Desperate Enrique reunite with a La Bamba, his love?

03:41Enrique's love for Irma Pimentel, La Bamba, is vintage, though old, it never goes out

03:45of style.

03:47Enrique innocently gathers the money so that he can revisit the music station to meet the

03:50love of his life, and revisit the place with the same fame, stature, and dignity with which

03:55he had left it.

03:57Enrique has grown old, and with old age come all the sicknesses.

04:00Nevertheless, he hasn't lost his rebellious attitude.

04:04He is all the more passionate about rock and roll music.

04:07He is focused on making money and thinks of varied ways to earn it.

04:11At first, as a grocery bag man, he, with his sweet talk, gains tips.

04:16He later works with Pichot to transport the trash cardboard collected from the store and

04:20sell it.

04:21And when he sees the steel piling up, he marvels at it and thinks of it as gold that can fetch

04:25him still more money.

04:27Enrique has realized that everything must come to an end.

04:30If one is famous, it will be for a certain time, and the fame, too, will come to an end.

04:35At one point, he thinks of himself as trash that nobody cares about and whose price keeps

04:40changing, giving Pichot an example of a supermarket where they keep changing the price of commodities

04:44like avocado, lemon, and marmalade.

04:47In Pichot, Enrique finds his youth and vigor.

04:51He collaborates and associates with Pichot to get his job done, helping Pichot by giving

04:55him relationship advice while his own romance is incomplete.

04:59Enrique fails to unite Amanda and Pichot because love can't be built systematically, it transpires

05:04organically.

05:05Enrique perhaps understood this, but only very late in his life.

05:09Therefore, he desired to meet Irma.

05:12He desired to meet her and reveal to her how much he still loved her and respected her

05:16choices.

05:17Thus, making ends meet even by guilelessly shoplifting and other tactics, he gathers

05:21the money.

05:22He tells lies and convinces Amanda and Pichot to join him in Mexico.

05:27In Mexico, Enrique is reminded of his time with Irma and the passion with which both

05:31of them sang together.

05:33But when he arrives for the anniversary celebration, he is shocked by the news of Irma's death.

05:38His longtime desire to meet Irma in person is shattered at that moment.

05:42He gets emotional on stage and blurts out that rock and roll music will never die, meaning

05:46to say that the love between Enrique and Irma is forever.

05:50Enrique doesn't meet Irma, but he sure realizes his mistake of not staying back and supporting

05:54his love.

05:56He realizes that although everything ends, love doesn't, and if it's genuine, it only

05:59grows stronger day by day, like his love, which grew stronger and more vibrant despite

06:04the distance, time, and space.

06:07His love for Irma made him think creatively and relive his life with a purpose.

06:11Have a Nice Day is a heartfelt movie that lets you surrender your moral code and allow
