00:10Shortly after 8am yesterday, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Derbyshire Police were
00:15called to reports of the fire on Newbold Road.
00:18Fire crews from Chesterfield, Matlock, Staveley and Claycross were deployed to tackle the
00:23blaze, with residents warned to keep their windows and doors closed.

00:57Campaigners are planning to appeal against a controversial decision to give the green
01:13light for a massive housing development near two Derbyshire villages.
01:17Bolsover District Council's Planning Committee approved outline planning permission for the
01:21Clown Garden Village scheme to build 1,800 new homes between Clown and Bulborough.
01:27Dominic Page, representing developers Waystone, told the council that the development would
01:32provide much needed housing and jobs, and will also provide highway improvements and
01:37more than £25 million in contributions to the area's infrastructure and services.
01:42However, campaigners have raised objections to the scheme, amid fears that it will lead
01:46to overcrowding, place a strain on highways' health and education facilities, create flooding
01:51problems and could also affect the countryside and wildlife with the loss of greenbelt land.
