00:07The Ram 1500 Tungsten model is in the spotlight once again,
00:11and this time it's all about what's under the hood.
00:14The Tungsten model, which sits atop the brand's light-duty offerings for its ultra-premium
00:18design and materials, is receiving recognition for its performance.
00:23The power-rich and versatile 3.0-liter Hurricane high-output straight-six turbo engine,
00:28as tested in the Ram Tungsten, has earned a 2024 Ward's 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems Award.
00:35In the Tungsten, the 3.0-liter Hurricane H0 SST delivers 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque.
00:43It is paired with a TorqueFlight 8-speed automatic transmission,
00:47which optimizes smooth shift changes for fuel economy, performance and drivability.
00:53This recognition is the second time a 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo engine
00:56has been honored by Ward's editors.
00:59And finally, the Ram brand is entering the 2024 Rebel Rally next month,
01:04hitting the sand in the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO.
01:08Automotive journalists and Rebel Rally veterans Jill Simonillo and Kristen Shaw
01:13will drive the RHO in the 9th annual all-women off-road rally
01:17that covers more than 1,500 miles through harsh desert conditions.
01:21This is their third Rebel Rally as a team.
01:23Simonillo will navigate, while Shaw will be behind the wheel.
01:27We test our Ram trucks in some of the toughest conditions,
01:31and this event is a unique way to showcase what the RHO is truly capable of.
