00:00I did want to talk specific about Jaden. I thought he was really impressive, particularly
00:05in the second half yesterday. I think he made some adjustments. What'd you take from the
00:10rookie quarterback?
00:11He, you know, he continues to grow and that's, you know, we've talked about this and we'll
00:15talk about this as the year goes on. You know, we want to see him make better decisions.
00:21We want to see him hang in the pocket a little longer. We want to see him handle pressure.
00:25I'd love to see him run out of balance and protect himself. That one hit he took on the
00:31side, I guarantee his ribs are a little sore today, even though you wear rib pads, they're
00:35a little bit sore today. And you know, you relate that to the, if you watch the Chicago
00:40game last night with Houston, Caleb Williams just got beat to an ever loving pulp last
00:47night. I mean, they, they ran over him upside down and spun him around a thousand different
00:52directions, but you, you can't continue to take those kinds of hits. That's why you learn
00:57to get the ball out of your hands as quick as you can and make decisions.
01:00I thought cliff Kingsbury did a masterful job early in that football game to give Jaden
01:07a chance to find some comfort. You, you look at, you look at the first half of that football
01:12game, hardly threw the ball down the field at all, do little quick screens, threw the
01:17ball into the flat through some short stuff and just really got the ball out of his hands.
01:23And so now you now, as, as everybody works up a sweat and works up a lather and gets
01:28into the game, you can expand that a little bit. He makes the big throw down the middle
01:33of the football fields are tight at, which really, you know, set up the opportunity to
01:37win the ball game. But that, you know, that moment, it's just what we were talking about
01:42before that one moment, that one play makes a world of difference, whether it's on the
01:46defensive side, the offensive side, and you know, obviously the kicking game spoke for
01:50itself yesterday, but I thought I, as I watched that game, I was like, boy, he's really, really
01:56just, you know, spoon feeding Jaden, just to, just to get him more comfortable, just,
02:02and we used to do this with hitches all the time, you know, we'd run Charlie all the time.
02:08That's all it was. And what it did is it got me into a rhythm. It got me feeling comfortable.
02:12I got the ball out of my hand, gave the offensive line a chance to sort of take the blows a little
02:17bit, figure out what's going on up front. But I really, you know, I don't think anybody's
02:21talked about that part of it, but I thought Cliff did a great job, a masterful job.
